"I genuinely believe my son's care takers care about him and I truly appreciate the care they provide for my son."
"We really enjoyed taking our child here when he was an infant. The staff is always very happy to see them when we arrive. However, over time there has been a lot of turnover with staff and the communication with teachers has been less frequent which has been frustrating as he gets older and is learning and experiencing more during his time at daycare."
"We love GSRP and are extremely disappointed in the other staff"
"The director of this school is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. You can tell she doesn’t care about the families that she serves. It’s like pulling teeth to get her to lift her head to say hello when you and your child walk through the door. I don’t know if it is a total lack of care or poor time management, or a combination of both - but her communication and presentation are not what should be represented as a leader who serves young children, their families, and the staff who directly care for our children."
"AppleTree Monroe used to be a top-notch daycare center before it got bought out. My oldest, who is now in second grade, attended this center and I was blown away by how much he learned. My second, who is now in Pre-K at ISJ Academy, did wonderful at this center, before it got bought out. As soon as it got sold, the care went downhill and fast. He was sent home multiple times for what I would consider as normal 3-year-old behavior. But the teachers were burnt out, had no structure for the classroom, and just wrote him up for anything to get him sent home. My third, who is still at the daycare center, is only there because I don't have time to put her on a waiting list anywhere else. As soon as the 2-year-old room opens up at ISJ Academy and she turns two, she will be out of this center."
"I like the daycare because of the surveillance system & the very convenient app parents are able to use, but the Director and the majority of the staff are very unfriendly and unwelcoming, and almost makes me not even want to attend there at all. Also dislike field trip fees parents have to pay but when they cancel a field trip because of being shortstaffed with the promise of it being rescheduled, it doesn’t get rescheduled in time"
"The staff are great. The turnover seems to be an issue. I wish the staff would know more about my baby’s day when I pick her up at the end of the day. The meals are really good. It’s just not affordable in the long term."
"Excellent. Teachers and staff are warm and professional. Building is well maintained and classrooms are well stocked with all kinds of learning items. Communication with staff and teachers is easy and professional. My kids have attend daycare, preschool, and summer camp at this AppleTree and all have been enriching experiences. Highly recommend."
"My general experience has been terrible. Again staff not knowing how my daughter was all day at pick up and two days later I have her in the hospital being diagnosed with RSV. Sharing my concerns with Maggie and she not doing anything about it. Not being greeted by the staff when I walk in, but greets everyone besides me and usually it is Maggie sitting up front. Shelby will greet me and she is very respectful and nice oppose to Maggie. She handles my needs to her best ability, Maggie does not. I also have seen multiple reviews from others I do not know personally saying the exact same things almost word for word matching my concerns as well that’s how I know this is not just a coincidence. My feelings are valid and my concerns are valid. I have been to other daycares with them and never got treated poorly always was reassured on how my kids did all day and also always was treated with the up most respect as every parent should be."
"They do such a good job keeping up with the building the kids it's always enough teachers and caregivers in the building to get everything done they are very flexible out any thing I ask them to do or help me with the staff is just awesome I love that my kids go there and they are very happy to be there as well"
"Absolutely fantastic! I was worried at 1st but now I absolutely love it! My kids loved the staff and they always are happy."
"Great staff Super friendly and welcoming. "
"Our experience has been a blessing and a curse at the same time. The providers that are there clearly love our child, which is amazing. However, short staffing issues have put incredible stress on our family. PLEASE PAY YOUR PEOPLE ENOUGH THAT THEY WANT TO STAY AND BE INVESTED IN YOUR COMPANY. We've provided meals, giftcards, and a lot of encouragement for the teachers, but as clients we can only do so much. Our family cannot survive another fall/winter/spring with this center if there are weekly classroom closures like there were last year. We have already begun to explore other options for care, but really do not want to leave this center."
"Overall, we've been pleased with this school. The staff shortages/classroom closures haven't affected us as much due to only being enrolled for 2 days and having alternate care options for when closures do fall on our days. Our main concern is safety and security of the building, which I addressed in a previous comment box. Beyond this, I would appreciate greater acknowledgement/welcoming when entering the building (staff looking up from their computers, a friendly good morning, etc.) I appreciate the time teachers take to talk to parents at pick-up and drop-off."
"We enjoy and appreciate the staff and classroom teachers. We do not believe the price is equal to the services provided. Since COVID the constant classroom closures has negatively impacted our family weekly. With all the short staffing we are not given extra credit days to keep our kids home when able (spring break) and still have to pay when they’re not attending."
