"I have ordered from Bealls for a long time. Their service use to be great when they were Burkes however since they became Bealls, customer service ****. Hard to get through, ordering on internet is easy, but I dont always get confirmation on an order. I never know which order is coming if I have mutiple orders coming in. I use to track my orders exactly. Now its terrible, and customer service is no help. Quality on clothes is getting worse and prices are going up and up. I received an order I did not even order and now I even have an additional charge on my Bealls for something i did not order. And I did not get a packing slip from the warehouse. So I have to prove I was overcharged with out merchandise and a packing slip???"
"I ordered white sandals but received taupe. Box is clearly marked taupe. I emailed pictures per customer service request. Stated pictures did not go through and requested it be put in pdf form. Granddaughter did that for me. Bealls replied that pictures were not recieved. Inexpensive sandal, not worth the frustration. I will never order from them again! Lesson learned! Check the reviews!"

"Overall as a company I don’t like your polices and marketing schemes. I don’t know anyone in the age range of 18-35 that even shops at your stores. I know its mostly the older crowd, and I don’t see your company lasting another 50 years. I NEVER shop here but unfortunately my mother bought me a lot of my Christmas presents from Bealls. I did not like or would not use 90% of it, so with the tags still attached, I looked to return the items from the store. Your customer service manager was able to find my mother’s receipt, so I thought I would be able to return the items and receive credit back to my card or cash. Boy was I wrong. Even thought I had PROOF of purchase, she still said she would only be able to turn the credit to a “Merchandise credit” card. Thinking I had no other choice, even though I told her I do NOT like shopping at this store, I accepted. Little did I know, nor did she inform me, that this card could only be used in store and NOT on their website Bealls.com! How stupid is that!!! I had went home and spent hours on their site trying to find anything that I would like, to put in all in my cart and during my check out process found out I couldn’t use the Merchandise card she issued me. I was LIVID. And of course, the sales online are better then the ones in store. Which makes no sense. So I took my list of things I wanted to buy online and went back to the store because I read I could put in an order in the store. The ONLY good part of this whole experience was the gentlemen who helped me when I drove all the way back to the store. I had over 10 items I wanted to buy, and he took his time with me and even double checked (more then once!) to make sure all the items and sizes were right. He was fantastic. He was very patient with me and took the bad taste out of my mouth with the last experience I had at the store. His name was David, and his great customer service is the only right thing I think you guys have going for you. Even one the items I ordered, a white purse, shipped to my house and had a huge dent in the front of it from poor packaging, I’m so over Bealls I just kept it because I don’t even wanna deal with that company anymore. I still don’t plan to shop with Bealls ever again, and I wouldn’t recommend Bealls to anyone I know. I even told my mother, who is a huge shopper there, to stop giving her business to Bealls. "

"They list things on sale that are never even delivered to the stores. The send you coupons but when you go to use them EVERY ITEM is excluded from the coupon and of course they don't tell you that until you have already wasted your time going there and shopping to find what you want only to find out a checkout that your coupon is not good on ANY of your items. Over and over this happens. Total dishonest BAIT & SWITCH"
"I've been shopping at Bealls for a long, time, and I'm pretty good at knowing what I can use coupons on, and what I can't. I know they have all sorts of restrictions, but usually everything is easy to figure out. A few months ago, they rang up a purchase, and before I could see that I couldn't receive a discount on a certain item, my mom ran her credit card through. After all was said and done and returned, they pretty much got to keep my coupon and I paid regular price. Last Sunday I took my mom to use her $10 coupon, and while I was there I saw a really cute pink Halston dress that was only $20. I thought my daughter would love it, but since she wasn't with me I asked the checkout girl if it could be returned if it didn't fit. She said "Oh sure. You can return anything as long as you keep the receipt." So, I bought the dress. It was a terribly cut dress, and it didn't fit either of my girls. I went to return it today, and I was told that since it was a "Final Sale" I was stuck with it. I always look around for information like that but I didn't see anything. I heard 2 of the ladies say at least 3 times, "It says it right there, no returns." They seemed to think that they needed to repeat it over and over. Like I'm an idiot. The manager said "There's nothing I can do about it. I don't even have an override code." Then she gave me the receipt and walked off. People keep wondering why brick and mortar store keep closing, and this is why. Amazon will let you return everything. I won't be returning to any Bealls stores."
"Ordered the outfits online a week before birthday! I’ve done this many times with amazon and never had any problems! Half the order made it two days late the other half evidentially made it to our town and had to be rerouted to granddaughters town and never made it! The sizes of the outfits ran small so today our granddaughter went to one of your stores to get a larger size but was told they could not exchange without me there!!! What!?!? They were purchased online and mailed directly for a reason!!! Well you just lost two families shopping at bealls.com and bealls. Our granddaughter had to travel three towns over to get bigger size and left empty handed. "
"Bealls department store via online purchase of a NAVY t-shirt. Sent me a coral orangy ugly t-shirt instead. I called customer service and was told that they sent me the wrong item on purpose because they didn't have the navy tshirt in stock. Unbelievable! If I wanted that ugly tshirt, I would have bought it instead. They were hoping that I would keep it and not do a return. Not only will I return the tshirt BUT THEY LOST ME AS A FUTURE CUSTOMER. "

"I ordered sconces and they were pictured in a gold metal. When I received the item the metal was almost black. The packaging was the worst I've seen. 1 piece of tape, the box was half open. luckily it wasn't broken. They also don't post reviews. its funny, nothing they sell has reviews. I wrote one and they refused to post. Anyway, don't buy from Bealls you will regret it."
"I’ve been a Bealls/Commenity Credit Card holder for three years and unexpectedly WITH NO reason(no late payments etc) They drastically reduced my credit limit I called and asked for it to be reinstated and was told they cannot do that. I shop there weekly and keep my balance paid off. This is unfair and not how you are to treat customers especially customers who have a long standing and excellent relationship with your company."

"Paid online - followed their directions - even with operator, check never entered into my bank for payment, never notified me only attached $25.00 fee on next billing. Went into store, they have NO customer personnel to assist. Paid my bill in cash and said I would have to go through call center to contest $25.00 fee. Did this, thought was taken care of but now have received another bill for not only the $25.00 fee, but additional charge for not paying the $25.00 fee. Account has been cancelled and the COMENITY BANK system is just a circus. They have a script and you have no way of protesting any fees. Bealls is obviously owned by this Comenity Bank concern and CUSTOMER has no ability to contact any Bealls corporate anywhere. Sad that this company which has hundreds of stores, doesn't care enough about their customers with no phone contact number for their corporate offices. (Obviously which appears they don't have!) It's the worst place to shop and has no customer service either by phone or in person. Ripoff by their accounty "bank", seems to be way to high jack their customers pocketbooks. DON'T USE YOUR BEALLS CREDIT CARD, OR FOR THAT MATTER, "STOP" SHOPPING AT BEALLS - ANYWHERE. TOTAL DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE."
