"I purchased a samsung netbook via http://Bestbuy.com on 12/19/2010 in order to pick it up in Best Buy emeryville store the same day (which the system was showing that it's in stock) When I went there to pick it up my netbook. The lady that I talked to told me that they do not have it in stock. When I insisted that I needed today in order to give to my brother as a gift the gentelmen next to her came to her and told her (whispering) that he already sold (my) netbook to a walk in customer and when I heard it and told her that they have no right to sell my netbook to someone else, she told me that till I pick up the product it is not mine and she told that their service procedure is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASE (looks like Best Buy does not care about FIRST PURCHASE FIRST GET idea) This is the first time that is happening to me. By the way in order try to talk with the manager of that store, I called the store at 9:30 pm on sunday 12/19/2010 and after half an hour I am still waiting to talk with someone on the phone. If there is anyone who can help me (and I am sure I am not the only one) please stop them selling their products online because they do not have any respect to online customers. By the way I am still waiting to talk someone (anyone) from Best Buy store in Emeryville california and it is almost 45 minutes. "

"I bought a 50" plasma TV and a beautiful stand from BestBuy recently; had them delivered, set them up, and was very much enjoying them. Then, I received a call that BestBuy needed my model number, as they thought they might have delivered the wrong TV. Well, as it turned out, they had, and the one they delivered had more features (so, more expensive). Someone was probably in huge trouble, but this has nothing to do with me, as a customer. Without any apology whatsoever, they immediately wanted to set up a date to exchange the TVs, but I had used my last day of vacation to stay home the first time. They were willing to come out on a Sunday, but it's the holidays...visitors are coming...and I have a million other things to do besides sit around and wait on their delivery; not to mention the fact that I'll have to go back through the whole setup process again. It's just a major inconvienence, and none of it was my fault. A sincere apology and would have gone a long way. But nothing... That's probably what infuriates me the most! Many friends, relatives, and coworkers are looking at TVs right now too, and they are all staying far away from BestBuy."

"I have recently ordered a pair of frontload LG washer and dryer from bestbuy.com with the great discount they offered for cyber monday. A week later, I received an email confirming the delivery time for the washer. I immediately called bestbuy.com customer service about the status of the dryer. I was told that the dryer will be scheduled to be delivered together with the washer. In the next few days, I continued to receive status updates about the washer, but NOT the dryer. I again contacted the bestbuy.com customer service, they told me both appliances are now in the warehouse awaiting to be delivered and gave me the warehouse contact #. I called the warehouse, and they told me they only have the washer, the dryer is not available in the warehouse. They also said that this particular model is discontinued, no longer provided by the vendor. I called the customer service again and told the customer service rep what I was told by the warehouse. So the rep did some research in the bestbuy.com system, reassured me the appliance is available in the warehouse. I asked the rep to call the warehouse directly. The rep put me on hold for a while and then told me she has contacted the warehouse and the dryer is there. Finally, today is scheduled for delivery, and I have only received the washer, not the dryer. Got the call from the warehouse again confirming there is no dryer available. Once again, I contacted bestbuy.com customer service, complained the issue. Now they finally admitted they don’t have any more of this dryer model, and said they will find a compatible model to replace it. Why are they wasting so much of my time? Why can't they take a thorough check in their inventory when the first time I called them about this issue? It took them almost 2 wks to find out they don’t have this item in their inventory. What a joke... Now they still can't resolve this issue for me, cuz their web is down... This is the worst online shopping experience I ever had. Never going to shop at their website ever again!!!"

"Worst experience ever. Order placed on Saturday, Dec. 11 with overnight shipping. I expected it by Tuesday, or Wednesday at the very latest. No follow-up e-mails, calls, or tracking info by Wednesday. Calls to customer service led me in circles (I got to hear "How may I direct your call" 4 times in one phone call!). I got lots of vague excuses about credit being the problem, despite the purchase being made on a BestBuy credit card with plenty of available credit. Also, there was a charge on my card for the amopunt of the order. Then I was told that they can send the info to the credit department, but can't speak directly to them. I called again the next day, and was told that they didn't know what was happening with my problem, but could send it to the credit people again. When I finished the call, I called HSBC, the bank that handles BBs credit cards. They were more helpful, and tried to initiate a conference call with BB, which was disconnected after the first 5 seconds. Two calls and two more case ID numbers later, I was told that the best thing to do was cancel the order and place it again, because the credit people wouldn't even get to my case for 5-7 days. I did just that, but it required a call to HSBC to be sure that my card was credited so I could reorder. After ordering again, with overnight delivery, the order status page said that the delivery date was 5 days away. I decided to try Amazon.com, which had the identical item for $200 less. Once I received shipping confirmation, I called BB to cancel my order. I was told that I couldn't cancel my order, despite the fact that it hadn't shipped yet. I will have to waste more of my time by bringing it back to a store, or more of my money by sending it back.

The short version is this: Don't buy at BestBuy.com if you want your product in the near future, and if there is a problem with your order, good luck getting help. Try another online retailer. My MacBook from Amazon arrived today, less than 24 hours after placing the order. I should have ordered a new pair of scissors to cut up my BestBuy credit card, because I will never shop there again.

"This is the worst ordering experience I have ever experienced. It started with ordering a couple of items to be picked up at a local store location after seeing that the items were available. Confusing emails followed which stated that the items were available to be picked up and then saying they weren't. I canceled the order and then reordered the same items to have them delivered to my home with the shipping to be free. Almost three weeks later one of the items has yet to be delivered, emails have been ignored, and now the online status shows that they are charging me for shipping and handling. Checking the store's online forum shows that my experience is not unique. Will I get the item I ordered? Who knows? Best Buy doesn't even know. Lesson learned: Low price is not worth the frustration. I will never order anything from this company again. Imagine the worst customer service you have ever received at any store and I bet that Best Buy will beat that experience."

"I ordered a SLR Camera package from Bestbuy.com on Black Friday. The order wasn't processed until December 5. It was 12/13 and I hadn't received the item. Called customer service and waited 45 minutes to be told that the item was very popular and that I should wait another few days and call back so they could open an inquiry that would take up to 5 business days...I asked for the inquiry to be opened immediately and received an email at 7:30 pm tonight that my items had been reshipped by standard delivery.
I called again, waited another 45 minutes to be told that my items were never shipped...but the order could not be changed and thery couldn't tell me when I could expect shipment...and that a supervisor would call me within the next 3-5 business days. LONG STORY SHORT....BESTBUY.COM IS NOT A GOOD ONLINE MERCHANT IF YOU EXPECT TO RECEIVE YOUR ITEMS IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY HAVE LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!

"I have never been so rudely treated. I ordered a BluRay player with the iPhone app, for instore pick up. The order was in some strange status, where they couldn't fill it, or cancel it. I bought and paid for, in person, a unit off the shelf. I tried on my phone, at that time, to cancel. I couldn't. I tried on my my computer when I got home. Again, no luck. I called their 888 number- what a mistake. I spoke with a guy who hung up when I was mildly indignant that he couldn't cancel the order (that somehow appears to be shipping to my house, eventhough I set it for pickup.) So, I call back, and speak with a manager. I tell them if it ships to my house, I will consider it a fraudulant charge, since I didn't order it for delivery, and if they can't cancel it, I will consider it a free gift. He proceeds to hang up on my again. WORSE COSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"cancelled my order by saying cannot verify details.. called customer support immediately twice with 30 min first time where she disconnected and 45 mins 2nd time (with over an hr with the wait time) no help provided to get the same price for the product that i placed the order for. All i get is an apology.

I lost some decent deals due to this order and they compensate me with noting.

"BEST BUY? What a Joke
Where should i start 1 went online to find the best deal for a 55 inch TV saw them on google merchant and they had the best deal went to the store in Frisco Tx just to find out that they would not honor the deal. I will never buy from these crooks again. Do youself a test go to google mechant (Google Shopping) and type in any Tv and then call them and let them know if you can get it for the price they have on the inet and I will bet you they will come up with some bad story why they can't and beside that you can look up hdmi cables from there and then look up the same cables on amazon and you will find its a 1/3 of the price.

"Despite requesting specific delivery on 8th December for my daughters Birthday the next day, the delivery failed to arrive as requested. The blame was put on inclement weather, when the roads were fine from Saturday 4th December. Despite taking a day off work to await delivery, the promised goods did not arrive, no communication from Best Buy or their carrier! service is lamentable! Do not trust this company!!"

"Bye Bye... Best Buy... You are the WORST BUY!!! Totally screwed up...

This is what I've started calling you guys since my recent experience of online order of the TV placed on Nov 20th and still not yet delivered.

The order was originally promised for Nov 26th. On Nov 25th after repeated calls and a worst response and my entire Black Friday was screwed up I was told some issue with order and now it will be delivered Nov 30th.

We had a hard conflict on Nov 30th and we requested for an early morning delivery but that could not be accomadated and my order was moved to Dec 10th delivery.

I took a day off Dec 10th to stay at home and in morning I received a call that the TV cannot be delivered.

Moreover, I have to spend huge amount of hours waiting on the phone with promises made the supervisor will call but no one calls ever.

This has been the worst ever experience of my life with online shopping with Worst Buy. I have paid for the TV and not getting it for free.

Who will pay back all the frustration I have gone through, countless number of hours wasted with Worst Buy over the phone, stayed at home twice taking off from work for the delivery.

Interestingly... TV is still not delivered... and no one knows when it will be... All the excitement of this being a gift is gone after waiting for more than 3 weeks now.

Worst Buy... After this experience... Bye Bye...

"I recently purchased a pair of Polk TSI200, for 299.99. When I talked to the sales representative, we agreed on the financing plan. But when I called Best Buy and HSBC they told me that there was no plan added to my purchase! Now I have to dig up some more money to pay it this off when my next statement arrives!

"Ordered my Samsung LN46C670 on Wednesday the 24th and like others have said my selected shipping day (Dec 4th) came and went. I actually called customer support on the 26th because my status stayed as "not available" and the lady I spoke with told me that it would be delivered on the 4th and I should hear from the delivery company in the next 48 hours... no call.

I called customer support again on Dec 1st to inquire again about the order since it was still in the "not available" status... the gentleman was very helpful and assured me it would be delivered on the 4th but that if I didn't hear from the delivery company by end of day on Friday to call back... which I did. This time I talked to another lady who tried to track the order for me but after an hour told me she was re-dispatching the delivery and I would hear from the delivery company in 24 hours but there was no way it would be delivered on the 4th... guess what no call after 24 hours.

Called corporate again and was directed to the local best buy... called them and they tell me there is no inventory and it is backordered... yet I can still buy it and have it delivered on the website. How can you continue to offer a product but not have any in stock... the owner of the local store even offered me another tv since he had zero for delivery or in any of his warehouses... he could not explain to me why I could order one right now and have it delivered for pickup at their store???

Another call to corporate ended with me getting a new confirmation of delivery on 12/14. So today I decided to call the local best buy again since I work with an ex-best buy employee who has given me the name of a manager to talk to... so he looks on his computer at the store for my order, locates it and then tells me I can forget the 12/14 date, nicely that is, because... the delivery of that particular item is caught up in customs since it ships directly from Samsung and it will take at least 2 weeks in his guesstimation to get the item. At least he was honest... first person yet to tell me straight up the TV is not coming for at least 2 weeks.

Called corporate again for the heck of it to find out why the local best buy manager says there is 0% chance I will get my TV... figured I will be a massive squeaky wheel. Well the rep was completely baffled why he would say that and kept telling me she was on the website and the TV was available for delivery on the 14th (my delivery date)... I told her I realized that as I explained it to the local manager and he said it didn't matter what the site said there were none available on the 14th. Corporate and local have no idea what is going on... corporate says things are available solely on the fact that the website says it is and the local managers check SKU# and know it is backordered... what a giant cluster! Best Buy you are the worst type of business... taking orders for items you do not have in stock and then holding peoples money hostage during the Christmas season... NEVER AGAIN! Here's to hoping you end up like Circuit City!
