"The first rope light spool I bought cost $150 and had to be thrown away as they did not light up properly. That spool was bought on clearance which they said means "as is" -- and apparently "as is" means "may not light up". The next spool I bought cost significantly more and was supposed to be lavender but after it was installed it was magenta. My staff thinks it makes our veterinary clinic look like a house of ill repute. But at least it lights up. Sigh...."
