"I have purchased an Apex Lithuim Iron Phosphate battery as a replacement for a UPS VRLA battery. I have measured the capacity of fully charged batteries of both types, and found that the Lithium battery has approximately 50% more charge compared to lead-acid battery (450 vs 300 kJ) at 24 Amps discharge current. This is not widely known that the lead batteries have a much reduced effective capacity at a high discharge current, as the advertised nominal capacity (e.g. 12 Ah) can only be reached while discharging it very slowly, typically over 20 hours. This is not the mode a UPS operates in during a power outage. Therefore the lithium battery is an excellent fit for this application, despite its higher cost. "

"Quick shipping. got all 5 batteries well packed in packing nuts. all batteries are used HARD in some custom high powered electric vehicles. Batteries even survived a couple full discharges and were still able to recover using a Hitec digital charger. 5 months and still going. i normally get about 3-4 months of life in this application ( depending on use). "

"Stay away from this circus. If they get the order right, then you could be OK. But they sent the wrong battery and its been a battle to get it resolved in a fair manner. Its taken over two weeks to get the right battery on the order. Just buy local and pay the extra money. "
