"Worst online experience ever. After confirming order and never receiving product, told on back order. Rep called me rude when I started complaining about service, hung up after I cancelled order. Spoke with manager, blamed bad service on "the union" but never apologized."
"Worst ever customer service people i have talked to ! www.fivestarplasma.com
They are fraud. they donot have any of the items listed and tried talking me into an expensive one. Best of all customer service people hung up on me 3 times ??? Donot ever fall for their low price ads. they donot carry these. "
"Sales people at fivestarplasma.com: bad service, rude manner, cannot answer any questions and hang up the phone on me. I call them to inquire about a panasonic plasma tv, they jerk me around for two hours, hang up the phone on me, put me on hold indefinitely, and I didn't get any anwser at all. Very unprofessional!
forgot to say, www.fivestarplasma.com is one of the websites under bcwnetwork.com, please don't buy from them, you will be glad you have listened to me."
"CROOKS, DECEPTIVE THIEVES. We purchased a Plasma TV and two days we called to confirm shipment as represented by their website. Instead of confirming shipment, we were told the TV was back-ordered and would take weeks to arrive even though their website indicated it was in stock when we ordered it (and it still claimed the same days after we were told it was back ordered). If we hadn't contacted them, we never would have known.
EVEN WORST though, was the fact that I called 3 times after we were told it was not in stock to check on their availability without telling them I already had ordered one and they would swear up and down that they had it in stock. When I told one of the salesmen that my wife had already ordered one and she was told it was not in stock he responded by claiming that she had ordered a "gray market one." I told him that could not be, because the advertising for it did not disclose that, and he responded by saying "did it say it was not? No it didn't, right? Don't assume, ask!" Moreover, they claimed because it was a gray market it did not come with a manufacturer warranty. A clearly illegal and deceptive practice.
SO IN THEIR VIEW BEING DISHONEST ABOUT A LISTING IS NOT WRONG. CAVEAT EMPTOR (buyer beware).
I asked to speak with the manager and was told "take a hike %$@#" I reminded them that they were obligated to sell me a U.S. version of the TV (which carries the manufactuer warranty), and they told me "what are you going to do, sue us? You're in California, go ahead."
I'm going to do better than that, I am filing a complaint with the NY attorney general.
These people were so blatant about their dishonesty and deceptiveness, they don't deserve anybody's business. DON'T BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BE TREATED POORLY AND GET RIPPED OFF."
"I have 4 to 5 years experience buying things on internet.
I never have any problem buying on internet before. This is my Second case March 28. *First case is with Pricemad.com March 21*
I order the Plasma TV Pioneer PDP-4340HD from bcwnetworks.com on March 25.
I used Pricescan.com to search the lowest price, at that time the Plasma TV was $2499.
When I click on bcwnetworks.com the Price is $2699.
Before I placed the order on the internet. I called them to make sure they have it instock and I also ask them after I placed the order on internet when they will ship out. They told me they will ship out in 2 business days.
Then I placed the order immediately on the website Total $2,898. I also called them to verify my order and they said will ship out on Monday March 28.
Monday March 28 I called them again to get the tracking number for my order. They said will ship out on Monday and will send a email to me for the tracking number. BUT I never receive any emails from them.
Tuesday March 29 I called them again to get the tracking number for my order. They said will ship out today and will send a email to me for the tracking number. BUT I never receive any emails from them.
Wednesday March 30, I called them again this time but not talking with the sale department, I choose the customer service. and I asked her what's going on for my order. I told her before I place the order I have already called them to confirm they have the Plasma Instock. She told me the Plasma was backorder and she has no idea why the sales told me it was instock. and give me another ext. number to call them tomorrow, he will know more than her.
Then I called again on Thursday to that ext. That person is yelling at me , he said "Sorry make the mistake the tv was sold out , and cancel the order for me and I am busy and got to go". Then I ask him if it was sold out how come I just call and ask it is still available and tell me to order it. He said is the computer error, the TV is out of stock , WHAT DO YOU WANT !!! I told him I will file to BBB online, your company is lying to the customer because you guys want to get the buyer credit card information. HE SAID YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU LIKE THIS IS AMERICA , YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!!!!
I feel the Pricemad.com and bcwnetworks.com, both of them just steal your credit card info.
AND won't sell anything to you."
"Was going to order from FiveStarPlasma.com until I read the negative reviews. All FiveStarPlasma.com to the affiliated url's used by BCWNetworks.com"
"This has been my worst experience in dealing with a company. I don't think these people want to sell, they are working just to be rude.
I actually sent in an order to purchase a Plasma for 3499, but had to call the next day to confirm the order, at which point the customer service agent was very very rude and was not ready to listen to anything that ask him. Finally he gave me a choice if I want to buy the Plasma for 4200 instead with no questions asked. While I was asking him how he cameup with the price, he cancelled the order hungup on me!!
My suggestion is to avoid this buyer totally, no matter what price they offer, they are bunch of frauds."
"BCWnetworks.com is the biggest SCAM. I've ordered a plasma screen during christmas for the price of $3100, was asked to call back for a confirmation. Their saleperson didnt want to sell the unit to me at the price advertized instead try to sell something else and force me to buy the warranty when i called back. Finally after realizing that they have unsucessful 'bait and switch', they said that the unit is in backorder. After two months, i canceled the order.
BTW, their saleperson was extremely rude. WILL NOT DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THESE CROOKS.
BUYER BEWARE:
www.bcwnetworks.com
www.plasmakings.com
www.pricemad.com
These're the same CROOKS with a differenct URLs.
When you're ordering from these sites, they're the same people.

"BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS SLIME-JOINT!
Called BCWNetworks.com in mid-December to confirm their price for the Panasonic TH-50PHD7UY, 50" plasma. Their salesman confirmed the price was $3999 and they would lower the $249 shipping to $175 if I ordered on that call. I didn't because I did not like their pressure, arrogance, and patronizing attitude! BCWNetworks sales continued to push the sale BUT claimed that I had to order a video card for this plasma TV. The salesman claimed that this plasma would not work without this "required" video card! They quoted a cost for this video card at $299. I told sales I would call back.
I called Panasonic and checked with two different techies and the Western US Sales Manager in Seattle. All told me that I DID NOT need a video card, and that BCWNetworks was blowing smoke. The -Sales Manager also told me that Panasopnic would not honor their warranty if I did not buy the plasma through an authorized Panasonic dealer! I called BCWNetworks in January because their price had dropped to $3699! Their salesman again told me that I required a video card, but that price had jumped to $399 for the same card. I priced-checked on the internet and found the best price I could find was $224! Sales also would not lower the S&H charge this time. I confronted the salesman and told him about my talk with the Panasonic techies. He was very indignant and told me Panasonic techies did not know their own product! Finally, I checked with a local Panasonic dealer, and they told me that their wholesale cost from Panasonic was $4280, and that there was NO WAY BCWNetworks could sell a "new" plasma for $3699! The local dealer also confirmed that Panasonic would not honor the warranty if I did not buy from an authorized Panasonic reseller. They also told me that the prodcut was probably a Category B prodcut, that is, purchased and returned, or remanufatured. Finally, they told me that Panasonic takes legal action against internet "resellers" like BCWNetworks.
BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS SLIME-JOINT!"
"BUYER BEWARE. BAIT AND SWITCH. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD # TO THESE PEOPLE. I did a search on google and found a great price on a Nikon D70 camera. It was so low that I called a friend and we bought 2. I also wanted the mack warranty. On their site it was listed for $139 and $69. I picked the $69. Paid online with 2nd day air $2001.92. I recieved a call the next day. The gentleman told me that I had picked the wrong warranty (I thought I did too so no suprise). He offered the 5yr Mack warranty for $179. Great price again. He asked if I needed compact flash cards. I told him I wanted the sandisk extreme III that has a top speed of 130x that just came out. I could not find them on his site but found them elsewhere for $139 per 1G each. He said he had them for $99 each and throw in 2 camera cases and free shipping. I said great, send it to me and please e-mail a revised invoice. My calculation came to $2355.90 Next day I checked my e-mail. No invoice. I called and was bounced around on hold until I got the same salesman. He said The cameras would ship that day and I would recieve my invoice soon. I did a search and found this site and read their bad reviews. Now worried I called the third day. No invoice and not shipped. Was told will ship that day. Fourth day I called and complained to customer service. I was then told my card was charged $2779.46. $423.56 more than agreed. Item was shipped ups ground and may or may not be camera kits I ordered and compact flash cards are 40x speed, less expensive cards than ordered. Classic bait and switch. I asked for a refund and was told I could refuse the order and wait for a refund or agree to $2400 and he would throw in 2 card readers. I will update when I recieve shipment and let you know if I got the right cameras or not. "
"Almost made the mistake of ordering from these clowns. Should have read this site first! Because I see that they did exactly the same thing to others that they just tried with me. Bait and switch, stripping down...same MO. And when I started asking questions about the "optional" parts, and declined to consider the "Pioneer" plasma with the "much better screen", the guy hung up the phone without a word. I guess time is money, even for crooks. What's up with all of these losers in the NYC buroughs popping up and scamming people. Are the jails so full there that the judges allow this human garbage to continue with these practices? Stay away from BCWnetworks.com and TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND ANYONE WHO DOES INTERNET SHOPPING."
"I ordered a Panasonic TH42-PHD7UY. You have to call to "confirm" your order; they tried to sell me a stand and video inputs for the TV, both of which i said i didn't need, thank you. The customer rep called me an "@$$hole" because I was "rude" and he was "trying to help." He said the TV had no inputs on it. Panasonic only sells it with the inputs, BCW is opening the TV, removing the inputs, and selling them to you seperately (~ $700). This is NOT mentioned anywhere. The rep told me it was, I asked him where, and he said he didn't have the time, told me to find it: its plainly visible on the site. The BEST thing they did was allow me to quickly cancel my order and charged me nothing, which i guess helps keep law enforcement off of this NY scam shop. (I, btw, am from NY and have had many great purchases from some legit NY dealears)"
"I will NEVER purchase from this dealer again!! I ordered a videocam for my son for Christmas, but called to confirm it was in stock and could get it delivered in plenty of time for Christmas. I assumed, since I ordered in late November, there should be no problems getting what I ordered in plenty of time for Christmas, but I wanted to make sure. They said yes, it was in stock and it would be delivered in 3 days after my order. I ordered on or around 11/29/2004, and paid for 3-day shipping. The shipment didn’t arrive until over a week later. And, they delivered the wrong model number. Plus, the invoice was for $20 more than they said the total order (including shipping/handling and all other miscellaneous charges) would be. And, it did not include a 5-pack of video tapes I was promised as a bonus. I called BCW Networks and was told to return the incorrect model and they would immediately ship the right model. I did; they didn't. In fact, when I called for 5 straight days (12/20-24/2004) to get a tracking number for the replacement order, they told me they were sure it had shipped but they couldn't give me the exact ship date or the tracking number because they said their "computer system was down."
Finally, on Dec. 24th, my father called them to find out what was going on. After getting the same runaround I had been getting, he asked to speak to the manager in charge. After some obvious attempts by the person with whom he had been speaking (who said she was the assistant manager) to persuade him to be satisfied with the answers he was getting, he insisted and was, then, permitted to speak with a gentleman who said he was the manager on duty.
The manager told my father the videocam was shipped either the previous Monday (12/20) or Tuesday (12/21) or, perhaps, late the previous week, but since their computer system was being upgraded right then, he could not give me a tracking number. He blamed the failed pre-Christmas delivery on the massive weather related delays UPS had announced. When my father asked what had caused the two week delay in BCW Networks' shipping the correct videocam (since we had returned the wrong model number they had shipped earlier on 12/10, and they received it on 12/13), the manager had no answer. He did say he knew that sometime the previous week (week-ending 12/18) BCW had received a large shipment of the model I had ordered and they had shipped a large quantity out around the 20th. My father asked if the sales clerks I spoke with had lied about the availability of the product when I originally place my order 11/29), as well as when I had called earlier to inquire about what to do with the incorrect model they had shipped (around 12/9), and my replacement order (12/20 and the follwing 4 days), and the manager's response was that they don’t usually take the time to check, they just say it is in stock, since it usually is. The manager said, since the delay in my shipment was due to the weather and UPS had announced that they would be working around the clock to get all shipments completed by 12/27, if they were scheduled for pre-Christmas delivery, he could guarantee the videocam would be delivered by Monday, 12/27/2004. He did agree to send me a 256 MB memory card and some extra tapes for the videocam, to help compensate for the delay.
Today is Monday, 12/27/2004. On the BCW Networks web page, I can now see the status of my order. It says it was shipped at 12:59:00 PM EST, on 12/24/2004. This is approximately the same time my father was talking with the manager. And, although the manager said he could guarantee the videocam would be delivered on Monday, that doesn’t seem possible. The order was shipped “UPS 3-Day", for delivery on 12/30!! And the UPS tracking system indicates it is on time for scheduled deliver on the 30th.
So, the manager and all the other BCW Networks employees we spoke with, who told us the videocam was in stock, had shipped or would ship in time for me to receive it before Christmas, apparently lied about the order, their inventory and when the videocam was actually shipped.
I will update this review after I receive the correct videocam and accessories, and have made every attempt to get proper adjustments for the shipping costs (I paid $30.18) for the first 3-day delivery that took over a week to get), the $20 over charge and satisfactory compensation for all the trouble I have had to go through to get the videocam for my son, who was very disappointed because instead of taking video of our Christmas celebration, all he could do was stare at a lifeless picture of a camera he hopes to receive, someday."
"I tried to order over the phone from this reseller. On my first call, I reached "just the office" and found no one there could answer questions about a plasma TV. They transfered me to "sales". The speaking with "sales" I asked several questions such as "how old is this company" and was transferred back to "the office".
No one took my order."
