"I ordered a shim from these guys. I think their company is overall good, but it took over a week for the shipment to come in, after I ordered Priority 2-3 days. What they failed to indicate is that they actually shipped the product 1 - 2 days AFTER they had sent me an email notification that it had been shipped. Also in the email they sent me a false Tracking number. I called in and the rep told me when they shipped the item, plus told me the correct tracking number. I have no ill feeling toward BestByte and I'd buy from them again, but THEY NEED TO IMPROVE THEIR ORDER TRACKING SERVICE."

I have ordered 3 times from this company and I have been very satisfied: total 50+ fans, 5 heatsinks, 7 Mitsumi optical mice, and other misc. like fan guards, wires etc etc.

All of my orderes were shipped the same day and arrived two days later. I ordered monday morning, received Wednesday afternoon.

deciding on the right equipment can be a difficult sometimes. I called them and somebody answered the phone (which is a GOOD sign, considering all of the bad on-line vendors) within 2 rings. I explained my situation and they even suggested some hardware that isn't listed on their website. I always do lots of research before I spend my hard-earned dollars, and the phone rep (Barry) was very honest. My order invoice showed up in my Inbox within 5 minutes and shipping confirmation by the end of the workday.

"Ordered Monday and specified ground shipping. Then I read that all priority shipping is processed same day so I called them and changed my shipping to FedEx 3 day select. Spoke with Barry on the phone and he changed my shipping without issue. I called them Wednesday wondering if they had shipped my package and was told they were at lunch, they got my name and number and told me they'd call back. A few hours later they called back and gave me my FedEx tracking number and just to do one better they even looked it up for me. At one point they did run out of the product I wanted (Volcano 7+). I called to see when they would get more in; the sales rep told me when they would get more in, but also told me about a better hsf then the Volcanon 7+ (the AX-478). "I don't know about you guys, but i didn't have a very good experience with these guys. I ordered the Arctic Silver 3 Advanced Thermal Compoun (TCAS3) and  the Thermaltake Copper AMD Socket A/462 Shim (SHTTA) 'cuz they had a great price and no shipping charge. One week has gone by and still no thermal compound and shim; so i called them, and they said they already shipped out on 6/17/02 and asked me to give it a couple more days. So i gave it another week and still nothing. So i called them again, and they said give it another week 'cuz sometimes it takes 3 weeks... so i gave it another week, but still nothing. So i called them again and finally they sent out again, but this time i asked for shipping confirmation. At last, i just got those items like last monday (7/15/02). So it took like a month to recieve my stuffs. The only thing that i was upset was that i have everything set to go and had to wait for these. I guess i got off with them on the wrong foot right from the start, and yet i don't a good experience with them. So my advice to you guys would be make sure to ask for some sort of shipping confirmation or tracking number so that you know where your stuffs are. "

However, I have dealt with many good merchants in my time, and have never once had to return an item with my own funds.
