"Bought a replacement motherboard for a laptop, price was sketchily cheap, assuming the part is new because it does not even state if it is used or new, but as long as it works for a long time I will be happy, checkout is easy and quick. Will use website again if all goes well"

"Typically I'm a little weary from ordering from seldom heard little guy companies, over years like many, ordering from Newegg, Amazon and elsewhere, but some of the smaller known companies I've ordered from over the years. AscendTech I have seen around on Amazon and other sites, their marketplaces, but never really looked at what they had.
I was in market for a new replacement motherboard, bought a used system from a friend, Full ATX motherboard, but All I have is Micro ATX cases currently, motherboard had some damage to it, questionable if it would work, so rather than shelling out $80-100 on a new case, I opted to keep my current cases (stackable cube cases), and just get a new Micro ATX mobo that will work. AscendTech had a good deal on new in box, white box non retail Gigabyte Z170 chipset SLI capable motherboard, what I need, and for a good price, about $80, so I went with that. This way I save on the dilemma of a new case, and use what I have, also have new mobo that's not damaged, and rule that out as well. Only thing that will be in question is the CPU, as we know the RAM works fine. CPU is an i7 6700K and was showing signs of thermal throttling on my friends end. If I can revive it, great, if not, need to replace. In either case, great deal on new in box OEM packaging motherboard, saves some money and headache.
Some nice deals on other boards as well.
Ordering wasn't any more or less difficult than other sites, shipping options not bad, though Super Saver and UPS Ground, roughly same delivery time, but the former is free shipping, I needed the stuff by this weekend so opted for 3 Day UPS, Still, at roughly $15 +/- not bad on shipping either.
Have to see how the product is once it arrives though. Last time I got a White Box mobo, a few years ago, my current system, from another smaller online seller, wasn't disappointed, paid about same price too (Refurbished Asus Z87 SLI capable Micro ATX). Over the years I've since stopped shopping from Newegg though, and often through Amazon from smaller sellers through Amazon.
*Update 6/6/2018*
I checked shipping on my order, and it seems, this companies ability to provide accurate shipping info is sorely lacking. I ordered with 3 Day UPS Shipping, I get notification in my email about Shipping and it shows up as FedEx Express Saver, I go to AscendTech Website, check my order, and sure enough it was ordered with UPS, I check Shipping tracking via their website, of course THAT lists as USPS Shipping and neither FedEx or UPS... the tracking number listed does not correspond to any USPS shipments, however, using the same tracking listed on FedEx tracking site reveals that indeed the package was shipped via FedEx, and expected to be delivered by Friday evening this week.
Is it really THAT difficult to get the shipping info figured out, if a customer orders and chooses a given courier and rate, they should expect that courier and rate to be used. Not confusing and conflicting info. Why was FedEx simply not listed during the check out process, instead of UPS being shown? And Why does the website after the order show USPS as the method of shipment and tracking number link to USPS website that doesn't work?"
"hunted all over the internet for replacement server MB "
"Shopping for a replacement motherboard has its perils. Matching sockets, DIMM slots, revisions, etc. presents the mix you can too easily mess up when returning a system back to operation - to say nothing of user reviews. Once you settle on a trio of options (mind you, replacement boards are rarely still in production) you go to eBay, maybe. Well, I did and almost acquiesced to buy one of the "working pull" options - but just in case .....
When I found the new board (Google search) at the same selling price but with free shipping and the convenience of PayPal, well, you forsake eBay for the better deal. Betting I can find the same success with this dealer when I next need a PC component! "
