Great Alternative

"Living 10 miles from towers.....My flat antennas started getting finicky with Cleveland channel 8 and 19. And channel 25 was no signal. I found myself constantly adjusting one way or the other to get certain stations and boy did this start to get annoying. I even tried to bring from the basement glass block to the 1st floor windows with no luck (seemed worst). I guess these flat antennas tend to internally breakdown too fast! I was getting 38 channels from the start, then it got worst from there, down to 31 channels."

Nice

"The only wish I have is that the pole that comes with the antenna was longer (it's exactly the same as the one we had for our dish, that's why we re-used the hardware). If you have a longer pole that can clear some obstacles, you'll get even more channels."

Top Quality

"Channel quality will depend on the broadcaster; most of the channels show in clear HD quality and some channels are not shown in HD quality. It's not a problem, since we only watch a handful of channels through the antenna."

Simple to install

"The antenna itself is simple to install. We re-used the mounting bracket and pole from our old dish without a problem. Got it wired to the coax cable that was attached to the dish and scanned for channels. Being about 35-36 miles away from downtown Chicago, we managed to pick up 63 channels on the living room TV and 66 channels on the basement TV (not sure why the small difference)."

Highly Recommended

"This is a highly recommended item and deserves your attention. I do not care about how it looks but it may do really well in garage eaves or attic if not outside."

Interesting

"The only downside I can think of is this does not come with a cable, but I picked up a 100 ft. coaxial cable for $14 that ended up doing great. The length was a bit overkill, but point is, it's not a huge additional investment, and I haven't read great things about the cables that come bundled with other antennas, so it was not such a loss. I would heartily recommend this to anybody with any interest in going over-the-air."

Works beautifully

"I've been pairing some smaller indoor antennas with Playstation Vue for several years now, and it's worked fine. But, there have been some frustrations. The range was limited to Lafayette (IN) stations, which was generally fine, but it meant no PBS. And indoor antennas were susceptible for interference, and often were pretty picky about placement to pick up all the stations, which had broadcast stations both to the east and west of us. To try to get some consistency between TVs, and maybe pick up some Indianapolis stations (for PBS, mostly), I bought this antenna. It worked beautifully. I mounted this in my attic. I think it took me longer to climb up in my attic than to actually mount this. I got lucky and found there was already a hole near where I wanted to place the antenna to run my cable out. From there, it was as simple as disconnecting the cable Comcast had run for their service and connecting my coaxial cable in. Now all my outlets pick up around 30 channels without any sort of boosting or additional equipment. I haven't tested it, but it would not surprise me at this point if I were able to pick up Chicago stations if I had point it that direction."

Pleasant

"I am pleasantly surprised by the number of channels this antenna was able to bring in. I installed in attic about 12-13' above ground and it brought in signals from about 60 channels here in the Clearwater, FL area. My main desired channels are located about 31-35 miles away and It met it's promised range of over a 70 mile radius. Many were network duplicates from farther away than my desired locals or spanish speaking channels that I could not use.
I had to use an attic or indoor solution since my deed restrictions prevent use of outdoor antennas.

I'm Glad

"I have tried a few antennae before, so I was very skeptical when I decided to tried this one for the last time. Well, I am glad I did because it saved me from being forced to go back to cable. I now have all my major channels coming in clear and strong with a high degree of reliability. Poor reliability was always the problem I had with the other antennae that I tried.
A key point to note is that this antenna is very directional so, even when you think you are pointing the antenna in the general direction of the broadcast antenna, some adjustment may be necessary where it no longer, in your opinion, appears to be pointing in that direction. Therefore using a signal meter during your installation is essential. I strongly recommend this antenna to any serious cord cutter.

I love it

"So, I have 15 years Telco and CATV plus additional 29 years as electronics instructor for Career Technology Center in Alabama and in the foothills of the applachian mountains, signal can be hard to come by. I purchased the RCA Yagi ANT751 and i love it. I installed the win guard pre amp and a channel master 4 channel amp and currently at 44 channels and counting. As I tweak my positioning, there is a defined increase in my channels and will have 4 outlets of TV, coupled with Netflix and Prime for 99.99 year, I will save in excess of $1300.00 over the next year. Better quality that my satellite provider can give me. One warning hold true, if one applies too much signal, you will experience wipers on the screen that looks like venetian blinds on the set. I strongly recommend cutting Goth cord, take a chance and put the money in your pocket. I am saving to spend on my grandkids and travel. I grew up when television was free...i am returning to my childhood, I presume!"

Perfect one

"3. I’ve been wanting an outdoor antenna and this is a perfect one. I’ve had an indoor Mohu Leaf and only got a handful of channels. With this antenna I was able to pick up all the major channels I wanted in Tampa, Fl. Which included NBC, CBS, ABC, and Fox, it scanned a total of 64 channels, somewhere channels that had nothing broadcasting. I did have to make adjustments to get channel Fox because of the tower location in my area. All the major channels were clear. It was very easy to install, took about 15 mins."

Works fine

"I cut the cord several months ago and was using a large VHF/UHF that my neighbor stopped using. It worked fine as long as the weather was good, but rain and fog here on the coast caused some serious loss of signal. I'm between 25 - 35 miles from the two transmitter towers for the major stations in some hilly, (west) coastal terrain. After reading other reviews, I thought I'd try this. Was amazed! It’s less than half the size of the prior antenna, but is bringing in both UHF and VHF digital channels flawlessly in sketchy weather. Will reserve final comment until it goes through a bigger rain storm, but immediately produced HD signals where previously lost them completely. Very happy with the size, price, and signal quality. Only gave a 4 on durability as no experience with that yet, but hopefully fine. I also found it interesting my old larger antenna design was actually two antennas (separate UHF and VHF elements) combined on a mast with a splitter. This one only has one connection which likely eliminates some loss."

Absolute Goodness.

"Initially purchased one of those flat digital antennas, it was horrendous. The channels would never remain. Once we passed a channel, it would disappear until we went back to the TV settings and re-tuned. It would also lag and often become grainy. We replaced the above with this RCA antenna and it was an immediate and drastic difference. We are capturing DOUBLE the stations and without any lag. Absolutely no grainy/lousy channels. It is as if we are connected via our former cable provider. The antenna is currently within the house, by a corner window. I cannot wait until the weather permits me to mount this antenna outside on the roof. I imagine we may be able to communicate with the space station."
