"Atlas choice good apart from they didnt explain the car rental company was actually based over 1 mile out of the airport iceland, on arrival looked for a desk none to be seen, then eventually spotted a man holding a rental sign no name for us. we were then driven off site no explanation where we were going or for how long ended up in small industrial site to pick up the car. had verbal agrement we could delver 4 hours late then charges a whole day for being late not happy.

On arrival at the local agent's office Drivalia at Alicante I was told to pay an extra €334.08 for an additional driver, full tank of fuel and SCDW (€158.62). Without the latter they would require €1200 on my card authorising in advance for any damage to the vehicle on its return) . Although my objection was noted it was pay it or find alternative hire.
I want a repayment of the €158.62 plus 21% IVA immediately within the next 7 days.
Failure to do so will met with a full compensation claim and all costs through the Small Claims Court and full publicity of this matter in all appropriate consumer watch and rights organisations. "

"Lets separate the car rental from the airport shall we. First the rental, the agent was not friendly nor was she mean. After going through a maze that is the airport and finding the car rental outside of the airport, I then had to take a rental van to the actual car rental location out of the airport. I expected a different car than what I got, a Kia which in the end turned out to be fine.
For the return trip it was a different story, my flight was at 6 am and in addition to having to be there two hours in advance I had to be at the car rental twenty minutes earlier to check the car in. Although the location was open twenty four hours the transport to the airport did not start until 4 am, meaning I had to take a taxi and pay $15 to go 2 miles. Moral of the story, fly into Eugene and forget Portland."

Getting to San Diego and processing my car with Dollar was easy. The lady told me to pick a car from a particular section and as my voucher said I could take a Nissan Altima, which I did. When I checked out at the gate, the lady told me that this was a large Altima and I would be charged extra. Rather than going back, unloading and reloading I accepted the extra charge; I did not have time to to change, as I had a meeting in town. Overall I was happy with the car and even with the extra charge it was not much more than other companies had offered in my search."
