Replaced my old battery which had a charge of 3.7 (I don't know how because my screen indicated charging was needed [but wouldn't hold a charge, therefore purchased one]). My Kindle reset and started with 90% battery indicated. If nothing else, I was educated on how to open the Kindle, got a set of tools and maybe I have your battery as backup for later? Go figure?
