"I ordered a brace online on 8-8-18. They accepted my PayPal payment & I waited for a confirmation email which never came. After a week of waiting I called them & was told the brace I ordered was on back order & they should have new shipment in a few days. Another week goes by & still no confirmation email. 20 days after I placed my order I call them again. The brace I ordered is still out of stock & they have no idea when they will receive them. I stated I was unhappy with their lack of communication, wanted to cancel my order & was told I would like to know when I could expect a refund. They had no idea of when I could get my money back because they would have to speak to the accounting department. This is just a really poorly run company. I checked my PayPal today & did receive a refund but they would do well to improve communications with their future customers...if they have any.

"I gave them 4 stars, because even with a 20% discount, I think they were still too costly for my taste. It doesn’t say where they were made, but you can tell it wasn’t in the US. They were also brand name by Don Joy. My braces came in a couple weeks ago and I’ve been on the phone with Don Joy trying to get one of my compression sleeves replaced because they sent me one large and one small, although the small one said large on the package. That’s why I bought my new ones through Better Braces. I know I’m gonna need them in the future. Beware of Don Joy! I’m turning my case over to my insurance for fraud, waste and abuse. I can’t get them to return my calls. Been trying for 2 weeks and many different numbers and still no call back. I believe you should get what you pay for whether large or small.

"My Physical Therapist recommended this company to order my ankle brace. I ordered my brace on 2/23/18. I called several times to get an order status. The 1st time I was told the order was on the truck to usps. Then after the 2nd call I was told it was in the warehouse. The 3rd time I was told it was at the post office. I called the 4th time and was told a completely different story and to keep checking the tracking number. I checked the tracking number and there was no such number at the usps. This company is a joke. DO NOT ORDER from this place. Customer service ****."
"After stupidly checking the reviews of Better Braces AFTER placing my order for a Don Joy FourcePoint Knee Brace I was fearful that my order would either not turn up or would be incorrect. However a week after my order was placed the brace was delivered as advised and it was the correct model/size etc.

"Purchased a sleeve for my DonJoy knee brace after being refereed to them by DonJoy. Now after waiting 2 weeks to get the brace it isn't what I ordered. Not even close nor do the item numbers match. I have emailed several times. No one responds. Get on the chat with them and all you get is "you can return for a full refund minus shipping and handling and buyer responsible for return shipping. When I asked for a phone number to speak to a real person the chat session was ended. I tried to reconnect to it but it says it is not available at this time.I didn't pay for them to ship it to me so why would I pay to send it back at my expense for their mistake. They say I have no choice. So I am out the $30 i spent and still don't have the sleeve that I need. I am doing my best to insure people are informed about this company and its practices. Also filing a complaint with my card company. These people are crooks pure and simple."

"I requested a medium per the sizing chart which is supposed to fit up to 15" Knee. They sent me a small/medium, since there is no real "medium". At the time I ordered there was a 25% discount. Since they were no longer offering that discount, they would not offer it to me even though it was not a mistake on my part. They say they are not set up for "exchanges" so they can't offer me the 25% discount. Beware that discounts are not honored beyond the original date, even if the product is not correct."

They billed my insurance that amount for the EXACT brace they are selling on their own site for more than 400% less. It is currently being sold for $169 with and additional 20% off at checkout. DJO Global should be ashamed and, in my opinion, prosecuted for taking advantage of patients and our healthcare system. *DJO, I read your disclaimer about the markup required in order to procure medical supplies through a physician's office. I can't help but wonder how those services could inflate the cost of a brace by more than 4 times the price you are selling it for on your website? My suspicion is that the higher cost is mostly attributed to pure greed but if you have a more detailed answer, both myself and my local news station would love to hear it. I will be contacting my state representatives and senators as well. Legislators are currently looking for solutions to our nation's rising healthcare costs and I think that DJO Global and predatory companies like it are an excellent place to start! "

I also did not receive my brace on time and I paid for the two day delivery...When the brace arrived I called the customer service and was told that I had not ordered the brace before noon three days in advance so "too bad". "I ordered over $400.00 worth of braces that were supposed to arrive before Xmas. They didn't, but I did receive and email informing me of the delay, so no big deal. When I finally received the order a month late, one of the braces was incorrectly shipped in a color I didn't order. I sent an email to their customer service email and the response I received was "you received a mismatched set because one of the braces you ordered was discontinued". Nothing more, no sorry or options to correct their error. I've sent at least half a dozen emails and the remedy to their error is to have me ship the incorrect brace back to them at my expense and to reorder the replacement brace and again pay the additional shipping costs. They expect me to pay $30-40 of additional shipping costs to fix their error for a $43.00 brace, so now the replacement brace will cost me $75.00-$85.00 including the cost of the correct brace to fix their mistake. I have also asked for the manager to call me numerous times and have I not received any response. I asked for the manager's contact info and the rep replied saying she is aware of my situation. Not, she will contact you or here is her contact in, just she knows of your situation. The amount of time I have wasted trying to rectify their error is ridiculous and their attitude in taking ownership and fixing their mistake is even worse. It seems that this part of the company is focused on delaying and frustrating the customer to the point where they just give up. This is unfortunate as the products they sell are good quality products. However, anyone that has to suffer through their ignore, divert and stall tactics will never be a return customer. I won't be a return customer and I would strongly urge potential customers to find another more reputable company to deal with."
"I ordered a brace after knee surgery and the description said it was fastened with velcro however when it arrived it was a SLEEVE AND velcro. I can't use a sleeve as it irritates my skin so I wrote to ask for a return address as per their website information. I've now written FOUR times and each time the email bounces back as undeliverable. I've also telephoned and left messages via their website - all to no avail. I can't return unless they provide a RETURN ADDRESS! This company has THE WORSE customer service EVER do not believe a word of their website it's a con. They are a con merchant company I shall be contacting Consumer Affairs I'm disabled and can't afford this disgusting company behaviour I need the refund so I can order a more suitable brace but it won't be from this company that's for sure.
