Although when I made my purchase it was available, I received an email and a phone call that the item would not be shipped as Beyond the Rack could not get this item they advertised on their site. "Shopping with Beyond the Rack will remind you why Canadians prefer US retailers. The clothing products are always some no-name label, rarely do I see a designer I know. The exception here is for purses/bags. They do carry name-brands, but the discounts are laughable. $50 off???? I could get that in store directly from the retailer, or shopping at The Bay when they have their seasonal sales. The discounts truly seem like a joke to me.
The one time I ordered a shirt, the blouse came with a cut-out design on the back, it looked cheap and fit poorly. The blouse was not shown with that detail on the website, as they only feature one-view. Fortunately BTR has a good return policy and customer service and I was able to ship back for free and get a full refund including my original shipping costs.
When compared to other online flash sale sites, BTR is poorly set up. For example, if you would like to search in a sale category for a type of item (ie. blouse, sweater, etc.) you can't. The only filter option is size, and you can still be left with 6 pages of clothing to search through! Other sites like Ideeli and Haute Look allow you to filter by style, color, size, and even price. This enables you to quickly find what you're looking for. It's frustrating and irritating shopping on the BTR site and I won't purchase again. I'd rather pay extra shipping to get something sent to Canada from the US. At least you can get good quality clothing at significant discounts. With the quality of clothing on BTR you may as well just shop at Walmart. You're buying a shirt for $19.99 but the quality is truly $19.99. If you want top quality clothing for less shop elsewhere. "

"The comforter set I ordered was definitely NOT as shown online. I decided that it was suitable (although not as pictured) and began putting it on the bed. When I took it out of the box, there was a tear in the bed skirt. Again, I decided to keep it and was planning to fix the tear myself. However, when I began to put the pillow shams on, four of the decorative buttons fell off immediately. The set was only out of the box for five minutes before it completely fell apart. I have since returned the comforter set and am waiting for my return to be processed. Based on the quality of the items in this set, I am hesitant to order from BTR anymore, but will be forced to as the set can only be returned for credit. Hoping for better luck with my next order."
