"Received two, one terabyte DVR expanders without a hitch. Seems like a quality product and is working fine, so far. They are attractive; mostly plastic but looks like textured aluminum and they are silver colored, NOT the pinkish hue that they appear to be on the internet. What a "goof" on their advertising department's part to give the housing a reddish cast, when photographed! I really thought it would be "flesh cloor" when it arrived. I bought it anyway...
Western Digital's-competitive product, is hard to find and get and not available in the terabyte size. I tried a regular, high quality eSATA drive and the image was unacceptable. I say the price is "high" but there are no better solutions, like buying and assembling components (and have it work) yourself, IMHO."
