"Got my bitcoins in 10min.Thanks Bitinstant."
"after three tries of transaction of money from mtgox to bitstamp the first failing, but the money did not returned and the two after that succeed but i got strange errors from the apiresponse and no money in bitstamp.
im seriously think that its a scam "
"This is unbelivably bad BitInstant lost 2x $503.95 = $1007.90 put in $503.95 on April 4th 2013 for Mt.Gox
April 7th $593.95 for Blockchain no order Id recieved"
"Horrible first experience... possibly my last.
Was actually testing the service and used the BTC-e to Paypal
Transferred 40$ which gave me just over 35.50$ after interest according to their site.
I contacted BitInstant via online message roughly 2 hours after the transfer which is supposed to be instant.
The next day after it was more than 12 hours wait time I emailed again.. I tried to call but hung up when they stated their phone was for emergencies only in a particular tone.
It has now been just over 23 hours and unfortunately my order has not gone through and yet all my money was taken by BitInstant and I get nothing but a cold wall of silence for all attempts at communications.
Horrible for CxService, horrible for providing the service offered, horrible for following up. Horrible for fixing any issue, and horrible business.
The API response on my email is: {u'errorCode': u'INSUFFICIENT_FUNDS', u'paymentID': 0}
Umm.... I gave my full 40$ and am waiting for my 35.50$... was the account the funds were coming from low on funds?
BitInstant is very close to fraud. "
"Bitinstant is wonderful, never had a problem but I know if I do they are they to help, woot!"
"It works, but there's NO GUIDANCE on how to use the API response. The email you get returns a MtGox coupon code in the form of MTGOX-USD... However, there's no indication that this is a coupon code unless you dig through their API. Waited 6 days until I discovered this information on a forum, because I got no response after two emails. Charlie Shrem is running a really shady business."
"WTF?
Whers my money?
I send 3 emails and left one voicemail
No response
I lost $500 i send and another $500 market went up
I will find YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ASSHOLLE
"
"Slow to process the payment and to answer any inquiry made to support."
"It works well when it works. I've used bitinstant about 5 times or so before. This past time though I placed an order of bitcoins for $145.00 through bitstamp, like I have done before.
However when I got home I had an email from bitinstant detailing an error. I've emailed them twice since that Saturday. I have received no response or any inclination that I will receive a refund or preferably, my bitcoins.
So in other words, I do NOT recommend bitinstant. Unless you like losing a $150 every 5 transactions or so.
*Edit received a one sentence response from Seth at Bitinstant saying they ran out of money in their bitstamp account, that it would be sent soon. Who knows at what rate though and hopefully they translate to what the market value is at the time of transfer and not what it was when I purchased at around $200 a coin."
"I've got my money after 8h, that's ok"
"I sent money using their process on Sunday, it is now Tuesday. There is nothing instant about this company. They don't return calls or emails and their "live support chat" doesn't work either. I haven't even received a confirmation email from them saying that they have received my money."
"My money has been missing in action for over two and a half days now. I have received no response from anyone at BitInstant even though I have emailed their support team 4 times in the last two days. Zero acknowledgement of the problem. Even if you're swamped with support inquiries, at least send a token "we've received your email and will get back to you as soon as possible." But no, as far as I know, ****@**** just goes to someone's spam folder.
If you know you can't deliver on the promises of your service, then you should notify customers of the issue before they use your service. The BitInstant website gave NO indication that there were problems or that delays should be expected.
I will NEVER use BitInstant again, and I will strongly urge everyone I know interested in Bitcoin to avoid BitInstant like the plague. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced."
"Good Service in the beginning... Unless an issue happens. I had a few orders the past week that transferred very smoothly. With this last order my funds have not appeared. It has been five days. I have written over a dozen emails to three different people including most recently the president Charlie Shrem at ***-***-**** and have been getting the run around after supplying all order details multiple times. Charlie has asked me my order ID number 3 times and still can't solve the issue. Now for the past 2 days has not been responding to my emails and has yet to return my calls. Don't know if this is an online fly by night, but from my experience you may want to find some other funding options."
"Very efficient service, no problems whatsoever. I had reservations about using the service because of the recent hacking but I was pleasantly surprised. I got exactly what I calculated I'd get and within 20 minutes of payment."
"This is the last time i'm using this "instant" service. Fees are getting higher and higher and the services they provide becoming more questionable.
Took more then 24 hours for the deposit that's advertised as "instant" (and no, not the new user verification hold up). No replies for my emails either. Customer support does not exist."
