"I ordered a Canon Powershot S2 IS from BizzPrice.com on Friday, July 8th, 2005. To ensure that the item was in stock (as claimed on their website) I called customer service and pointedly asked them if it was in stock. The sales rep replied in the affirmative. I asked them when it would ship and the same rep stated that it would go out within 72 hours.
Surprisingly on Tuesday July 12th I received a call from American Express (the card I was using) to verify that I had indeed placed an order with BizzPrice.com and if they had shipped the order because they had already billed my card. According to the Amex rep they were not allowed to charge the card until they shipped the item.
On Friday July 15th I received my Amex statement with a charge for the full price of the camera. So I called BizzPrice to inquire on the status of the order. The rep apologized for the delay and said that there had been some confusion but that the item would ship on Monday the 18th with expedited shipping.
On Thursday July 21 I called BizzPrice again because I still had not received the camera and had not heard anything from BizzPrice. The customer service rep said that due to poor communication between the sales department and "the warehouse" they were unable to fulfill the order and his best advice was that I should cancel the order. I took his "best advice" and canceled my order and will simply never shop with these people again. Not only was their communication abyssmal, they violated the terms of their agreement with American Express by charging me without ever shipping the camera."
