I love Ashley Stewart

"I have been a customer for at least a decade. I have never had a problem. They are always on top of trends. The clothes match the size chart. I even resell when I’m done. So the quality lasts. Are they high end-no. But the prices are not high end prices. No wear near it. Very low costs in my opinion compared to Torrid and Lane Bryant"

Paid $8 to get cheap, see through item, and $8 to return. Total=$16 and no dress

"I just want to say I am only leaving a review because I really really want to warn people from buying from this company. I bought a dress that was originally $69, and got it on sale for $34. When I received the dress it so cheaply made, see through, and scratchy. It was HORRID. Decided to return the dress and called to see what the price of my return would be since I saw something that stated it would be $8 to return. I really did not anticipate returning the item or I definitely would have read this. So I paid $8 for them to ship it to me, which took a week, and paid $8 more to send it back. I paid $16 for a dress I never even wore and never kept. This is a scam! On top of that I called to ask if the $8 to return was the same $8 used to ship and the representative told me yes. So I didn't realize I was going to pay an additional $8. NEVER EVER SHOP HERE...EVER!!"

Horrible

"I placed an order on 07/13/20. I had not recieved the order so on 07/27/20 I called and spoke to a representative who told me I had to call back on the 07/30/20 if I still hadn't recieved the order and a refund would be issued. I waited until 08/04/20 to call back in hopes that I would receive my package but I didn't. Not only did I not receive a refund I was told that the representative gave me incorrect information and that I had to wait 10 more business days for them to investigate. When I asked for a manager I was given to a Sarah who kept telling me to calm down so I said Sarah would you be calm if you felt like you were being given the run arounds and you weren't being given your money. Sarah got quiet and then hung up on me. I will never do business with Ashley stewart again!!!"

What Happened to This Store???

"I purchased from Ashley Stewart for many years. In fact, I always requested their gift card as presents. The store no longer carries quality merchandise. I used to be guaranteed to find several items to purchase each time that I went into the Ashley Stewart stores or web-sites. However, over this past year I have not found on single item to purchase. The dresses are now too tight (especially around the very area that I want to hide...my belly). I used to find outfits for work and church and play but now NOTHING!!! Everything is too tight and too short (including the pants). I feel like my favorite store has turned it's back on the idea of making plus size ladies look ****, yet classy and sophisticated. "

"I usually buy clothes from Ashley Stewart but after this last experience, I haven’t ordered anything since. So I needed a new outfit to wear to court. I saw these really cute pants online so I decided to order them. Got them, although a little too big, I still liked them. The day I had court I put them on. In about 5 mins of being in court, I had someone tell me after I had sat back down that there was a big rip in my new pants. I was so embarrassed. The person that told me waited until I had got out of court and went to work and everything before they told me I was walking around with a rip. I wanted to make a review under these pants online at Ashley so no one else would have to experience this embarrassment but Ashley Stewart doesn’t offer a review section."

"Horrible I will never shop with them again if I had a choice they wouldn't get no stars I order a jumpsuit online didn't like it and sent it back and they tell me its going to take 2wks to see a refund that is just ridiculous and bad business practice and then they have the nerve to take 8.95 out the refund for returning the merchandise for shipping at this rate I think its only a matter of time before they go out of business for good good riddance"

Horrible

"Thieves without a gun is what another reviewer wrote and that is very accurate. They charge you for the shipping, then if you use their shipping label to return their crap, they deduct an additional $8.95 from your order. I am so done with this company. Their jeans are poor quality, the zipper never stays up despite getting the correct size. I don't know how many times I had to use safety pins (which is dangerous) to keep the zipper up. Don't let me get started on their sweaters that pile up after you hand wash or put them on the gentle cycle using Woolite. I have to use a razor each time to remove the fuzzies. Never had a problem with any of Lane Bryant clothing, plus they do not deduct the cost of shipping if you return items to their warehouse. Lane Bryant and Torrid will be getting my coins from now on."

Cheap Quality for a High Price

"I have been shopping at AS for 3 years now, online and in the store. While the designs are okay, the quality is just horrible. The signature butterfly bras are poorly crafted, the underwire will break through the stitching. I even had one bra the hook came off. The pockets of the jeans rip easily. The iconic leggings in dark blue will continue to bleed after more than 20 washes (I've had mine for 2 years and they are still bleeding color). Threads are always hanging from the garments. Buttons pop off easily. I recently purchased a dress purposely brought it a size too big, I pulled it over my head never unbuttoning the dress. By all means it didn't fit tight as my belly is getting larger I needed more room for my growing belly. Anywho I sit down and my dress is has a big gap towards the bottom. I try to snap the button back together and you guessed it the snap was broken. This was my first time wearing the dress. Yes I tried it at home standing up. I was at my event when I saw this. I was so embarrassed. Next thing I buy underwear there a lot also (y'all it was my go to store) when I looked at the stitching around the waistband it was poorly done and ill fitting. I guess I am at my breaking point where I'm finally ready to get out of this bad relationship"

Poor online site

"I have ordered from Ashley Stewart for at least one year without any issues until this year, I have been unable to place any on line orders, even attempting to do do with three different browsers, I get as far as the review order option and I am returned to the same exact page and prompt. Apparently they no longer have CSR as they never answer the phone at anytime of the day or night. This unfortunately is usually an indication of a company's end."

PayPal returns at all cost...

"The short is this company does not offer Free Return Shipping.... REALLY!?!?! It's nearly 2017!

Now the Story...
I ordered online from Ashley Stewart in November. It took a while to receive my products even though I had a coupon for Free shipping. Once I received my products I realized two of them were too big so i needed to return. There is only one Ashley Stewart in my area so I figured I return them there. Normally that would be fine but I paid through my PayPal in an attempt to be more secure with my order. Well the stores DO NOT accept PayPal returns in store. Though the Manager or Lead on duty at my local location was very helpful. She informed me I needed to ship them back at my OWN expense. WHAT!?!?!?! It's nearly 2017 and this company doesn't offer FREE RETURN SHIPPING LABELS. They just loss 1.

Worst purchase ever

"I brought a white dress that looks so nice online which is the Flounce Cold Shoulder Dress. However, this is the cheapest material I have ever seen and is nothing like the false advertisement online. I now have to lose my money I paid for it to be shipped to me and pay for it to be shipped back. I will never make another purchase from this store. Straight garbage. Save your money and aggravation and shop somewhere else."

Thieves Without A Gun

"First time I ordered received in 2 weeks. You can ship retail half the amount and get it anywhere in Americas 1.5 weeks earlier than they do. Second time I ordered had coupon and received pre-worn defective items. Refused to work with me even after sending pictures, reported to BBB and States Attorney General. Girl bugged me to make another order, (INSERT BIG SIGH HERE!) 2 items 4.5 ounces, $9 dollar shipping! Received email with tracking, 2 days have past and still no tracking info. This means that they created invoice just never gave item to UPS yet. And of course expected delivery is 2 weeks. I really get tired of dealing with online sellers such as this. I really get tired of making negative reviews but man, something has to be done. That's extra special that they don't participate as a merchant here should tell you more of their crap mentality. Avoid like the plague #ashleystewartsucks"

"I ordered the Plunge Butterfly bra. It fit well, but after about half an hour of wearing it, the under-wire broke. Because I was being stabbed with the wire and was not somewhere that I could take the bra off and store it, I had no choice but to throw it away. After sever attempts to contact and be refunded for a $50 bra that was worn once for less than an hour, I was told unless I could send back the bra, there was nothing they would do. End of story. The customer service was horrible. Response time was horrible, it took almost a week to be told there was nothing they would do. I will not shop with this company again."
