"I ordered the Sony ZV-1 Vloggers Bundle from this company through Amazon. The shipment arrived through FedEx. I opened the shipment and found the camera was missing or not shipped. I immediately contacted Beach Camera to report the issue. They filed a claim with FedEx. I've had to contact the company every few days for an update. 10 days after delivery, Beach Camera is now asking for a police report? Really, 10 days after I initially contacted them. The customer service and claims department at Beach Camera are NO help at all. They are giving me the run around! Thank goodness, we purchased this through Amazon... They are now involved and trying to get this addressed. After reading a lot of reviews, this isn't an isolated issue with this company! There are a lot of reviews about missing items from shipments. "ADDING to three issues in the original review:
On top of all the other issues below, the Canon Battery was defective, and the off brand bait-and-switch ef-R adapter was in a damaged box that was badly scuffed and had clearly already been opened.
I requested an RMA. The rep (Dee) issued one, saying it would come as two separate e-mails, one with the RMA number. That was immediate. The other she claimed, would come in at most a few hours and would contain the shipping label to honor their posted "free return" "promise." This, unsurprisingly when you read the rest of my review, NEVER CAME. I e-mailed them Thursday and again Friday morning, knowing they close for Shabbat as many retailers on the east coast do. Of course, they did not respond to either.
This is far and away the most awful, disgusting, infuriating, and wretched experience I have had shopping on line in 24 years. And it gets worse from interaction to interaction.
ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW
The three major issues with this order, what in my opinion are shady if not out and out bait-and-switch tactics used in this sale are these:
1) The kit I ordered was photographed with a CANON-BRANDED EF adapter, and nowhere in the text of the purchase page or any of the subsequent follow-up purchase confirmation pages did it indicate that an off-brand 3rd party adapter was actually going to be in the kit. Absolute garbage since most of the items photoshopped into the composite image they provided were accurate to what's listed as having shipped.
2) The item was promised with free 2-day shipping. When I contacted customer service the day the item was supposed to have ARRIVED at my house based on the point of sale estimate, I learned that the item was back-ordered, yet contrary to their stated policy they had charged me anyway. Most disgusting was that I had to initiate the contact or likely would never have found out what was going on. Which brings me to...
3) With the merchants with whom I'll be continuing to do business, it is standard industry practice to update web-databases of stock in near-real-time; for instance, if an item was back-ordered this info would be indicated on the product detail page and shipping estimates would be modified accordingly or removed altogether. I checked, and every single day since I placed the order, through all Beach Cameras sales portals I know about Beach had listed the item as available and ready to ship continuously.
I make decisions for a school district and a CTE program, and will not be doing business with Beach Camera ever again."
"NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER BUY FROM THEM! I will admit, when I first received my bundle package, I was amazed at everything that came with it, but I quickly realized that the batteries and charger or defective. I immediately reached out to customer support (not much support) about this issue because obviously if the charger won’t charge the batteries then the camera won’t work. Customer service said that they were going to send me a replacement battery and charger with expedited shipping. After two days and no replacement battery or charger, I called customer service and a gentleman on the phone told me that they sent it out the next day with regular shipping for delivery date of 7 days later! I was completely flabbergasted because I was lied to. I have not been able to use my camera since I received it which has been 2 weeks now. The gentleman on the phone was nice, and told me that he would expedite the shipping on the charger and the battery. I received a phone call today from that same gentleman and he told me that he couldn’t expedite the shipping and that the best he can do is offer me a $20 credit if I find the charger and battery at a different store. A $20 credit on $50 batteries and $40 chargers?!?!?! This whole process has been UNACCEPTABLE. I am returning all of the items and I’m going to receive a full refund. So beware if you still buy from them, they might just repackage and send you my defective junk. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau because this is not the way business should be handled and they are lying to people constantly. Do not buy from them EVER!!"

"Originally ordered from them on the Thanks-giving weekend with a tight delivery window due to travel plans. Unfortunately Fedex messed up and we did not receive it on time. So the products went back to them, and we got a full refund. Fast forward to today, we are back in the country, I call Ray in sales and explain my situation and tell him I want the same product, but unfortunately the prices have increased. So he gives me the same deal, minus an added discount for my troubles. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and VERY HAPPY.

When I opened up the UV filter, the one I needed right away, there was a problem with it. I contacted beach Camera right away. Yanill Tejada Got back to me & sent a replacement filter out ASAP. "On Black Friday I found a good deal on the camera I was looking for on Beach Camera. After purchasing I went back to working from my home office, gave it no thought, but my bank didn't recognize the vendor, sent me a notice which I didn't see, and then they cancelled the charge. So I lost my Black Friday deal I thought, but when I reordered a week later even though the prices had changed I received the same deal, and very good service to go along with that! I will look for opportunities to use Beach Camera again and recommend to my friends!"
