"I went to best buy early this morning. In their black Friday Ad it says that any 15.99-19.99 dvd's and blue rays are on sale for 5.99, i read it over and over again to make sure. there was only a 6 max per customer and the ad did not say anything about select dvd's and blue rays only. i told them that at check out if they can prove that the ad only says select i would accept it, but the girl at the register and her manager could not find that it was "only select dvd's and blue rays" but would not give me that price because they knew it was only select ones. I told the manager that is ridiculous because how is anyone who doesn't work at a best buy supposed to figure that out. All he could say was, Well i don't make the ads I'm sorry. I ended up not purchasing anything for how rude they were about it and that is just straight up misleading advertisement!!!! Will not be going to best buy for a long time! I actually had the same prob. with the Wii/PS3 games. Black Friday printed the ad saying the games from 49.99-59.99 were on sale for 34.99. Best Buys black Friday deals are tricky and I recommend you call before you go to confirm a price and not waste your time like I did to be told no even if that is what the ad says."

"I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH BEST BUY.
I placed an order on Nov 8, 2010, today is Nov 23 and I still haven’t received my item. I contacted best buy on Nov 16 to check about my order and they had a difficult time finding out the status of my order. Finally the Best Buy Rep found out they didn't have the item in stock and that was the reason why it hadn't shipped. So he told me I was going to be contacted soon with a delivery date. Short after I was contacted, they gave me the delivery date for Nov 22, I stayed at home all day waiting but they never arrived. The next day on Nov 23 I called best buy but they kept transferring me to different people without any success. No one was able to help me because it was a "special order". I spent two hours on the phone speaking to seven different best buy customer rep and I had to repeat myself over and over to every person I spoke to. If I knew this was going to be so stressful and time consuming I would just have ordered it from Home Depot. I placed an order the same day with Home Depot and I received my items within 3 days. But I learned a lesson for the next time. I would never order from best buy nor would recommend it.

"WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE FROM BEST BUY AND ITS GEEK SQUAD AGENTS. THEY PALCED AN ORDER FOR ME ON THE 9TH OF NOVEMBER 2010 AND TODAY IS NOVEMBER 24RD AND THEY HAVE YET TO PROVIDE ME WITH A TRACKING NUMBER OR TELL ME WHERE THE PACKAGE IS. STORE # 1088 IN EVERETT, MA DID NOT MAKE SURE THAT THE ISSUE WAS REVOLVE AND KEPT TELLING DIFFERENT INFORMATION AND TODAY I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULDN'T HELP OR KNEW WHERE MY FILE WAS. PRIOR TO MY ORDER, THEY FAILED TO FOLLOW UP ON AN EXCHANGE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE THE ITEM IN THEIR STORE THAT THEY NEEDED TO GIVE SO I SPENT 3 HRS UNTIL SOMEONE FINALLY ORDER THE RIGHT ITEM AND NOW I CAN'T FIND THE ORDER OR TRACK TO KNOW WHEN I WILL RECEIVE. "Today I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever. I took my PC to the South County store in st louis for data recovery. (My fault, i lost my back up and when the computer crashed, lost 8 years of family photos). The staff in the store was great, but they could not recover the photos.
The hard drive was sent to Kentucky for another attempt at recovery, and that's where the problems began.
I tried to call the phone number that was supplied to find out what could be done. I was in voice mail jail and the only option was to leave a message for a call back.
Since no one called back that day, I made another call the following day.
The customer service rep explained that a $1000.00 deposit was needed before they could attempt to retrieve the data. I was willing to pay, because if they couldnot get any data, I'd get a $900.00 refund. So I thought that it was worth a try. I was transferred to another person to handle the credit card transaction. I gave the person my card information, and she informed me that it was 'rejected'. But she said 'this happens all the time' on out of state transactions for high dollar amounts. She told me to call the credit card company to find out why it was not authorized. I dutifully called Visa who said they did not reject the transaction, but actually approved it. I call ed BB back again and told them that the transaction was approved and asked what could be done. They informed me again that it was rejected most likely because I gave them the wrong information for the card(?). don't see how since Visa said it was approved. They said I had to wait 72 hours and they could try to submit the transaction again. I disputed this and was passed to a supervisor. she said she would investigate and call back within the hour.
She did call back on time, but gave me the same story again about the transaction not going through. I again said that Visa approved the transaction, but she said again that I had to wait 72 hours before they could do anything.
At that point, I told them to just cancel everything, since I had now spent 2 hours trying to get this resolved.
I would have paid them whatever they were charging, just to get my pictures back, but they can't even process a credit card transaction accuratley, so who know's what would have happened.

"I'VE BEEN ROBBED BY BEST BUY FOR EXCHANGING TV UNDER BEST BUY'S WARRANTY:

For my small business, I purchased 30 DYNEX 20" tube SDTV at Best Buy store, each paid $144.99 for the TV plus $29.99 for 4 years warranty. Shortly after my purchase, Best Buy discontinued the DYNEX tube SDTV production line. Then Best Buy refuses to repair my DYNEX tube TV, and asking me to exchange it to DYNEX LCD TV. I have no choice but being forced to do so, and have to pay the difference that is out of my budget.

HERE IS HOW BEST BUY RUBBED ME FOR EXCHANGING TV UNDER BEST BUY'S WARRANTY:
(1) Best Buy refuses to prorate or carry over the 4 years warranty I paid from the discontinued tube TV to the exchanged LCD TV, and make me to re-purchase new warranty $19.99 for each exchanged LCD TV.

(2) When calculating the difference between the discontinued tube TV and the exchanged LCD TV, Best Buy says the price for the tube TV is only $129.99 not $144.99 as indicated on my receipts, because they've dropped the price after my purchase; their manager even shamelessly told me, "this is our policy, it's not dollar to dollar, it's technology to technology, it's same in every business."

"BEST BUY" IS REALLY A "WORST BUY"!!!

"Worst experience buying an appliance ever.
1. had to trail the employee around the store who was clearly not interested in helping me or answering my questions. Should have trusted my instincts at that point, but Best Buy had the lowest price.

2. When I called the store about the price, they quoted me one thing, and when my husband came to the store, they put on a huge shipping fee which they conveniently did not mention when I was on the phone with them. Husband didn't know what to do, so he bought the dishwasher anyway.

3. After 2 weeks of waiting, shipping company calls us to say "We are going to be there today". Later that day, they call to ask "Can we bring it tomorrow," I said, "sure", not worried about 1 day. Next day comes, no word from the shipping company. A week passes, still no word and no dishwasher. I start calling Best Buy. I call them daily for A WEEK STRAIGHT before I get my dishwasher. Apparently, Best Buy cannot (or more likely would not) call its shippers, they rely solely on email. Hmm. I doubt that's true. I think Best Buy just doesn't want to deal with their unsatisfied customers. If it is true, that they rely only on email communications, I have some serious questions about how this company is managed, because that seems pretty inadequate.

4. I get the dishwasher. It's the wrong color. Best Buy tells me that this model is only available in black, and I could exchange it for an entirely different dishwasher (I didn't ask, but I'm sure the extra shipping and stocking fees would apply). I KNOW my husband asked for a white dishwasher, I don't know where in translation this little detail got missed.

5. Beyond that, the dishwasher itself is fantastic. You can load pans entirely encrusted with dried on batter and it gets them squeaky clean. It's very quiet, you hardly know it is running.

LOVE the actual dishwasher. HATE Best Buy, and will never, ever shop there again. I plan on posting this review everywhere I can think of to warn people off of this store. After going through this awful experience, I have heard from at least 5 other people in our area who have had exceptionally bad service from Best Buy. Why are they still in business??

"I had geek squad fix my computer with a software problem, 169.99 later i got it back and then decided i was going to buy a new one. I sold mine to Costco and they inspected it and Best Buy had failed to reinstall the housing screws. I contacted them 4 times and they did nothing nor did their General manager John Hudak respond to a letter I sent them. They are the worst!!!"

"I bought a Bourne Identity bluray as a gift for my wife, along with several others. When we got around to watching it, it would not play on the ps3. I attempted several resets of the system and made sure I had the latest firmware, but it still did not work.

After some searching, it appears others have the same issue with these "flipper" discs. I would strongly encourage anyone to not buy this movie in the "flipper disc" format. Too bad as it is a good movie.

Unfortunately, it had been more than 30 days when I had bought it. I called Best Buy and they gave me a receipt number and said to take it back to any store for an exchange. However, when I got there, they would not exchange the movie. It would have at least saved me some time if they had said that on the phone before driving to a Best Buy and not given me the run around. Sucks, as this was a gift and was not opened within the time period in the first place. Given the lack of service at a Best Buy, I will definitely be buying all movies online. I can get them cheaper, and get equivalent or better gauarantees, such as with Amazon.

"This was my worst experience ever, I will never shop at best buy again, ever. I will also notify all my family members and friends of the low level of customer service sence best buy employees have.

I bought a new notebook computer from best buy on October 28, 2010 and when I opened it I heard ratlling noise from the cheap speakers included with it. After using for few hours the web pages started to freeze and the computer would lock up and I would not be able to navigate to any other open windows unless I switched the computer off by pressing the power button. I tried to use the repair utility software included with the system but the issue continued over and over again.

Today, I visited the store in Tustin, CA to return the item and replace it with a better quality unit. I approached the return desk and they told me that I needed to go to the repair desk first. I walked over to the repair desk and was told that since they turned the computer on and they do hear the rattling noise in the speakers, they would return the item but I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee. I mentioned again that the item is defective and poor quality, the repair tech said that it is the policy of best buy. I told him that I would never shop at best buy ever again and left the best buy credit card and the notebook computer and walked out of the store.

This was the worst experience I have faced in an electronic store. And I will make sure that everyone I know is aware of the unprofessional and untraind staff best buy has. That is a promise!

" Basically I upgraded from a 13 year old 52” projection TV which is still working to a LCD with Best Buy extended warranty. I gave the old one away.

A few months ago the video on my new TV started going out. The video would go out completely for 7 to 8 seconds approximately 2 times a day while the audio continued without interruption. On 9/27/10 I called Best Buy. The part ordered for my TV was faulty. The TV would not power up. Another part was ordered.

On 10/22/10 @ 2:27 PM Ashley from BB called and left a message on my answering machine, which I still have, informing me the part was still on back order and gave me the choice to wait on it or basically get a replacement.

On Saturday, 10/23/10 @ approximately 11:20 AM I called BB @ ***-***-**** as instructed. I was instructed to pick out a replacement TV @ BB.

On Tuesday 10/25/10 after more than 2 hours of searching and comparing TVs my wife and I picked out our replacement TV. At check out we were informed there was no record of our getting a replacement TV. I went home, found the phone #, and called ***-***-**** again. After being transferred a few times I was given a # to be used @ check out.

I went back to BB and gave them the # required for my replacement TV. They called a phone # and after being transferred a few times we were told the part for my TV had been shipped and our replacement has been cancelled.

On 11/02/10, over 5 weeks later, my repaired TV was returned. At 6:28 PM the video went out for over 4 seconds. The repair technicians were not even out of my driveway. I called their cell phone. I was told to call BB again. At 7:00 PM the video went out again for 6 seconds. It went off 2 more times that night. The problem has gone from bad to worse. I called BB again on 11/06/10 @ 11:02 PM.

On 11/10/10 @ 9:56 AM BB called to inform me that my replacement had been approved again. I drove to my local BB immediately. Clinton, Home Life Supervisor worked with me, answered all my questions and I got my replacement.

Clinton went out of his way to help me and I will go back to him in the future.

"I went in today to get a price match on a cell phone which is being sold at another Best Buy across town for $50 less and this store will NOT honor the price match guarantee. The phone IS in stock and available for me to buy for $50 less than this Best Buy. I was told to go to the other store, get a refund for the price I paid, and then I could buy the phone for the $50 less. What is the point of having a "Price Match" policy if you won't honor it.

I'm returning the phone outright and buying from somewhere else. I called corporate Customer Relations and they said it was up to the store to honor a price match or not. This inconsistency across stores is bogus.

BTW- I found the same phone online for $56 less and will be buying from there.

"Very poor service. placed an order which they mentioned that it will shipped in 0-1 day, still not shipped after 8 days. sent so many emails but no reply. Called customer services, every time executive said it'll be shipped by tomorrow, but don't know which tomorrow they're talking about. will never place an order on bestbuy."

"It all depends on what store you go to.
Some are excellent and some not so much. The service in the Worcester MA store is excellent.

I cant understand people who buy stuff like washer dryers on line. The likely hood of damage is high.
