I opened the breaker to the dishwasher and closed the water inlet isolation valve. When I loosened the water line connection I realized the isolation valve was not holding ... I buttoned things up and called our plumber. Our contractor lumber is backed up so the door repair will wait until the isolation valve is replaced.
