"I wanted to warn potential customers about a scam they have going. When I finished my order with them today another offer came up that offered a $10 coupon for your next purchase from a place called Reservations Rewards.
If you read the fine print you are authorizing them to deduct $9 a month from your credit card.
Here is the worst part, they are using the credit card info you just gave in the Batteries.com order! They are giving your credit card info to these guys! I find this dishonest at best and borderline criminal at worst. I'm not doing another bit of business with these guys."
"Credit card #s and addresses collectors??
yeah – good price, great selection.. everything else is missing.. Placed order – web site behaved funky – price changed back and forth after adding coupon and second item to the order. Placed order anyway. Order cancelled after talking to the CSR with a simple Qn about adding another item. Called back a guy said there is no reason to be canceled – it’ll go trough with the same order #. Great!!! Still canceled in the system. Called 3rd.. the maneger was gone for the day – placed the same order again, requested different order number, Janesa placed the order again – this time – different, higher price but the same order #. Ship next day she said.. Order still canceled in the system..
Save your time and nerves – shop elsewhere!!

"Web-site listed a camcorder battery for my camera. Placed order which arrived promptly and in good condition. However, package suggested the battery would not fit my camcorder. I e-mailed batteries.com for authorization and received a response stating they would check and, "respond as quickly as possible." After five days with no response I e-mailed again. No response. Asked for a return authorization, but again no response. Charge was disputed. "
"It's been two weeks and I still haven't seen my order. Talked to CS rep last week, and the rep told me to call back Monday (today 03/13) if it not arrive by then, and they will send out new order. Called to today and the rep (don't know if the same rep) told me to wait a few more days!!! Of course, I wasn't happy with this at all, but at the end of the call the rep told me she will ship out a new order today. Let's hope it is true. Prepare to wait if you order from batteries.com. "
"Battery charger arrived in excellent shape and shipping was fast, nice prices also! Will buy from again!"
"Good store. Order got processed and shipped on the same day; received them via USPS within 10days. Purchased cordless phone batteries."
"My ipod battery doesn't hold a charge very long. I ordered an Energizer ER-i50 external ipod battery for my ski trip from batteries.com via USPS. The battery showed up within 3 days and it helped my vacation to be much more enjoyable.
Online ordering was very easy and online shipping and tracking were readily available.
The price of the battery wasn't great. But with an online coupon, it made the price somewhat competitive."
"Quick delivery! I'm 100 percent satisfied and will shop here again."
"Selection is outstanding. Hard to find batteries for watches, calculators, mp3 players, cameras, video cameras, cell phones, laptop PC's, uninterruptible power supplies, etc. They also have chargers, lithium cells, flashlights, and cell phone accessories. Prices are very competitive with other online vendors.
They are up front about shipping prices, which are very reasonable. Shipping prices based on total order value rather than weight. It is worth getting as many of your batteries replaced at the same time to take advantage of the shipping.
There is a 30-day return on everything, no restocking fee, and 1 year replacement on failed batteries. Very generous! I had a Renata watch battery fail and they were even willing to send a new one right out without requiring me to send it back.
RETURNS
I received the wrong item by accident (theirs), and they were very fast in replacing it postpaid. They offer prepaid returns (for business reply mail) when the return was due to a defect. All service (not just sales) is done toll-free. Wait times were very brief.
I buy lots online and found myself wishing other companies had a Web site as well-designed as this. I could find everything I wanted very quickly through menus or search terms. Most items had photos and good descriptions. Everything I wanted was in stock. An order number and invoice is generated immediately at checkout, for reference, and the online receipt is printable.
An E-mail confirmation is sent when the online order is placed, and another one is sent when the order actually ships! Package tracing number included!
I thought this would be another company that simply capitalized on having a good domain name, like pets.com or furniture.com did. But this company impressed me. Other online battery vendors may have similarly good prices or selection. Batteries.com has these too, but also efficient and honest customer service, and customer-friendly policies that set it above the rest. Next time I need to buy special batteries I know where to go. "
"Good price, quick shipping, good communication, no problems.
I ordered two sealed lead acid batteries over the web. The price was good, shipping was very low and delivery was fast. I received prompt confirmation of both the order and the shipment. The shipping was trackable on the web. The packaging could have been better. The batteries were slightly loose in the box and a layer or two of cardboard between the batteries would have made a better fit. However, the batteries seem to be fine."
"VERY DISREPUTABLE. I ordered an Energizer ER-D140 (Canon NP-E3 replacement) for $69.99-25% online sale discount+$5.50 shipping. Order shipped fast. Arrived fast. First problem: Invoice did not include 25% discount. Second: Battery was defective in that it didn't fit in the camera (quality control issue--maybe 1/16 inch too big to latch down). Called batteries.com and told them what happened. Employee asked me what camcorder I had. I said it was a Canon EOS 1D Mark II. She said "ELS." I said, "No, EOS 1D Mark II." She then said, "You ordered the wrong battery." This is a pure lie in that the NP-E3 is the right battery for all Canon 1D series cameras and the 1D Mark II is specifically listed on the battery package! Overbilling, arguing with customers and lying are not the signs of a reputable business. (Fortunately the maufacturer was more interested in the problem.) Avoid this place.
6/1/05 UPDATE: Still no action from batteries.com.
6/6/05 UPDATE: Ditto. "
"I have yet to receive an order confirmation for this order. It was paid via PayPal and money was successfully transferred but batteries.com is acting like this order never happened. I have written emails to each of the email addresses I have found on their contact page but have yet to receive any type of response.
Never again. I'll be forcing a refund and looking elsewhere.
Update Apr 17, 2005: Still no contact from seller."
"Ordered a Lithium Ion Camcorder Battery Charger on 9/28/04 and received it on 9/30/04. Invoice email was quick as well as shipping. Great place to buy from. WDBA!
The quality of the product is excellent compared to what I was using before."
"Ordered a CR2025 coin cell battery on Sunday, April 25, 2004. After waiting for a few days with no update on the status, I emailed customer support. I received a reply that work was being performed to the order system. It said that my order must have somehow gotten lost in the system, but would ship by the end of the day. My battery arrived a few days later via USPS."
"I ordered 2 batteries to replace the ones on my Quantum Bantam battery packs and not only were they cheaper than anywhere else I looked but shipping time was right on the money. Great service"
