"I purchased a 46" tv, blue ray and wireless connection. Was told by salesman they would hook everything up for me. I paid top dollar believing the price difference from a lower priced amazon was worth it for the delivery and set up. They arrived took the tv out of the box and plugged it in the wall and asked if they should take the box away with them. I asked what about the wireless and blue ray DVD set up. There response was that was not there job and not included. I was furious !! I don't know how to set all that stuff up. I explain
I did not know how to do that and there response was all you do is plug it in and turn it on and left. They were rude and conceding. I would have gladly paid more for decent customer service. I now know what a HDMI cable is and I did figure it all out but I will never use or go to Best Buy again. In all my years I have never had such rude and lazy service. I will stick with local merchants and Amazon. "

First: It took seven days for order fulfillment. 7 days to generate a shipping label and stick the label on a box! Yes, DFW had a snow storm but seven days, really................
Second: Cowboom emailed a discount coupon for my next $50+ purchase due to the storm. This offer can be described as weak at best. How about upgrading the shipping to offset the unacceptable delay????
Third: My DCC-1200 was delivered by UPS (2/11/2011 @13:09). This item is REFURBISHED with a 90 day warranty. The Cowboom web page and my invoice both listed the DCC-1200 as NEW with a three year Warranty. Additionally, the GOLD TONE Filter was not included, the lip of the carafe is BROKEN, the hinge for the top lid is BROKEN and a rubber foot is missing from the bottom of the unit.
Please excuse my poor use of the English language but WTF!
This one transaction includes Internet Fraud, False Advertising and Incompetence. Cowboom/BBY/Dealtree have many problems which are becoming common knowledge. Whether you review Ebay Feedback or Google search results for Cowboom, the evidence is there for everyone to see.
In the pre-Internet days a single complaint letter was said to represent 1,000 customers. Today it is estimated to represent 10,000 dissatisfied customers.
I will be adding my voice to all the other dissatisfied people. Including the appropriate Federal agencies concerned with Internet Fraud and False Advertising. Oh and each analyst covering BBY will hear my story. "
"Purchased refurbished computer online. Did ship to store. Got it, it was broken. The computer would turn on, but not do anything for minutes...then it would start to load, and at some point between loading and getting into windows the screen would go blank. The inside of the unit was dusty and I noticed a few marks here and there.
I contacted BB customer service to see if they could expedite the shipping of the replacement computer. This ordeal took me a week and a half to resolve. The store said they could not do any expedited shipping, courtesy or elsewise (not to mention the manager I spoke with was clearly not in the mood to be helpful). I interacted with about 7 different customer service associates via email and phone during that time, and almost every single interaction yielded a different reply "we can't do that; you have to talk to the store; return to store for refund; must return to manufacturer; etc."
They would not allow me to escalate, claiming the managers were busy and would call me back, which they never did. The customer service email is generic, and you cannot directly email anyone you have dealt with before; even you if put ATTN SO AND SO someone else will reply, which invariably means no one ends up actually helping you.
I kept RE-explaining my situation, and how I use the computer for my job and I was losing money every day, but that did not help. After I asked if I could get a discount due to their losing me money, I WAS sent a digital coupon. But in the end, they took to long to help and the item I wanted was sold out, so they could not send me a replacement.
Terrible customer service. This company is a robot, some things work fine and fast (like getting an email sent to me a minute after I returned the item, saying it was returned), but if you need any sort of actual interaction or assistance, you are screwed.
I will NEVER shop with this company again, and will make sure that as many others as I can share this story with, wont either."
"We went to Best Buy recently and looked at TVs. We decided to buy a Samsung 3D 63" tv that came with a 3D bundle including 3D Blu-Ray player and Shrek pack that includes all the Shrek movies in 3D plus 2 pairs of 3D glasses. We ended up buying an open box TV. It was delivered and the screen was shattered. They found another, delivered it, and the screen was shattered again. Third time is a charm and the TV is in perfect condition.
I have to say, that while this experience was frustrating, everyone at Best Buy was very pleasant, helpful and willing to make this work. When we then learned that our receiver wouldn't support 3D, we went in to upgrade our Dennon and they matched an online price for us and set up the install.
Despite the hassle of having 2 broken TVs delivered to our house, the team at Best Buy in Issaquah Wa really came through an took care of us!"

"Purchased for a business, will never do business with them again, bought a microwave for our breakroom, it was damaged and went back to the store with it, next one was damaged, so was the next, and the next. Manager was called and instead of saying we are sorry he proceeded to tell me that that was the last box i would be able to open after i purchased it. Gave me a speech about having to return all of the those opened boxes to the manuf. I was flabergasted. Final box #5 was damaged as well. Guess what! "I bought refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave/oven wall oven combo. Was concerned when they never confirmed delivery. But they call the day before and give a window. Ended up OK ... They hooked up refrigerator and water line for icemaker. It leaked and ruined large section of wood floor. We didn't notice for several days as leak was slow and floor absorbed the water. Anyway. Called, they could not have been nicer! Apologized, arranged a repair person and transferred me to their insurance group to submit a claim for floor damage. Too easy I thought. But they followed up, sent an adjuster, asked me to get an estimate and send it in. I did, in 3 days they called, accepted the estimate over $2000. In less than 5 days I had a check. AMAZING. They have my business for quite a while. "
"I've had a terrible experience with Best Buy. I purchased an HP laptop that has been plagued with problems, one of which is cord failure. I have burned through two cords since purchasing the unit 14 months ago. I returned to the store where the Geek Squad ordered a new cord (covered under warranty); I watched her reorder the cord as I stood there. She assured me I'd have the new cord in a week. Eight days later I called Customer Service to inquire on the status of my new cord. I was given a runaround until I demanded a supervisor. The supervisor notified me that the item was on backorder and wouldn't be available for at least two MORE weeks. I write for a living, so my laptop is my main source of income. Being without it for more than three weeks is unacceptable. I complained that 1) Best Buy should carry cords in the store itself, especially when they burn out so easily, 2) the in-store Geek Squad should have notified me of the backorder when they ordered the cord in the first place, and 3) the confirmation email--sent three days later--should have notified me of the backorder. At least then I could have made other arrangements for temporary replacement cord. Customer Service recommended I purchase a universal cord package ($80) and use that until my new cord arrives; then return the universal for a refund. Fully expecting a hassle when I attempt to return the item, I asked the Customer Service person to arrange for my purchase of the universal and to waive the restock fee when I return it. Thinking ahead, I also got the name of the store manager I'll be dealing with, figuring there will be problems in the store. In fairness, the Customer Service guy, Benjamin, handled the problem as well as he could, but the fact that I even had to call Customer Service to find out that my cord would be seriously delayed indicates that Best Buy doesn't care about its customers. BTW, their prices are often higher than competitors. My son saw identical computer games at Best Buy and Target. Best Buy's cost TWICE what Target's did."

"Unbelievable!!! this probably IS part my fault for not gong there my self. I sent a friend with a piece of paper in bold letters stating what I needed DVI-I 24 pin MALE TO VGA FEMALE ADAPTER for $12.99. With the instructions just ask an associate and show them this note, if they don't know what this is they should not be working in the computer department. What I received was a dvi 9pin male and a vga male,6ft cable for $24.99 I could not believe it. Called Best Buy in Shakopee, Mn. they said they did not sell the adapter.Waited a couple minutes called back again spoke to someone else, they magically had this adapter in stock and would put one aside. I needed just this one adapter now for a customer. Over priced and probably not even trained for this department. Last time I will shop there."

"Bestbuy is horrible, the worst experience I have ever had especially the geek squad. I took a laptop in that was having hard drive issues and was told it was my mother board and it would cost over $700 to fix and I just bought a new hard drive and the problem was solved for under $100. They tried to sell me a new laptop, and that is theor main goal to sell not to fix. As professionals they should honor the value of truth and not lie to the customer. I work in I.T. and didn't have the time to fix it myself that is why I took it to them in the first place. I will never recomend them ever again and also microcenter in rockville sells the same things and more for way cheaper, its like a geek super store. Myself and everyone I know will never shop at bestbuy again."
