"Worst retail and online purchase experience I've ever had. First off, they use pay pal which is antiquated and couple that with a slow functioning website caused for a double process of my order. I was unaware of this until 2 bikes arrived over a week after my purchase. I was further shocked by this since I had had several email exchanges with bike buyers prior, since the bike I ordered was out of stock. In all of my emails I refer to it as" the bike" and since they never communicated in any other fashion than email it's no wonder this error occurred. When I called to let them know of the error they said it was my fault and that I would be responsible for paying to return the bike. I asked them for their help and assistance on the matter, as it was clearly a processing error, since it's beyond unlikely that anyone would purchase the exact same bike through 2 different orders and would have just added 2 bikes to the
Same order if I had wanted 2 of the exact same bikes. Had they ever called me back per my request instead of just email this could have been addressed and resolved before shipping. If they had good customer service in the first place they probably would have confirmed the duplicate order. Needless to say they blamed me and said I'm responsible to pay if I want to ship it back, but that a better solution would be to sell the 2nd bike to someone I know. Plus, they kept informing about how lucky I was to get the free baskets for my bikes. The customer service they provide is embarrassing. The bike is low quality at best and their antiquated website and payment processing vendor result in unfortunate mishaps which probably helps them sell more bikes " by accident". I have absolutely nothing good to say about the bike, the service or the company and am kicking myself for not using my Amazon Prime account, where had something like this happened they would have made it right and taken care of their customer. Please don't put yourself through this hassle and go elsewhere. You'll be glad you did."
"My advice to anyone considering buying a bike on bike buyers.com is to be VERY careful. Read the findprint on their website. I ordered a bike with a certain colour only to get an email to choose the colour again. So I chose the same colour again. Then they shipped me a different colour and told me that that colour is out of stock. The customer service personnel, told me that they just gave me another colour in that model. Wouldn't it be easier to say that that colour in that model is out of stock? The bike came damage also. The front fork has a defect, the wheel cannot go on. So I took of the fork and I discovered another problem. The cage bearings are damage also. The wheels need to be true/ truing. I asked for a exchange and they refused to do it. They are guilty of false advertising. If they don't have a product they should update their website. I have say, they are in the process of sending the replacement parts. "
"Caution: I drove all the way to their store/warehouse to get a bike, and checked for scratches before driving home. Found some big ones, so I checked another, then another, then finally we found a box whose bike wasn't obviously scratched.
Took it home but didn't open it until after holidays - found serious scratches on this one too, where you couldn't see them until you took the bike out of its packaging!
They don't care since I had waited until after their return period to contact them. I wasn't even asking for my money back, I just wanted some touch up paint. They want me to BUY the touch up paint from them.
If I had ordered online I would have gotten that first bike, which was much more scratched than the one I took."
"I'm disappointed in their customer service. I ordered the bike and the optional $5.00 extra basket. The bike arrived but not the basket. When I asked them about it, they said I didn't order it. Anyone reading this review knows what they ordered. They refused to ship the basket which would have made me a happy customer instead of an unset one. If I order another bike online I'm going to a company that hopefully honors it's committments."
"I have never been more dissatisfied with an online retailer than I have been with bikebuyers.com. First, they post bikes on their website that they do not actually have in stock, and then ask you to email them to confirm stock. I wanted a very specific bike, so I spent 3 days trying to get a straight answer to make sure that they would be receiving it in their next shipment. After being told that I was "Ok to place my order," I found out that what Adrien, the customer sales rep, meant was that, bikebuyers.com was going to take the $200 out of my account, and then email me to say that they did not have the bike.
After all of this, what really upset me was the fact that when I asked for another model, one only costing $20 more, for the same price, they refused, claiming that I was never told the bike would be coming in.
And now, a week later, the money still has not been refunded to my account, and I opted to pay more for a bike from a different site, for the sheer fact that I expect good customer service when I make a purchase, and do not have faith that bikebuyers would do that for me."
