"I had the misfortune of buying ahead of my need and didn't use the LED ROPE lights until 2016. They boast these will last for several years. They did not. They worked for while (less than two years) and then the transformer burned a hole in my deck. I wrote to Bird Dog who said that my lights were out of warranty. The truth is they were defective from the start as the new transformer I also purchased from them was re-designed. I was made to feel unimportant and the truth is you can save hundreds on Amazon. Good Bird Dog. Action Lighting or Amazon will be where I go from now on. Check for UL approval and report problems you have to them as well."

"Sold me an old, used Showmotion tree as new and, instead of correcting the "mistake", offered me a $50 in-store credit. They would not exchange the tree without my paying the return shipping. The tree received was not similar to their website photos. The tree had handwritten labels on each of the light strings, no instructions, no yard stakes and the paint was missing where the poles attached. Their representative admitted that it may have been a display, but would not budge on their "offer". I had asked them to refund me 50% of the purchase price OR send an RMA and label to return the tree in exchange for a new tree. I ended up purchasing the correct tree online from another supplier located just blocks away from them. This was a $159 item on an order that totalled over $620."

"This company made it a hassle to complete a return. They did not respond to my inquiries until I filed a BBB complaint against them. Birddog Distributing was in error, as they granted an authorized return for my order but did not acknowledge it and then denied that they ever issued it. Fully complying with their return policy, I was given a "Return Authorization" RMA number after contacting the company through email and affixed it to the return shipment as stated in the policy. My items sat at their location for over a week with no response from the company. I paid them through Paypal, so bank transfer times should not have been an issue. After multiple fruitless attempts to contact them, I then receive conflicting responses from the company through email and in the resolution to my complaint. In the email, they state that a return credit was issued two days after the receipt of my items but in the complaint response they accuse me of error by stating that my return was not authorized because I did not receive a return authorization. This company dropped the ball and are obviously trying to cover their tracks, but this should not be done in a manner to make the customer seem to be at fault. I was issued my deserved return but the company portrayed the delay as my own fault because of their false accusation of me not following their return policy. Due to this whole ordeal, buyers must be aware that this company is delusive and strives to keep face throughout glaring errors and missteps."
