"Anime Toxic has extremely competitive prices and a good selection of import anime dvds and merchandise. Unfortunately, customer service appears to be lacking:
Ordered from Anime Toxic on 12/19/04. According to tracking number, order was shipped. However, the order was never received. Inquiry with the United States Postal Service revealed that order had been lost at local post office (neither post master or driver can find order). Next, tried to contact website to arrange for either refund or re-shipment. Attempted to contact anime toxic via telephone listed on website, however, number had been disconnected. Further attempt to reach the administrative contact of anime toxic website revealed that number listed by whois search had been disconnected. Will attempt to resolve thru paypal dispute resolution or ultimately by credit card dispute resolution.
Update 1/4
Refund was obtained from store via Paypal resolution process. Vincci claimed that the original package could not be delivered due to the wrong name being placed on package.
Second order was placed on 1/9. Order was shipped next day! Order was received promptly and there were no problems. Further, telephone number currently listed on site appears to be functional."
"I bought a box set from this 'company' which was faulty. Wanting to return it I had to request an RMA number. Having done this I have since heard nothing from them regarding a RMA number so that I can return it. I have sent repeated email's asking for assitance and I have also tried to phone them, but have since found out that the numbers given on the site and on a Post Card that was sent with the box set are false. One of the phone numbers is for a completely different 'company' and the person I spoke to let it be known that I was not the first person trying to contact anime toxic. I could sense in his voice he was getting extremely fed up with all the calls coming through to his phone number.
So, having sent repeated email's asking for an RMA number so that I can return the box set (all of which have been ignored) and then finding out that the phone numbers listed are false I have come to the conclusion that who ever is behind this 'company' is a rip off merchant and con man.
I urge people NOT to shop from this site as you will never see your money again if you have any problems with the items ordered.
One other point: the payment was made through PayPal. I contacted them regarding this matter and they were very unhelpful - in fact the woman I spoke to was pretty rude and had a bit of an attitude on her. I doubt very much I will use the PayPal system again as they make it very easy for those who wish to rip off people to do just that as they do not have to leave any sort of legitimate contact details, like phone numbers and addresses. Shop through PayPal at your own risk."
