"I really love this store, I wish the prices where a little less, but I usually get some kind of discount and the fact that the clothing I get is a better quality then I get at the store that I can better afford makes a difference. I find myself dressing a little better and trying things that I normally would just pass by. That is the reason I was so very disappointed when I saw a pair of boots that would have been perfect for me, as they looked great not to dressy, not plain, great sale price. Just enough of a heal. When I got them in the mail however, I actually cried. I was so excited about getting them and then found that they would not even go on. I am a plus size women, but my calf's ar not large, The size I ordered was correct and these were large calf boots. I took them to the store and the sales person and I searched all of the styles there and there was only one style you had that was wide enough, I did not like them at all, they were (I thought) a little costume ish? we even tried 9.5 and 10's, as Even your size 9's which is what I wear are very tight. I have one other pair of sandals and a pair of short cowboy boots that I purchased and they are also a bit too tight, but I have had to go back to return things so much that I have just kept them. I will just wear them for short periods of time, although I have not yet wore them. This has been the only disappointment I have had with Bealls and I will continue to be a customer, I just know I can not buy some things at all and then some I can only buy in store."

"At the checkout, I liked the recorded message directing shoppers to the next available checkout station. I did notlike the recorded message in Spanish. I am Hispanic, by the way and I have nothing against Spanish (which I speak) but I believe we need a common single language in the United States. Hearing a Spanish translation saysthat I, and other Hispanics, are not capable of English.I resent this and do not want to shop at Beall's because of this. HEB grocery stores in Texas used to echo everystore announcement in Spanish, but the practice has thankfully ended."
