"If I had read the reviews on this company I would have never ordered. Waited two weeks, was promised twice to ship early next week. Never happened. How these people stay in business is beyond me.

"Run do not trust this company. Took two weeks to reply to order to tell me that they don't stock that item and that it is impossible to find. Asked Ben why he doesn't remove the item from his site. He said it isn't his problem. Would not order from them EVER again."
"I am an electrical contractor. The problems I encountered with this company:
-placed an order that needed to be sent in 2 days. They sent the order minus one backordered item. They didn't give me a heads up that it would be missing, I only found out when I opened the box. If I had known it would be backordered, I would've made other arrangements. It took 3 calls before I could finally reach someone about it. I left messages and nobody called me back.
-after I finally talked to someone, the item was going to be sent in 1-2 days, they didn't know when they'd get it in. Finally got it a week after original order. I had to make a second trip to install.
-needed to return two small items (under $15). When requested to not pay the 30% restocking fee on such a minimal return amount,(10% if anything, is standard) I was told that it's policy. When asked to speak to the superior, he said, "I am the superior. It is what it is." I said I'd no longer be doing business with them. He didn't do anything to try to keep me as a customer."
"RUN, RUN AS AFST AS YOU CAN AND DON'T LOOK BACK. IT'S NOT WORTH IT! Ben Melamend will not return your calls or ansewer your e-mails. If he ansewers the phone when you call, he lies every time! Long story short, I ordered a fan on Jan 20. On March 12 I am at the end of my rope and tonight disputed the charge. Ben is not sloppy, he is a damn theif!"
"I am a contractor. I order some reaccessed lights housing, trim for the lights and a dimmer. I made the order over the phone and was told the order would ship in the morning. A week later I called to check the status of my order and was told that it was on its way. That was a lie!!! I got an email three days later with the tracking info - package was shipped 10 days after I placed the order. Another week pass by and I finally got the package but for my surprise it had only part of my order. I called again and talk to the owner, he told me that the dimmer was out of stock (was in stock when I placed the order) so they decided not to ship the dimmer as well as the trims. When I confronted the owner and asked why nobody had the curtacy to called me or why he didn't ship the trim so at least I can install the lights for my client with a temporary switch he did not have any good answer. he promised that he would overnight the rest of my order and that I should get it all by the following week (third week since I placed the order). another week passed by and no sign for my order, so called the company again and was told that the owner has all of my paper work and he would call me right back. Of course he didn't call but I got an email with tracking nm. the next day - he shipped the rest of my order (hopefully) but in regular mail (another week). I called the owner to ask why it wasn't shipped overnight and he said that it is shipped so there is nothing he can do and he does not want to argue with me again....

"Ahh more lies and deceit. Ordered light almost 2 months ago - just 2 weeks ago called - was told item arrived and would ship it to me. I asked for expedited shipping - guy said he was already losing money on the deal, but would get it right out. Today I call because I had yet to receive light, and was told they hadn't shipped it because they hadn't received it yet from their distributors. AVOID!"
"The worst of the worst. They lie, deceive, ignore, and hide. Six weeks later and I still don't have my order. They even gave me someone else's tracking number to make it look like my order shipped. Stay away."
"Ordered a RAB STL110H security light on 15 October. By 12 November, the order status had been sitting at "Will ship within 24 hours." for almost a month. They charged me several weeks prior, but never actually shipped a product. Emails to support went completely unanswered. Avoid this merchant unless you can afford to go an extended period of time without your order and potentially have to dispute a charge."
"HORRENDOUS customer service. They basically lost my order, tried to lie about it, hung up on me while I was making sure they would not be charging my card. Their low prices mean nothing if name-brand products are never in stock. They try to get you to buy an off brand item similar to what you want. Complete idiots with no manners. They will hopefully put themselves out of business soon before too many more people have to have their time wasted."
"Despite some low reviews, I was reassured when a person picked up the phone when I called regarding the light bulbs I was ordering.
The person that answered confirmed that the items I wanted to purchase were in stock, so I took a chance in ordering.
I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient the transaction occurred - I received my FedEx shipping and tracking confirmation that evening (since I placed the order via phone vs. the website) and received my correct order on time.
I will definitely recommend this company again!"
"Ordered product on 1/11/09. Web site advises quick ship or notification if backordered. No product and no notiification of backorder. Attempted telephone contact to follow up, but no answer, then on another attempt received voicemail. Left message, but no return of my call. Sent email, but received no response. Today (1/26/09) telephoned and was answered. I canceled my order. WOULD ADVISE OTHERS TO NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY REGARDLES OF PRICE OR TERMS."
"The worst customer service experience I have ever had online. Their printed policies state that they will ship the same day if a product is available and will notify the customer within 48 to 72 hours if the item is on backorder. Needless to say, I heard nothing. Then I began a campaign of calling and emailing and was dragged along with promises of "We'll call you back by the end of the day." These were repeated ad nauseum. Today I finally got through again, only to be left with dead air. All repeated attempts have failed to connect.
Do NOT buy from this vendor regardless of the pricing. Their service is AWFUL."
"Promise to ship next day but don't. Don't answer phone. Voice mailbox is full. Others have reported long shipping delays and impossible to contact. I should have checked the ratings first. Domain is registered via a proxy, so you can't even find the true owner. Avoid this company!"
"Have bought from them 3 times. Each time they sent order confirmation within an hour. They knew their products. They usually had the lowest prices and when not they beat or matched. They followed up when they promised and met expectations. Very good overall experience."
