"The other reviews on this site are right on! Do not order from this site. They will charge your card immediately and you will not be able to contact them. I had my card company remove the charge and they are disputing it.

"Add me to the long list of victims of this criminal. I ordered a classic car battery from "Dud" on 20 Sep 2009. He charged my acct immediately. After 2 weeks I asked for status, since there were no purchaes showing on my account online. His response - "battery is in production and will ship in < 2 weeks". Not knowing better, I waited 3 weeks, and then asked kindly where my battery was. A week later I ran a Google search and found this page. I emailed him again warning that I would submit this review and file a claim with the BBB if I did not get a battery or refund. I got neither! I've just submitted my dispute to my credit card company, and filed the claim with the Nebraska BBB, to join the other 50+ complaints. FWIW his BBB rating is "F" and he is not accredited. Will, no Duh!! I hope others see this before going through this mess."

"This company is one of the worst online fraud schemes still going. I ordered two Optima 6V Willard batteries for my vintage WWII jeeps. I never recieved either the batteries nor a refund. Despite multiple efforts to get the owner ( David or Dudley depending upon the day you speak to him) to produce either the batteries or my money. I even had Bank of America get involved and he BS'd them too! He took me for over $650. DO NOT DEAL with this business unless you want to be disappointed."

"Worst internet company I have ever delt with!! Unprofessional and will tell you anything to get you off of the phone! Placed an order for 1 Battery at $200.99, credit card charged same day. Week later status read still pending, called them after around two weeks, they said it would be shipped that day or the next. Around a week after that I was told that it was on back order. Also I e-mailed their customer service with no response! One month and a day after the order I telephoned and told them just to cancel the order and I would like a refund, they said 7-10 business days. Now in September no refund!! Telephoned my bank reported the injustice, letting them handle it from here. Be where and do your research like I should have. Also if you telephone their business and they answer with a “Hello” and no company name or who you are speaking with…yeah you got the right number."

"Just want you to check out the types of emails that come from this company. Stay away unless you are a glutton for punishment.

This is the first one after I had emailed for some kind of communication

And then this one came last. Can you imagine blocking a customers address so I can't ask questions anymore. What an incredible jerk.

"This outfit really sucks. They only answer the phone about half the time, and hang up on you if you ask too many questions. After 3 months, they couldn't deliver an Optima battery and finally I was able to get them to cancel the order. Order from them at your own risk."

"Placed an order on 12/3/08 Credit Card was charged never received my product. After numerous calls one of which I was hung up on and several emails with which I was told that my order was going to ship and that it had shipped. NEVER GOT IT! I wish there was a way to get these thieves off the web! I see it has happened to many people! "

"Ordered a generator battery 11/22/08. My credit card account was charged that same day but after numerous attempts to contact company with no success I recieved an email 12/22/08 that they were "sorry for the delay-it was on temporary backorder"and that it was shipped on 12/18/08 and that the new status was : delivered! Well that never happened. I was never given a UPS tracking number so they have no proof that it was ever shipped in the first place. I am in the process of contacting the NE attorney general about there business practices and the NE BBB of which I found out after the fact that a number of similar complaints have been filed.I have called and left messages on ansering machines, faxed inquiries and emailed questions about this order ,but have recieved no responses. "

"I ordered my battery on 6/19, a thursday. I gave them over a week before calling the first time to check on my "pending" order and was told it had shipped at the end of the week last week and I would be receiving a tracking number in my e-mail that evening and the site would update. Neither of which happened. I called back after about another week and was told it had just shipped "yesterday" and given same story about tracking number forthcoming. I sent an e-mail to them after that without response and left a voicemail 7/9 mid-day so plenty of time for a return call.
Finally, 7/10 now, I call them this morning and the man tells me it shipped yesterday again and same run around. I tell him, I've been told this 3 times now and no tracking information ever shows up. He put me on hold for a few minutes... to come back and tell me AGAIN that it would update on the website later today. I asked why he couldn't just give me the information over the phone and he kept saying the same line "The tracking number will update on the website later today." I asked for a refund and HE HUNG UP ON ME. I promptly called my card to have them dispute the charge.

"Three troll kits were ordered and credit card was charged for $1,214.97 on 5/19/2008. An additional troll kit was ordered and on 5/27/2008 my credit card was charged for $404.99. In both cases the merchandise was shown to be in stock on their web site. Email has been unsuccessful in getting any answers. Usually the people handling the batteries are not in the store, so telephone messages can be taken by "The Parts Store". Today is Tuesday July 2nd, and I left a message to cancel the orders. I am putting the credit card charges into dispute.

I have received nothing but promises and lies for a month, and have even been told the batteries have been shipped and promised shipping documents, which were never forthcoming. In my estimation, based upon their lack of communication and fraudulent evasion: this is a fraudulent operation. In all my years of buying merchandise on the web, I have never come across any online merchant so fraudulent.

"HIGHLY DISSATISFIED !!
Ordered 2 batteries on 24.3.08 that didnt ship
until 31.3.08 and likewise I was charged immediately. I have repeatedly asked for a tracking number and not only NOT received one but did receive plenty of attitude as if I was disturbing this mans day. I WILL NEVER DO BUISINESS WITH THEM AGAIN !!!! Only if people could be diverted to this post prior to arriving at that website.
I still have yet to receive my batteries.

"I ordered a Automotive Jump Starter on line on 12/9/07. The site claimed to have 99 units in stock. My credit card was charged immediately on 12/9. After an inquiry was made on 12/24, the web site was updated to reflect a reship on 12/24 due to bad weather. Finally, after another inquiry, a ship date of 1/2/08 with a tracking number was posted. the unit finally arrived on January 10, 2008. They had my money for almost a month before they shipped the product. Not Fair! "

"I was very concerned about the extremely disorganized website and the terrible feedback I saw here, but I also knew that this place had a hell of a deal on a battery I needed, PLUS there was free shipping on it. I assumed that they must be trying to eliminate excess stock and therefore would have a strong interest in shipping it quickly. So I took a chance, half expecting the whole process to take weeks with numerous phone calls to their support people.

Ordering was a real pain. Their order process is just as disorganized and confusing as their website. On top of this, they kept pushing me to use PayPal. I have NEVER seen anything like this before! After selecting the item to order and picking the method of payment, they would put up messages like "You have Paypal account, why not use it?" Now, how did they know that? This made me so uncomfortable that I almost cancelled the order process right there. Later on, they would say "next time use PayPal, because it has these advantages...". And after I had placed the order using my credit card instead of PayPal, I actually got an email from PayPal indicating that I had paid with my PayPal account!! Quite alarmed, I immediately logged into my PayPal acount and was relieved to see that there was, in fact, no recent activity. But BatteriesAreUs seems to be so in bed with PayPal that they assume all payments will go through them. Just weird.

So the order hassles combined with the feedback from previous customers left me quite wary. I did NOT receive any ship notice or tracking number. The battery DID arrive on the 9th day following the order; the tracking number on the box told me that the battery had been shipped within 3 days of the order. So its hard to complain - I mean, a 69 pound battery shipped for free in a little over a week? Not bad, really!

I had orderd the GC1 battery which had a better price (and free shipping) compared to the equivalent GC2. They wanted to get rid of the old model, right? But they shipped me the GC2!

"Ordered a tar topper battery cover in March. After several phone calls I received an e-mail on 4-30-07 that it had shipped priority mail. No tracking numbers given when asked for. Here it is 5-22-07 and still no product but they have long since charged it to my card account.

I would strongly advise NOT doing business with this outfit. I do not feel that they operate in good faith. I have rarely seen such rotten customer service!
