"Customer service at Best Buy is only equal to that received in Hell maybe worse! I would strongly recommend that everyone Black Ball. I think they sell junk and they don't give a rat's ass if you ever come back. They don't honor their Performance Service Plans's (PSP) and their Geek Squad should be the SqueakSquad cause they don't know diddley. I've spent over $12k with that $#@&%ing company and they'd rather loose my business than honor a PSP.. Go Figure. They say Bad Customer Service Starts at the Top!! That is the Truth Here... ie. Mr. Anderson, CEO is the worst I've seen.."
"I purchased online on December 25th, 2005 a Wireless router at $99.99 before mail in rebate. Until today (November 11th, 2005)I still didn't receive my mail in rebate. I sent in an email to ****@**** they said i have to phone in or contact us by email at ****@**** (which is the same email i sent my complaint to?!). But when phoned, they denied my rebate because i didn't send a mail in rebate form. I should mention that it was no where indicated neither on my order confirmation emails nor on the website bestbuy.ca to do so. They made me stay on the phone for over 20 mn and passed me to talk to 3 people but with no real help.
I had to hang up and give up on my rebate."
"HUM... Best Buy. I walked into my local store yesterday just after lunch to purchase an office desk my wife wanted. They claimed they were out of stock however the store 15 miles down the road had them. I opted to forego the trip as I was in a rush. Not needing the desk right away, I knew I could order it online and pick it up next week at the same store that was out of stock. I got home that afternoon, placed my order, and within 30 minutes received an email stating my order was ready for pick up. HUM...Best Buy. I called the store to confirm it was there. The rep said "Yep, I was the one who received the online order and I know it is here." I proceeded to ask if they $#!+ one in the hour or so I was gone. Needless to say apparently online orders are handle better than walk-in customers. Not a big surprise to me."
"They sent out coupon invited customers to shop in their stores with the $20 off any hard drive coupon. When I went there, they said the coupon is a fake, and they would not honor it even the system accepted the coupon. Waste my time and efford to come and shop there. Bad company to deal with when you need something for cheap. Beware people."
"Don't expect your product to be available for pick up at a store when you order from bestbuy.com. I ordered a computer to pick up at a particular store. When I went to pick it up during my lunch break, I was told the computer was not there. I got sent to another store 45 minutes away. Went to other store and found out that my internet order was invalid for that store even though the computer was there. "The system" would need 45 minutes to make the transfer. So much for my lunch break and using the internet to keep from "running around". I'll take my business elsewhere."
"No problems here - got what I wanted in perfect condition, when I was expecting it!!"
"WORST STORE IN THE WORLD. They do not honor their coupons and are belligerent on the phone to the point of meanness. I spoke with Michael at corporate about a product that was advertised, but turned out to not meet their profit margins and was informed that they only have to honor coupons that they want. They are not obligated to the terms since it was their coupon. Michael has no last name or badge number or even supervisor so I must assume he is the OWNER of Best Buy. "
"There customer service policy is a joke. they had an pre ordered a deal video game Battle field. pre order and you get a free pc headset. first off the free pc head set cost an extra $10.50 then they never sent the pc headset and now are refuseing to do any thing about it!!!!"
"BestBuy.com mistakenly advertsed the SanDisk Cruzer 1GB flash drive with 3 valid rebates over the July 4th weekend. I placed an order on 7/5 for this product and entered my credit card as payment. I have an order receipt that I printed out from the website showing my order, order number, credit card payment and 3 valid rebates of $27, $27 and $23. I went to pick up the order later that same day, at which point the store personnel rang it up as an in-store purchase. I had no idea at this time that would invalidate the rebate forms I printed out online. I placed this order as an online purchase and submitted payment as such. At no time did I ever request or intend to convert it to an in-store purchase, that was done by your Customer Service teenagers. A customer service supervisor, that the rebates will not be honored. I spoke with Dave, the NorthEast Mall store manager in Hurst, TX, and he said after much debate that I could bring in my entire purchase for a full refund which I will do tomorrow night."
"Smooth as glass. Been looking for the Bose sounddock for awhile, nobody anywhere had it on sale. Saw a 10% off sale at Bestbuy, ordered it online in the morning, got an email less than a hour later saying it was ready for pickup. Picked it up on my lunch hour, took it home, works fine. Hard to find Bose products on sale anywhere, but Best Buy had it."
"I bought an open box item with 30%off coupon. I went back after I noticed discount wasn't subtracted from lowest price listed on receipt but from a higher one. I was told to ignore the $40 lower price number, that I was getting a good deal already, that I should be happy enough.
All this time "B.T."the manager wanna be was very confrontational and rude.I was persistent but never abusive, just pointing out what was printed on the receipt. I am returning the product tomorrow, no matter how good the deal was."
"I just ordered Battlefield 2 and it was released on June 22. I still havent recived it sinice i tryed to cancel my order saying that its on its way. There shipping is so much crap. Never going to by from this place again"
"worstbuy ever. 1st order cancel for 1 gig memory placed 2 order, was given $20 code then used it for order another item again not in stop so i am unable to retrieve the code back call CSR ask how can i get code back "NO YOU CAN'T" and it wasn't even my fault! WORST BUY!"
"I purchased an item on 5\30 from BestBuy.com for $122.99. A week and a half later it was advertised at $116.99. I called their support line and was given the shaft by their support rep who claimed it was on sale when I bought it. However the item was marked each time with an instant rebate, not a mail-in rebate. I asked to speak with their manager and was unable due to heavy call volume. So I then proceeded to file an online support ticket and within 5 minutes my account was credited with the difference. I applaud their online support for knowing what true "customer centricity" is and how to keep a customer. Their phone support was just lousy."
"This is in regards to Best Buy Partsearch for a part I ordered on 14-FEB-05. After finding out that the part was backordered with no availability date, I cancelled the order on 2/18. Five days later a (wrong) part arrived. I called and got an RMA number and returned the (wrong) part on 2/25. After one month, I called requesting status on the RMA and they told me that the part had arrived, but it takes 60 to 90 days to issue a refund. I called at 60 days looking for a status, and they told me 90 days. I emailed at 90 days, and I got a return email stating that they had no record of the part coming back, and requested that I give them a tracing number. I did that two weeks ago, and haven't heard from then since. With shipping, the charge to my Discover card was about $190.00. In some cases, Best Buy Partsearch is the only place to get specific components (like, for VPR Matrix computers), but if you can avoid them in any way... you should. I just emailed them again. If I don't like the response I get this time, I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Where I purchased with a credit card, maybe I have recourse there too..."
