"This drive hub kit was the last of four repairs to my 5 year old Whirlpool. We'd apparently been very rough on it as it's very easy to overload a tub with the wash plate rather than a central agitator. My hub was slightly worn but not stripped, so whie it probably had some effect ons pin balance it was not a factor in agitation slowness.
I DID need to haul out the impact wrench to get the bolt loose. It can likely otherwise be done if you have somebody else snake their hands in there to hold the tub while you break the bolt loose. And i did indeed use medium threadlock putting it back.
I have also replaced the suspension rods, drive belt and "splutch." Washer now operates like the day we bought it, although I find that the agitation motion still appears weak. That said, The parts were obviously factory, and the Appliance Parts Pros videos are just superb. Thanks all."
