"I purchased a pair of shoes for my grandson and then left out of town. My daughter contacted me to tell that the sales associate left the security device on the shoe. She called and explained that the shoes were a gift and that I was out of town and didn't know where the receipt was. I understand that the sales associate is following protocol and needs receipt but she could have showed some empathy for the situation. She had to place her on hold and ask several people if they could remove the device w/o a receipt. She could have explained other ways to look up purchase (email/phone lookup) instead of being un-knowledgeable and rude. My family dug through our trash can and finally found the receipt. We will take the shoes to get the device removed that should have been removed at the time of purchase. This shows that the associates are poorly trained if they miss a huge security device on the outside of a child's shoe."
