"This was my first time doing business with BigSupplyShop.com, but I discovered they draw you in with incredibly low prices that are well below the competition, but then extremely overcharge you for shipping in order to make up the difference. In the end, you wind up paying what you would have with any other online store. That is a really scummy tactic for doing business that I can do without.

Here is my back-story: For months BigSupplyShop.com has offered the lowest price anywhere on the Internet for a particular rifle stock. Regularly priced through the manufacturer at $199.99, BigSupplyShop.com priced it at a very low price of only $135.99. This price point easily beats all the other discount outlets I’d been cross-checking by $30 or more dollars.

This item is so popular that no one can keep it in stock. So I requested BigSupplyShop.com notify me via email. My notification email came in today, so I anxiously clicked the link, put it in my cart, and headed to checkout. During this process is when I realized that BigSupplyShop.com wants to charge me an additional $4.00 shipping and handling fee and another $31.00 to actually do the shipping. This little trick brings the price right back up to the cost at other online retailers. So there really is no discount.

What irritates me the most is that while I waited months to get BigSupplyShop.com’s supposedly great savings, other online sellers had it come in stock off and on. During hard times with such an awful economy when everyone is trying to save a buck, I think it is repugnant that a company would take advantage of their customers and dupe them like this.

Needless to say I canceled my order causing them to lose my business. I took my transaction elsewhere and got a pretty good deal with free shipping and they included an extra 10 round magazine for free. Their price comes within $10 that BigSupplyShop.com wants to charge with their outrageous shipping fees. I don’t mind paying an extra $10 to an honest company that wants to earn your business with respect.

Come on... we’ve all been doing enough business online now to know this company really won’t pay that much to ship. They are profiting off their scam and that is why I will make sure everyone knows they are deceitful. I simply cannot stand scummy business tactics such as this."

You might find a better way to pack the Gunmaster cleaning kit UGC76C. Although it was totally undamaged many of the items were out of place and took awhile to find where each piece belonged.The product picture on the item helped sort things out more quickly than having to read the sizing on each item and match it with the placement sheet included.
Possibly adding a piece of cardboard or soft foam would help keep the items in place during shipping.

The only thing I would like to see different is the ability to further refine product searches. For example, ammo. You can only refine a search down to the handgun, rifle, rimfire, shotgun level. That's OK but I want to see only those calibers and gauges that I use and perhaps, only certain manufacturers rather than search through page after page of every maker and caliber you sell. Sure it can typed in the search box at the upper right of the page but I have to type the search argument the same way you have it listed in order to get an exact match. Same for reloading components like bullets. I would like to search for bullets by manufacturer, diameter (caliber), bullet weight, and maybe even configuration or style as in hollow point, spire point, flat nose, full metal jacket, etc.

I had just recently found your site and from what I've seen and my rather limited shopping experience with you (only this one time so far), I will certainly check your site first for my future needs. I'll be back."
