"After making a $3799 purchase, I received a confirmation email stating that I was outside of the normal delivery area and would incur a $200 delivery fee. The email stated I would be contacted to discuss this. I was never contacted. When I emailed to ask about it, I was told that this was “still a manual process for us, but we are working on adding this into the prepurchase process for the future.” Article waived this non-disclosed fee 4 days after purchase. On my delivery day, I received a call stating they needed another week to make the delivery. When I tried to cancel the order at this point, they charged $49 + tax for return shipping even though the furniture was never delivered. When I asked them to waive the return shipping fee for furniture that was never delivered, they declined. They stated a refund would be available 7-10 days after the furniture arrived back to them. They could not provide a return tracking number or return shipping estimate. Article would not allow me to leave a review on their website directly because the order was never delivered.
Update: After posting a review on resellerratings.com, Article waived the return shipping fee and offered a $50 credit on future purchases. The customer service representative offered to be a direct contact for future purchases in order to oversee order and shipping timelines. Article communicated that they have refunded the cost of my purchase in full and this should post within 7-10 business days."

"i had a great experience with my recent purchase at article. i purchased 2 ottomans and a side table. after i ordered, i realized one of the ottomans i ordered was incorrect, so i emailed customer service, and they were able to change it right away. my order came in 2 shipments. the first was a small item that came through fedex, and the second was a larger shipment, and they called me to let me to give me a window for delivery. i live on a hill, and they delivery truck wasn't able to make it up, so the delivery guys actually walked my purchase all the way up the hill! talk about customer service.
