"I had returned my product over 2 weeks ago. It was tracked and they recieved it 10 days ago. They have never used a credit as of yet! How can they sit on this product and not give my $ back. Be careful with this company as they do not care. I did call and was told could take up to 3 weeks although they KNOW they have the product back. Lost my business. "
"Placed 2 orders, returned one item from one order, took forever to get email confirming return and refund. That was 10 days ago, said refund would be in my account in 3-5 days (not business days), but I waited. NO refund. Called today they give me a transaction settlement code and say give it to your bank to "find " refund.
Second order, quality was HORRIBLE, sent it back , was told today, after we INSPECT it we will determine if a refund is necessary. These items were never worn and still have tags.
I will never shop online with Avenue again, especially after reading the online company is not have same."
"My mom loves Avenue so I decided to order 3 items for her birthday. They sent me an email the following day stating that one item was not available anymore. Avenue's customer service gave me a hard time about wanting the same item I ordered in a different color but I did NOT want to pay another shipping fee since I had already paid it the first time. After a long battle with several people, they finally agreed to send me the item without paying shipping however the item will not make it in time for her birthday. Terrible experience. I will not be shopping here again!!!"
"I'm not recommending Avenue online. One of the only ways I can allow myself to shop online is if it's returnable and they wont let you return items on sale. Which is most of them. Bad policy if you ask me. So I was forced to pay to ship the item back to me or donate it to a local charity. I donated the item. very disappointed in the company though. Won't be purchasing from them again. :("
"I ordered several items online, one being a dress that in the picture is flowers on a gray background. What I got was a hideous blue and white striped dress with flowers on it. I called and explained that it was not what is pictured and wanted to return it. They said that I could return it in a store but if I returned by mail they would charge me $9!!!!! I will be returningEVERYTHING, closingmy card with them and will NEVER shop there again. Low quality clothing - you get what you pay for. And crappy customer service. So bad....ALSO, after I received my “we got your order” email, I never got anything to tell me it was shipped - nothing. So so so bad"
"I received a pair of boots from Avenue for Christmas, after about 6-8 wears they wore threw at the heel. When i sent an email i was told they can't do anything for me because they were worn. Ridiculous"
"I ordered two shirts from Avenue.com after going to two locations that did not have them in my size. Two days after ordering I received an email that both items were backordered, with no information about when they would be available. The email had a link for customer service that took me to their website, and when I called it and selected the option for order status all I got was a voice prompt directing me to go back to their website! Frustrated, I filled out the email form asking to just cancel the order. The next day I got a response saying one of the items had already shipped so I could not cancel, and provided another number to call if I wanted to speak to someone. After a few days of not hearing about the other item (and not being able to check the status online?), I finally called to check and was told the 'backorder' was really that they were doing inventory and the item would ship on Monday. Today I received an email saying the order was cancelled because the item was not available.
I had specifically ordered two items because of a BOGO 50% sale, so I replied asking for a different item of the same price. I received a response that because the order was cancelled they could not do that, so sorry. Ugh.
I called them AGAIN, and asked if they could send me the other item for the price I would have paid for the other shirt, since it was the same price and the sale was still going on, and was very rudely informed that they do not price match; I could order the other shirt but I would have to pay full price. Well clearly you don't want my business and you can have this other shirt back. SO glad I didn't waste the money on shipping and had it sent to the store. A store employee told me that the website is run by a completely different company; I will never order from them again."
"I applied at a strore in New York. I never got a confirmation regarding approval (NO mails, NO calls, NO emails). I wasnt sure if my credit score was enough to get approved. Never received Avenue credit card in mail. BUT......but, when i called customer service they already had 2 pending bills to be paid by me. What a warm welcome. **** this **** and **** Avenue. I called customer care, Someone in India received the call, when I tried to talk to manager, they pass the phone back to someone in US. Without having a Credit Crad, my credit score got affected.
Also the company is managed by some unknown banking system - "comenity bank"????"
"This store has high pressure salespeople that insist you open a charge account with them. My Mom opened an account with them, received a bill for 18.74 and paid it in full with a check. She then received a statement saying she only paid 18.00 and had a 19.74 late fee and a 1.00 finance charge. I called her bank and they stated Avenue had submitted for an electronic payment of 18.00. I called Avenue back and spoke with 2 very rude "customer service" representatives that insisted my mother only paid 18.00 even though I told them I was looking at her carbon copy of her check made out for 18.74 and it was their error. I finally spoke with their supervisor, and he finally made the balance 0 and we closed the account. They do this to 100 people that really adds up! Then add the people who will ensue to pay the fee and will rack up more "finance charges" and late fees" monthly which will compound! What a scam!"
