"Won an auction Yahoo for a Rebel 2000 from them. It was a Rebel 2000 with a lens, case, and some other accesories for $113! A steal (on their part)! They claimed to not have them in stock when I called the following day to give payment information, as "shipment they received from Canon was defective." I was told this after being put on hold for several minutes (about 10). The did not even offer to send it to me when they did receive them. I was rather disgruntled.
The night of the day I called, I was browsing eBay for the same camera and stumbled upon one. I opened it up. I looked through the description only to find that the images were exactly the same as MY camera. In fact, the whole description was the same, even the address! Only difference, was that bidding was over $200 already. I contacted the BBB the following day. I also posted about them on epinions, here, and in their yahoo account. They were selling about 3 of these kits and the 3 other people who won them on yahoo posted on the "stores" account that they had the same problem as me.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS/SCANDALS/RIP-OFFS!"
"This company is the corporate poster child for mediocrity. I ordered the item on April 9, 2003 and received an order confirmation. I never got an invoice number because I never got the item. I became concerned as the days began to roll by and the Sony MVCCD500 CD Mavica Digital Still Camera, I ordered for my company for 699.99 plus 26.50, bringing the grand total to 726.49 still had not arrived by April 21, 2003 still had not arrived. I e-mailed customer service but got no response. I called customer service and spoke to one representative who after asking me a few questions put me on hold for about six minutes. Amazingly she underwent a gender change because the next thing I knew I was speaking to a young man who immediately asked me for an order number and all of the information I had just provided the young woman. I asked him if the company card had been charged and he said that Barnabeez had received an authorization. He said he was not able to help me further and told me that I had to call yet another number, then he told me to hold on. I was not prepared to hold on for another switch so I called the other number and the young man at that number who could not seem to understand why I was upset finally said that the item was not in stock!. I told him that it was in stock when I ordered it on April 9, 2003 and received my order confirmation. He proceeded to reprimand me for not being calm enough. I asked him to verify if the company card had been charged and he finally said no. I finally just hung up. I was then sent an e-mail to contact them again. I wondered what for, to be subjected to more “lousy” customer service.
SAVE YOURSELF SOME GRIEF AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

"I purchased a supposedly "new" Olympus digital camera. It arrived without a memory card. Numerous calls to customer service were unsuccessful - I was put on hold indefinitely and hung up on. Additionally, one customer service person refused to give me their address. I finally obtained a memory card on my own and then discovered the camera did not work. There was no warranty info included with the camera. I checked the serial number with Olympus and the camera is not new. I have returned the camera and am still waiting for a refund. "
"I ordered an item from them that was listed as "in stock". The next day I got 2 e-mails, one an order confirmation and the second a request to call someone at a number given in the e-mail. I called the number several times, getting a busy signal. On the 4th try I got someone who said that the person I was trying to call would not be in until after noon. After noon, I tried several times yo get the number, but only got busy signals. I set my dialer to call every 10 minutes. After 3 hrs. I finally got thru to the party. It turned out he was trying to sell an extended warranty. At the time he said "We are shipping 5 or more of these items every day, and you really need the warranty". I declined. It is now 1/09/03 and I still do not have the item. I was told that they were back ordered and would not be in for another week. I was also told that e-mails informing me of this had been sent. This was not true. I agreed to wait another week to see if they come in. "
"Not sure on exact order date may be off by a day or two. Invoice number is actual order number."
"BEWARE - BEWARE !!!
Barnabees.com selling cameras is a company that are outright crooks. They represented and assured me the Nikon 140 Zoom camera I purchased was new, and then they substituted a Nikon 120 with no explanation or credit in price. The Camera is refurbished, however, they covered up that information with new stickers, and left out any Warranty and the other information that shows that it was refurbished. Before shipping they called me and talked me into upgrading postage to FedEx 2nd Day so I would receive it before Christmas and then they didn't send it that way anyway. I received it two days after Christmas.
They have no support. No one will talk to you if you don't have an order. They put you on dead phone lines for hours as soon as they find out you need their customer care. I called 8 or 9 times all day and was given the same treatment. I never got to talk to anyone about what they are going to do about this.

"I ordered a panasonic 4 in one RED digital/video camera. I got it for my husband for Christmas and sneaked a peek to see if my camera and additional items were in the box while hiding from my husband. I got a SILVER camera, all wires and some paperwork saying the additional items were back ordered.
I did not try it out as it was a gift and figured it was new -- and even though it was the WRONG color I would keep it as sending it back and forth, keeping it a secret and getting it back in time for Christmas would proove to be too difficult.
I wrapped the box and gave it to my husband for Christmas. Well, there were no instructions in the box, no warranty card, no memory card and the software was also missing. The additional items I got were AN INCORRECT Manolta battery which did NOT fit the Panasonic.
We will see how they handle this. I have the President of Panasonic's address at the ready and after reading the reviews on Barnabees-- I admit I am afraid.
I will keep you updated. At this point I do NOT suggest anyone use them. If they give me trouble, I will contact the BBB and have the atty I work for write them a letter. If this is handled gracefully, I will change my opionion of them and suggest a healthy YES to buy from them.
UPDATE: I got off the phone with Customer Service and they were VERY helpful in finding a resolution. Everyone makes mistakes. They were all to happy to help fix them. So, things are looking up. As long as this attitude continues, I will do business with them again."
"this is discovery camera emerging under a new name. they are no better than the were before. "
