Ok so..I Was looking to start a business relationship with a professional camera equipment rental Agency but nothing is professional about Aperturent. They are your typical equipment rental agency. They pick and choose who they want to rent & looks as if they won't rent to my kind. I have a huge wedding coming up this following Saturday. Which is my first & one of my biggest weddings thus far!!! I own a Nikon D850 & needed a second camera for the job so i decided to go with the D5 to rent. So I browsed through there website & ordered the items I know would create great production for my gig. NOTHING AT CHECK OUT SAYS "You will require full retail deposit for each item selected". It only says a deposit is required when you order high end equipment. These words "A certificate of insurance or a deposit will need to be provided in order to rent this item." will be right next to the item if it was required. In this case the equipment I requested didn't require neither deposit or insurance EVEN THOUGH I HAVE INSURANCE !!!! I even emailed them my updated insurance as proof of address when it didn't require insurance lol!! I DID EVERYTHING THEY ASKED ME TO VERIFY i sent them a picture of my license, the debit card i used to place the order, & proof of address. I even sent them a picture of me holding my license lbs!! I requested for the items to be mailed by April 20 Friday with next day shipping. It was confirmed via email of the shipping but once I logged into my ONLINE ACCOUNT the scheduled shipping was April 30th Monday. So even if they did decide to rent to me I STILL would have been assed out & they would have shipped the equipment a week later. That is ridiculous !!!!!!! MY MAIN POINT ABOUT THIS REVIEW IS THESE CAMERA EQUIPMENT AGENCIES ARE SO QUICK TO TAKE YOUR MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT ONCE YOU PLACE THE ORDER!!! THEN YOU HAVE TO WAIT 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK BECAUSE OF THERE SELFISH MISLEADING/LYING WEBSITES THAT DON'T BE SPECIFIC ABOUT ORDERS!!! MY MONEY DIDN'T HAVE "SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION"! MY BANK WASN'T LIKE HOLD ON Aperturent LET ME VERIFY THIS TRANSACTION. It was available for you guys to take and guess what you guys took it and now i'm broke because until my money returns. Now i'm out of a big GIG & have to wait up to 5 days for my money to return to my account.
SUGGESTION TO YOUR COMPANY....
You guys should wait until your done "verifying" to take the money from your customers.

All orders should be verified before Aperturent is allowed to take from peoples bank account. You guys got is **** backwards and it is very inconvenient for the ones you take money from but don't let rent & make them have to wait up until 5 days. If I still had my money in my account i could have simply went with another company!!!
In the comments are pics of my order and how they messed up shipping days also my documents to verify everything they asked which should have been no problem for them to rent to me at the end of all this all i got was a "You need 12k for a deposit Can You Put That Down Today" & a "click" hung up right in my face after I said "No Thank You"."

"Have been using this place since 2013 off and on mainly because it was recommended to me while taking a digital photography certifications course after 40 years of "playing" with cameras and my instructor highly suggested this place to test out equipment first or to rent equipment that you might only use once in awhile and could not afford to purchase them. It has worked out great especially since they have a local pickup site in Atlanta and I don't have to mess with shipping. The main telephoto lens I rent has always been in perfect condition and is a dream to use, one day I will bite the bullet and buy one but in the mean time, rental is the way to go. I am in and out of their office within 5 minutes! Renting a lens is a great way to try out a lens you are considering buying, or using a lens you can't afford to buy. The other guys gave me a run around regarding my verification process and you guys were able to wrap it up quickly and get me to my shoot on time. "Amazing experience. I am a new photographer and didn't want to invest in a lense, so I wanted to try it out for my first photo shoot on a Saturday. A lady called to remind me to pick up the lense, I told her on my way. Well many events happened and time was running out. She called again to let me know we close at 1230pm and use google maps and basic directions. It was already 1230pm! Her name was Maria. She said she would wait a bit for me. Well, I got lost an one way streets, she called again to let me know she was still there and provide more directions. I finally get to the building and its 6stories high and I have no clue what was the suite number and no signal on my phone. It's 110pm. I found the office for apature, it's open but no Maria.David at the desk let me know she was in the building looking for me. I got my lense!
In this day and age, no one is going to stay open later or past hours to serve you. Not on a Saturday when it's a beautiful 80degrees out.
Dealing with Maria was my first experience with apature and she IS the example of going above and beyond! And while there she never rushed or sped through the rental information. I truly hope her Manager Oscar Fererra is aware of the asset within his office. I hope someone capable of providing employees with recognition reads this and gives Maria and well deserved recognition. Needless to say, I took some amazing pictures with my rental, couldn't of done the job without it. Thank you. Thank you. It's 5 stars all across from me.

For me , Aperturent an excellent experience ! As a newbie to the digital photography world I was totally intimidated to rent lenses , much less ask questions to 'REAL' photographers. That was out of the question! What if I sounded stupid or embarrassed myself ? I may very well have asked stupid questions AND embarrassed myself but the wonderful folks that run the Aperturent office on Roswell rd in Sandy Springs were so fantastic with me during my very rental . I was unsure what to do and tried to play it all off as my zillionth time renting supremely expensive photo equipment. Thing is , my obvious drooling over the particular lens I'd rented gave me away to the power of 10 . Aperturent customer service is the best as is the entire rental process. It's really simple to find something specific or to just browse their inventory online. The actual check out process was quick and easy too. The ONLY email I've received from Aperturent was the rental conformation email . No spam or unwanted ads from them at all. I like that a whole lot too.
As you can probably tell , I highly recommend Aperturent to anyone renting photo , video and associated lighting gear . They're the best ! I rented the nikkor 85mm 1.4G AF-S today to be picked up Jan 2, 2014. Thanks Aperturent ! "
