"Got myself in a bind and need a part tomorrow. They offer next day air and same day shipping if the order is in before 3pm EST. I placed the order at 1:30pm EST and noted my desire for same day shipping or to cancel the order. I also sent an email regarding the order to confirm the shipping.

I will update this review as things develop. I hope they come through. We shall see.

"Ordered an Asus MB at the lowest price I could find on the net. Got UPS 2nd day air at reasonable cost.
Item arrived in 2 days and was exactly as decribed. This was not an OEM board, but a retail
boxed board. I will definitely order from them again. Thanks for saving me money !

"They were great! They shipped my lian li, pc70 across the whole country and it only took them 5 days on the cheapest shipping price. That was while the lian li was on back order too! It was also the cheapest place I could find to buy a lian li pc70. I recomend buying there."

"I should have listened. They rating was sketchy at best, the bad reviews are correct. Costumer service is a joke packaging is a sin. OEM Hercules 9700 pro $349.00 + $12.00 shipping $361.00 rapped in bubble rap tossed in a box cooling fan snapped off and now they want me pay for shipping both ways and %15 restocking..restocking what they gonna sell this to you next ...Do yourself a favor find a reputable dealer pay a little move and save yourself the frustation and disapointment i am having"

"Ordered a LIan Li case with transparent window from these guys on the 3rd of January. On the 14 of January I receive the case, no window, plain model. I have written a note to customer service, we'll see what happens next.
I would be very hesitant about ordering from these guys!!! The prices are very good, but if you don't get what you ordered........
If anyone has a good phone number for this company, please email me with it, I doubt I'll ever get an answer email!


Sounds like a bait & switch company to me. I finally got a reply 2 days later stating in very broken English that the case I ordered was not in stock....I mmediately wrote back to find out if it would be instock and got a non sense answer.

Why would you send someone something else when you know that's not what they ordered.
Bottom line here, these guys are DORKS and we need to boycott them!!!!

"My first experience ordering from PC-beyond caused me a bit of uneccesary anxiety. Their prices were great, but it was clear that the shipping costs were quite padded. However, their site does allow you to determine the shipping costs before your order is charged.

Really my only complaint was the lack of communication after the sale. No confirmation email, no notification of shipment. However, the parts that I ordered arrived on time and in pristine condition. No complaints there. I got a bit ancy when I didn't receive an email to confirm my order (NewEgg has spoiled me), so I did email customer service. By the end of that same day I received a friendly email telling my that my order had been shipped and the email provided a tracking number.

So, although I did not have any "real" problems, I would suggest that pc-beyond begin emailing order confirmations and automatically email tracking numbers when an order ships. This would surely ease the mind of any ancy purchaser, like myself.

UPDATE: Well, as it turns out, the video card that I ordered had a broken fan. With vendors like Newegg and Axion, this isn't a big deal. Just call them and they'll give you an RMA...and, they will let you order another which basically results in a "cross ship". BUT, this is not the case with PC-Beyond. I was told to contact the manufacturer...or, I could order another and send this one back with a 15% restocking fee. Now why would I want to eat 15% for returning a damaged product? So, buyer beware. This company is all about the sale and not about service. Luckily, my defective part is from a reputable company (MSI) and it appears that a replacement will soon be forthcoming.

"Great prices and.... well actually that's it. Just great prices. If inconsequential things like excessive shipping fees and non-existent customer service don't bother you, then these are the guys for you. I purchased a mobo from these guys last week. It came DOA. I've been calling them for almost 5 days now without anyone even answering the phone. Hopefully they'll at least e-mail me back sometime. That sometime being after the 7 days I have to return the item I'm sure. Oh, and I'm thinking about putting a collection together for these guys. To get them an answering machine. I'd hate to thrust new technology on a business like that but I would really like a way to share my appreciation with them a little more directly.

Little addendum. An hour after I wrote this PC-Beyond called me. They were very polite and gave me a return authorization without any hassle. Also the number that is printed on both their website and invoice is somehow not working, I was told. I would still think twice before ordering from this company, but to be fair, they did handle things very professionally once I was finally contacted.

"No problems whatsoever! I ordered on a Saturday night and the mobo shipped on Monday. I got it on Wednesday, and I'm in CA! Price was the best on the net and service was excellent. Most problems I have read here have to do with shipping issues and defective product, neither of which are an issue for me. I will definitely buy from them again.

9/10/02 UPDATE:

My second order with Beyond Computer has gone flawlessly. I ordered some RAM from them on Sunday night, and it arrived today (Tuesday). Since they processed on Monday, I basically got overnight shipping (paid for 2 day). Good products, excellent shipping times... I will continue to buy from and recommend Beyond Computers to my family and friends.

9/26/02 - Completed another successful order with this company. Fast shipping as usual!

"DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE CHINESE GUY'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will stiff you. I bought a leadtek video card from these guys and they sent me the leadtek documentation, software and box but the card was a vision tek that doesn't work. When I addressed the issue to them, they said the serial # on the card does not match the box...........duh??? and therefore they did not want to bother replacing the card. Now I am basically out $250.00. Im also in the process of contacting the better business bureau and seeking legal action against the company. This company has a history of selling opened/used and/or faulty products to customers. This kind of activity is fraudulent and I feel that since so many people have been stiffed by these guys, a class action law suite should be in order.
