"BE CAREFUL! I would avoid this store, they post misleading and fake ads and customer service is terrible. There are other stores. Do not take the risk. I see I am not the only one who has experienced such duplicity. I purchased the pictured item as a christmas gift. CLEARLY in the photo this item is advertised as a pair. I received only one. At no point before hitting "ADD TO CART" is it made clear this is for only 1 lever. When I called to make the store aware, the staff were EXTREMELY rude, suggesting that the price itself should have informed me of this fact and laughed. I am not a bicycle expert. This is not at all clear to anyone (please reference the photo should you disagree). The customer service representative laughed. I'm glad he thinks that ruining a persons Christmas gift is funny. The customer service representative was extremely rude and the service was no existent. This is purely and simply misleading posts, designed to con a customer into a purchase. It seems to be a popular theme in these reviews. Go elsewhere. There are much better options.

"I had a chat with the customer service rep before buying cycling shoes. I was concerned about the sizing but the rep assured me that I could order size 44 and send them back for a new size if they didn't fit. I took a screenshot of this exchange and ordered the 44s. When they arrived, I tried on the right shoe (size 44) and knew immediately it was too big.

The rep said the size 43s weren't in stock and wouldn't be for a few months so I asked for a refund. I took pics of the shoes and returned them.

I was given store credit minus an $8.95 return fee. They said the shoes were scuffed. The one shoe I tried on for less than a minute was not scuffed. I was given "the benefit of the doubt" since this is my first return. I took this as a warning to not place a second order with this company.

If the correct size was in stock this transaction would have been an exchange, not a return. The second rep was able to refund me in full after I mentioned I had documentation of the first rep's conversation. The overall experience seemed dishonest. Luckily, I was able to find the same shoe in a size 43 elsewhere.

After riding my bike one time for 3 miles on a “new” ultegra derailleur purchased from bike tires direct, I had the derailleur body snap on me at a weak point. I spoke to a clown named Aaron at bike tires direct. He told me it would be warrantied and replaced upon receiving the derailleur or pictures of the derailleur. I sent photos in and was met back with a response in which Aaron called me a liar and claimed it was clearly showing signs of impact damage and that the damage is unmistakable and had the audacity to offer me a lousy $10 off a $100 part. Bike tires direct will not warranty faulty or broken parts for you no matter the timeframe or situation, but rather insult you upon submitting a claim. I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere"

"Though the price of the Jagwire cable is a bit high, it's the same as all other bike parts stores (probably a Jagwire pricing structure for their polished inner wire cable). But the nice part was that it arrived in 3 days via USPS. This is second order I've made in about 5 years so not like I order every month, but was a good transaction each time. I started buying just tires from them (their name implies they have tires after all ;)
I've bought a bunch of gear from them as well. I really like their no hassle return policy. No RMA is needed, you just send it back. This is helpful when trying to select just the right size clothing when the sizing charts are a little off the wall and you have no LBSs that carry the item(s)."

Kudos to biketiresdirect for resolving the issue i raised. Talk about commitment to excellence. The manager, Chris was communicating with me even on thanksgiving.

Although my experience didn't start great. At the end, it warranted to revise my rating to five stars.


Update: 11/27/2014

Received an email from the manager espressing apologies that returned items may have foung their way back to bnew inventory and sold as bnew price.

I'll update my review once the issue is fully rectified.

I just received my order and biketiresdirect.com should be ashamed of themselves.

I received a returned item sold by their site as brand new. I know this for a fact because i know how shimano packaged their product.

The rubber was already placed on the di2 wireless transmitter unit. Manual in the box is already crumpled and is missing the manual in other languages.

Plastic is already opened. Very disappointed."

When its out of stock, the online specifies and when they anticipate re-stock; so you don't get caught in buying something that the vendor doesn't have like some of the other unscrupulous vendors out there. I love the customer loyalty point system and it keeps me coming back for more!"
