"I ordered a camera online 9/24 and the next day called the customer service was closed. I reached them after three days and they told item was shipped. I was expecting until 10/3 email to customer support and email back 10/4 the item tracking number. I checked Fedex for this number was not available that means still in warehouse. I finally got my camera 10/5 from Fedex ground. How good the customer service it was? The Fedex only held over a night for ground shipping. It's really far from New York to Boston took for 11 days. I really don't understand they did processing for 8 business days and a day shipping.

"You can tell by reading the reviews that this place is TROUBLE. Too bad I read them after placing my order.

The site lists an item in-stock, but never ships it after the purchase is made. Once you are finally able to cancel the order (which was very difficult to do), they insist you have been refunded, but you never receive your payement back. I am currently working through the Paypal claims process and disputing the charge with my credit card company.

"When I placed my order the BestPrices.com website said they had five copies of my item in stock. Ten minutes later, in my order confirmation email, the product had been changed to "back ordered." I emailed their customer service department and they told me it would be a 2-3 week wait until my item shipped. I cancelled my order."

"I placed this order on May 18th 2005. I ordered 4 guitar books. I got only 2 but I was charged for 4. After many weeks and phone calls they issued only a partial refund. 2 weeks later while checking my bank statements, I noticed they had now charged more money to my account and for no reason! I called them and they didn´t know why this had happened. A month later, they did it again. More money was charged to my account. Today it´s July 27th and they still have not fixed this problem. They keep on stealing money from my account. I will have to close the account and open a new one."

"This is the second time I have ordered from this company and probably the last time ever. Both times, they lied on their website and said all items from my order were on stock at the time of my order, which would imply that I would only get charged $1.99 once for the per shipment fee plus $.99 for each item in my order.

When you get an email confirmation from the site after you place your order, there is no note or indication whatsoever that any of the items are on back-order. However, the shipping fee is automatically adjusted to a higher rate (plus $1.99 or more depending on the total number of shipments for the order) which implies that they already know at the time of the order that not all of the items were in stock, but of course, they don't mention this at all in the email.

If you don't pay attention to the shipping fee, you wouldn't even notice that they cheated you until they mail the first shipment and say that the rest of the order has been delayed.

The first time they did this to me, I cancelled the remaining part of my order and bought it somewhere else, because 1) they were going to charge me another $1.99 for the per shipment fee even though it was their fault the item was not in stock and 2) they didn't even know when the new stock was coming in. Overall, however, I was satisfied with the part of my order that did ship even though it would've been cheaper from another store because of the ridiculous shipping fee.

On my second order, not only was one of the items back-ordered (therefore increasing my total payment an additional $1.99 again), but the item that was shipped to me in the first part of the order was packaged in this lousy, thin envelope that arrived to me in such a crappy state.

I called them back, and luckily, they had given me a return shipping label for the item for free so I wouldn't have to pay for my another shipping fee again, and they said that they were going to refund my money for the item because the box (for a limited DVD box set) got dented because of their lousy packaging.

Unfortunately, I don't get the $1.99+.99 shipping fee for that item back. And, I am still waiting for news on the other DVD box set that I ordered. I hope I don't have to cancel that part of my order again.

And I hope BestPrices runs out of business for trying to cheat with their shipping prices.

People, don't be fooled by their low prices! It's only low because they earn it back with their ridiculous shipping practices and cheap packaging.

Go to DeepDiscountDVD.com or DVDSoon.com or even Amazon.com. They're prices might be slightly higher, but at least they don't try to rip you off.

"Worst store and service on the Net.

I'll just post the FAX I sent them so you can know the whole story:

I'm extremely upset because I haven't received my order yet.My order was placed 2/21/05 and shipped Feb.22. The last time I knew something about my order was that it left Florida Feb. 24. Today we're March 22nd. Where is my order?

I've e-mailed you lots of times and there has been no real response. The only times you replied about the status of my order was to tell me "The item was shipped on the 21st. Thank you. Holly Martin." ; this was March 14. Then I replied asking again for my order and you replied: "I do apologize. It seems that these items are late. Holly Martin".; March 15.

...Yesterday I got a new response: "I am very sorry it has taken us to get back with you reguarding this matter. All my computer is showing that it was sent out from the Jacksonville FL Post Office on Febuary the 24th. You can also check the status online at www.usps.com and enter the tracking number .Please advise if you have still not recived your package.Thank you, Katie Dalton" This is a response to an e-mail I sent on May 18; not only this wasn't helpful at all (this information I already knew since Feb.24th, but I also got the same response on the e-mail I got on March 14).

I called you and left you a message on March 21st and you were closed for the day but I left a message.

I want you to send me my order as soon as this same Tuesday using UPS Next Night Delivery; free of charge of course. It is not my fault that the order got lost and that I have tried and tried and tried to get some customer service assitance and nothing. I was already charged $34 for my order, so I want it... and I want it now. Also I'd like to know if you're willing to make up for this delay and customer service in some way like a nice gift certificate or something. I very well think it's the least you can do after: having waited more than a month for my order, having sent 5 e-mails answered between large periods of time and with almost no real information, a phone call and this FAX.

"Ordered by phone on 12/14/04 so that I could verify the item was in stock since it was a Xmas present. The girl on the phone had a hard time finding the audio book I ordered and I finally had to give her the url for the webpage I was looking at. She verified the audio book was in stock and said it would be shipped right out so I'd have it in time for Xmas. On Mon. 12/20/04 I talked with Shawn via their online support website. He told me the item hadn't been shipped but that he'd get it right out. I told him the only way I'd have it in time for Xmas was if they overnighted it and I wasn't willing to pay the price for that. He told me that they only shipped UPS and that UPS had informed them they couldn't guarantee any overnight deliveries that close to Xmas. I couldn't believe what he was saying! I've never heard of UPS backing down from a delivery deadline and the item I ordered the next day from Amazon was shipped overnight UPS and arrived in time for Xmas. So much for the liars at bestprices.com, I cancelled my order. Maybe they should change their name to bestLIARS.com! Needless to say I won't do business with them in the future!"

"Was charged for my ordered the day after, never received the order or any contact. After three weeks I use the helpdesk chat. Was told that the Holidays cause shipping delays ... IN OCTOBER!!!! They gave me a bad tracking #, then the correct one. Only status on it (even 2 mo later) is that the item left the warehouse. After 7 weeks, I fax a refund request (4 Dec). No word from them at all. No refund. 8 Dec, I email asking status, no response. 13 Dec I email, asking status, no reponse. 16 Dec I use the online chat and get told the payment was refunded 13 Dec. However, no credit on my card yet, as verified exactly at that time. Then they say it takes four days to post a credit.

Even though I gave my email and phone number during every correcspondence, I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. I had to initiate all contact. The only thing they ever did, it seems, is charge me $60.

I will never deal with them, and will tell everyone I know to stay away.

"I ordered some XBOX accesories from this site recently. Shortly after placing the order, I was emailed a note saying one of the items was out of stock, and its shipment would be delayed one to two weeks. The site itself made no mention of this. I appealed to customer support, asking them to ship me an equivalent product in the item's place. They denied my request, and offered no other recourse. After unwillingly waiting about SIX weeks, I receieved another email saying the product is no longer being carried, and my order for that item (the other things I ordered did not cause a problem) had been canceled. I had another conversation with customer service, and they again refused to do anything about the incident in a somewhat rude manner. I am very unhappy with the time I wasted waiting for that order, and will not be buying from BestPrices again.

If they have your order in stock (of which there will be no indication) I would reccomend them, however.

"Ordered 3 DVDs..each shipped one at a time but within the week..had received all three in eight days..i liked how they continuously update you as to the status of your order until everything has been shipped..DVDs in perfect condition, which is more important to me than turn around time so i am very satisfied with them and would definately consider odering again in the future."
