"Purchased a GPS accessory from BasicJunk because it was the cheapest price I could find as well as one of the very few retailers which showed the particular accessory as being in stock.
Received immediate electronic order confirmation as well as another confirmation email the next morning which appeared to be sent from a person.
Emails were in some weird text or font. I was required to download some Korean character set from Microsoft in order to view the email. Strange.
Six days later I received an email which stated that the product I ordered was on backorder status. I was invited to respond to the email to check the availability date or to cancel the order. At this point, I began to get a little suspicious.
I responded asking the date of availability and received a prompt response stating that they would have the item within two weeks. Again, I was asked to respond to confirm or cancel the order. I decided to stay with the order and responded thusly.
Next, two days later I got an email asking me for a physical address since they do not ship to PO boxes as I had provided. The email explained the security reasons behind this. Although my own fault, I had some reservations about the order at this point, but decided to stay with it and sent them my physical address.
The next day, (Just three days after they said it would be on backorder for up to two weeks) I got an email stating that the product was in stock and would be shipping within 24 hours.
Three days later I got another email (again in the same weird Korean font) giving my my UPS tracking number. When I checked the tracking number online, I found that the package had been sent several days prior and was already on the delivery truck that day. A few hours later the UPS man delivered the product.
Good communications almost to the point of annoying. Good prices and service, but seemingly quite new and inexperienced in the online retailing world. I'd recommend them, but have some patience.
