"I ordered a product in stock on Thanksgiving which was the 25th. I get an e-mail from BB that it shipped on the 30th. Today is December 6th. I call their customer service line to help me track it because when I tried tracking it, I get sent back to the same page after I enter the tracking number. I'm on hold for an hour. No frikkin' exaggerating here. My phone has a timer....a FRIKKIN' hour. I fell asleep and was woken up by the CSR asking Hello?
The hour wait was irritating but what made it worse was after he tried looking for it, he suggested I call my local post office. WTF?!?! Are you frikkin' serious? ME call for a package your company sent? He then said well, UPS picked it up and they handed it off to the post office. Once the post office has it, there's no way we know where it is. Seriously? This is your answer? There's no way to find out where it is? He then said if I don't get it by the 10th, they'll send me another one. WTF?!?!?! I needed it by tomorrow and now I have to wait? If I know where the package is then I can make arrangements for someone to pick it up in front of my house or at the post office if they keep it there because I was not home.
What kind of system do these people have where they can't track a package. How do you even offer a service without having answers to problems that can happen? Eff BestBuy.com. I should have read this web site before I ordered. Total waste of time.

"It took this company EIGHT, yes EIGHT days to SHIP my item!! I was supposed to get it anywhere from 12/2-12/7. Today is the 4th, and a Saturday. I doubt I'll get it by the 7th! "Best Buy's warranty and return policy has to be the worse for any retailer I've ever dealt with. I recently bought a Gateway laptop, and the DVD failed after 60 days. Best Buy would not 1) fix it, 2) exchange it, or 3) refund my money. My only recourse was to have them (the Geek Squad) sent it back to Gateway for repair. And it's still sitting at the store waiting to be shipped. They said it would take 14 days, but one of the Geek Squad members hinted at closer to SIX weeks! If you need the equipment, you're out of luck.
Best Buy's return policy, as printed on the back of your sale receipt, is: 14 days for computers, monitors, projectors, camcorders, digital cameras, and radar detectors. And to return the product during those 14-days, there is a 15% "re-stocking charge"! Even if it's defective, doesn't operate as advertised, etc, you're out 15%.
And after 14 days, you own it, NO MATTER WHAT! Even Walmart, Target, and other major chains have no-hassle returns for defective items, or items you wish to upgrade, such as an HDTV.
This is ABSOLUTELY the last time I will EVER buy an electronic item at Best Buy."
"I made the mistake of dealing with Best buy again after swearing never again. I bought a computer package on Thanksgiving morning BF Deal. The price was very good. Unfortuneatly the service is not, everything shipped on Thanksgiving morning except the monitor, which still has not shipped a week later. I have the PC package now but with no monitor. I have called 5 times, emailed, joined their support webpage forum. All to no avail. No one at their inept company can tell me why the monitor is here and has not shipped. Different answers everytime I try to find out.
I had forgotten how awful Best Buy is because it had been a long time since I shopped their at the store or online. The level of incompetence and indifference is shocking. I only have one silver lining in this black cloud, because it's a computer package and sold as one they have not put the charge through on my card yet, they have to ship the monitor to to charge me. Of course there is the hold of funds on my card. So even if I returned it I would be able to use my card elsewhere to buy another computer. What horrible company, with horrible service, I have to say though some of the people I have talked to in last week have been nice, and they know they work for a horrible company.
*Update*, I now see they have charged my card for everything but the monitor. After Many more phone calss 4 to be exact, I find out the monitor is back ordered and stuck in an endless loop where they could ship it to me at some random date date later who knowswhen ? maybe in 2012 LOL so now I can't go out just buy some monitor for fear they will ship me one at some random time, it can't be cancelled due to BB's screwed glitched out system, I was one of the first to order this package on Thanksgiving morning at 6:15 am and still they screwed me and it continues freaking nightmare. Ruining my holiday season completely.
I will never ever let Best Buy Darken my life again.

I ordered a desktop/lcd bundle for store pickup - the website showed it as being in stock. then the emails start - a part of your order is on backlog but is being shipped, hurry and come in to pickup the part of the order that was in stock before we cancel the order! 45 min on hold to talk to stupidvisor that tells me I cannot cancel because the monitor was a special order! Meanwhile the same bundle is still being offered on-line for a lower price "oh you have to pick-up the current order and then return it to get the lower price" but the order is not in yet!
What a run around - the customer is last mentality - new BB rules at my house - in the store and best price in town okay- NEVER order from them on-line!"
"I ordered Norton 360 3-user edition because I saw the price in the ad for $29.99. A couple days later I received an email telling me that the item was backordered and that I could cancel my order, wait for it to come in, or see if I could pick it up at a store near me. So I called customer service and after a 20 minute wait a spoke to a rep who set it up for me to pick it up at a local Best Buy store. Within the hour I had received 2 more emails and was at the store picking up my purchase."
"Best Buy should be renamed Worst Buy. It has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I ordered an item online today and used PayPal to pay for it. BB's system said they couldn't access PayPal and to use a credit card or try again later. I tried PayPal again and it went through. After receiving two emails from PayPal I checked and sure enough BB charged me twice.
After three hours on the phone being misdirected three times and hung up on twice, I was told it wasn't their problem even though their ordering system was to blame and I would have to fix it through PayPal. It was Worst Buy's error and they should have fixed it.
A few month's ago I bought a Mac computor at the local Worst Buy. The deal included Geek Squad service. What a joke! When I called them with a question the Geek told me to call Apple and hung up.
These are the first items I've bought there in ten years. Now they will be the last for at least another ten years."
"Wanted to get a refund for an ad at a lower price. Went 60 miles to the store, only to be told that they could not access the website for a price refund for an online purchase. So waited 15 minutes on my cell phone, finally hung up. Went home and called from a land line. When I asked for a supervisor I was disconnected. Called back again and when being transferred I was connected to an outside party line. Called back again only to be told that there are no price matches on black friday ads, must be somewhere on the small print. If I had known this I would have just returned the item and bought another at the lower price, now its to late. They could be a much better store if they would just improve their customer service. My next purchase will not be at best buy."

Ordered Norton 360 Premier Edition on-line (in store pickup) based on a great Black Friday deal - $29.99 (MSRP $99.99). After waiting a few days for the crowds to die down, I went to the store for pickup. When I got home, I noted that they gave me the Standard edition versus the Premier edition. I double checked my receipt to be sure I had bought the Premier edition and traveled back to the store again. Customer service was indifferent and unapologetic and suggested I go find the Premier version I paid for on the shelf. Well, after several minutes of searching, it became clear that they did not have any of the Premier edition on the shelf. When I returned to Customer Service, I had to explain why I was there all over again since the employee that I spoke with earlier had left the area. I explained that the product I ordered was not on the shelf and that I would prefer to have the sale honored and transfereed to an on-line order that would be delivered and they stated that the BestBuy.com and the retial store were separate and they could set me up with a computer to shop on-line if I wanted. No. I said, the sale is over, and shopping on-line was not going to get me the same product for the sale price. They offered me a full refund which I accepted and took elsewhere to spend. Totally unacceptable bait and switch that will make me think before I spend another dollar at Best Buy."
