"I had not used Batterycentury previously but when I was looking for a battery for my 10 year old HP tablet the cost was significantly lower from Batterycentury than all other online providers. To be honest initially I thought the price was incorrect but I was extremely happy when I confirmed it and submitted my order. I received confirmation of payment receipt and a follow up advising that the order had been shipped along with package tracking details. "I would have given 5 stars had it not been for two issues.
I ordered a laptop screen for a ProBook 4540. The cost was $89.00 and 3 to 5 day shipping was $33.00. Issue one was that I was sent an email stating that shipping would be 10 to 16 days.
When I emailed for a clarification the only information I was given was a tracking number and that the shipper was EMS (China express mail). I had no idea that it was shipping from China. To my amazement, it arrived 5 business days later. The screen was very well packaged and was am OEM A+ LG screen. Issue number two, was it was gloss rather than a mat screen. After discussing this with my customer, he agree two use the gloss screen. Personally I believe the screen actually looked better than the original. I would order from this company again, but I would make sure that I add comments clarifying the type of screen I was ordering. I think it was a simply miss pick. The last two characters for the part number were correct on the invoice, but the characters on the screen did not match. (R1 and D1). This merchant could benefit from better communication and customer service. "

About a month ago i'had a problem with my mini laptop and i needed a component to replace in the laptop. I research on the internet and i found Battery century website, wich have a lot of components do laptop's etc. I founded the component that i want and i contact the staff from battery century to provide me that the component they had is the correct one! In the next day i had my aswer, very quick and i order the cable!
in a space of 1, 2 days the sended me the cable and i received 10 days after the order!

"These guys are bad news search "zhang yancai" he's the one on the paypal account.

I ordered a Fujitsu laptop screen, I waited for 4 weeks to get the wrong part. When trying to return it, Cathy insisted I send it standard US mail (non traceable into China) I went through PayPal and they informed me I would have to ship it with traceability to their door step. After weeks and wasted time the item got back to them only to have “Cathy” whoever that is, insist I owed another $30.00 dollars in taxes. PayPal judged in my favor w/o paying the tax, which was very cool. The laptop screen was $156.00 USD it cost me another $116.00 USD to ship it back via DHL. In doing my own searches I found similar bad transaction testimonials with zhang yancai as the search, he has or still does operate other websites posing as American based . This guys a sham, thanks to PayPal I recovered some of my losses however my customer still sits without a laptop.
AGAIN They'll send the wrong part then claim it will work - when you goto return it, if you don't send it registered (which they insist you do) it will magically get lost in the mail. This business is out of China and parts come out of Hong Kong so expect long delays and very expensive return shipping costs as they won’t pay for return shipping…
Bad news all the way around!! Check for other sites like it, he "zhang yancai" runs several."

"This company hides behind a name that appears to be located in California. Then they ship from the other side of the world. In my case, Hong Kong. I am going to reverse the charges on my credit card and if they want the part if and when I get it, they will need to send me a prepaid return label.
I needed the part no later than 10 days. Not 2 or 3 weeks later.
I sent an email and told them to cancel the order. Friday I get a reply that it was shipped that day. Oh, and the phonen number with the California area code, no one answers it.
If you are a company not located in the US, you need to specify that or you are operating fraudulently in my opinion. "

"Batterycentury.com purposely shipped the wrong part and then gave me the runaround.

I ordered a laptop CPU fan and received the wrong part. The fan I received was smaller, had a shorter cable, different mounting requirements, and couldn't be installed because the size and shape was different.

I informed them of this problem, and they asked that I send pictures of the fan I received and one of the correct fan. After complying with their request, batterycentury.com responded that that the fan should be installed in the heatsink, even though it was made clear it was impossible for the fan to fit into the heatsink. I didn't hear from them again.

Battercentury doesn't have a phone number, mailing address, or an email address posted on their website. The only way to contact them is to use the live support chat and ask the operator for batterycentury's email address - which happens to be a gmail address. Also the webmail form on their web site doesn't work. The live support feature is useless and is just there to create the impression that batterycentury.com is a legitimate business.

Batterycentury.com is a ripoff. Consider yourself warned."
