"I ordered a $25 replacement part from BSW that I needed quickly for the start of a project. The quality of the received part was as expected, and the BSW order processing service was as good as I had expected.

However, the shipping terms and conditions were simply OUTRAGEOUS. The lowest cost available BSW shipping option found me paying $12.49 for delivery of an 0.85 ounce(!) purchase from Ohio to California! That process took five days; for this EXORBITANT sum I did not even receive “expedited shipping.” And the bungled shipment required the needless squandering of natural resources; this small envelope of parts was shipped in a huge cardboard container with much useless interior packing material.

With just a modicum of intelligence on the part of BSW, the 0.85 ounce small parts envelope could have been put within a standard business letter envelope and shipped across the country by US Mail for $0.50. And I probably would have received the parts in two days rather than five!

Given this blunder, I certainly hope that BSW would improve its future shipping options, especially for small, low-value purchases. I also would hope that BSW will offer me a partial refund of the INCREDIBLE shipping charges in this matter. Without some action on BSW’s part, my future BSW purchases are now doubtful. At this overall cost level, I can easily afford to shop locally.

UPDATE: BSW has caught their error and has provided a refund as requested. They also indicated that BSW will review their shipping policies. All of my qualms about their policy have been satisfied, and I will now continue to buy from BSW.

"bsw is an excellent company! first off, if you cant find what you need from them chances are you forgot to put your glasses on! second, their prices are not only competitive, but a lot of the time cheaper than any where else online. they keep in contact with you through the whole delivery process with emails and if you have a question call em up! and guess what, the phone rings and a real person answers during their business hours. you don't deal with a recording AT ALL! you don't have to press one for customer service or 2 to review your order etc. i will definitely deal with them again and look forward to doing so in the future.....p.s. the candy bars are good too! thank you bsw, kevin"
