"I started to create an account and even had a couple of items in my shopping cart until I found out the outrageous shipping charges. I emptied the cart and didn't even finish providing the info they wanted but, sadly, they kept my email address and continued sending me emails (at least two per day) even though I unsubscribed. Give them information at your own risk. Beware."

Don't Pay Extra for Faster Delivery

"Bought a nail gun on Nov 26th, Thanksgiving Day. Knew it would not get shipped until the 28th. Paid about $25 for two day air delivery, Fed Ex. Given this expected the item on Sunday (Fed Ex Sunday delivery is the norm now as they deliver 7 days a week) at the latest.
It has been 4 days since order and still not here. Don't pay extra for delivery, just go standard rate or get the free delivery. The extra money for two day air was wasted and just extra income in their pocket.

Do Not Buy Anything Online They Don't Stand Behind The Products They Sell ***Horrible Customer Service***

"Order # 14107908 I spoke with Dawn in customer service on Friday Aug 21 right after I received my order & explained to her that I had purchased 4 bottles of the hand sanitizer Pearlessence at one of their stores. So I went on line & the photo that it shows on their site is the same as the original one I had purchased previously in store, so I ordered 4 more & when I received them 1st they had a pour spout not the pump but I figured I could live with that but when I opened them they smell like pure alcohol nothing like the original that I purchased in store so I looked at the bottle the front label looks the same & everything on the back label looks the same except for the Inactive ingredients are somewhat different, and explained to her that my husband has a lot of allergy's & the original formula he is not allergic to. I took a picture of the back label of both bottles & emailed it to customer service just as I was asked to do & didn't hear anything for 7 days finally I emailed back again & I explained the situation to the lady and she said there was nothing she could do about it, maybe the manufacturer changed the ingredients and its not there fault so I told her I need to return them since they sent me the wrong product She then went on to tell me It was a hygiene product and there is no returns but she could make a one time exception I could pay the postage to send it back to them but she would not send me a prepaid label. I spent over $10 for them to send the product to me that is wrong and now she wants me to spend another $10 to send it back, which clearly i didn't receive the right product in the first place and I even sent them a photo of the back label of both bottles. And then I was told I could return it to one of their stores which the closest one to me is 50 miles away. This is retail fraud even now the same photo of the original bottle is still on there web site if you order it today, never even took the old photo off so I guess they want to deceive someone else. All I was told was sorry nothing we can do. this is unacceptable it should have been caught at the warehouse or the manufacturer should pay the shipping fee back to them, & how do you make hand sanitizer a hygiene item that means they can send you anything and you have to keep it. I have never been so disappointed in a store in life. "

In general the lousiest customer service

"The Janesville WI store has always provided very poor customer service IF you can find someone to help you. If you do they haven't a clue. Over the last three weeks alone we have lived a nightmare in this place.

My husband saw a lawn mower he wanted. So we went to get it, it was gone! So after three people one was willing to help, then another stepped in while Mr 1 went to the service desk, Mr 2 completely ignored Mr 1 pages to say he found it! Then Mr 1 started walking back to us and Mr 2 takes off to help a new customer! So we are taken to the service desk then told the lawn mower will be in Wednesday, handed paperwork then sent to a register where I stood in line and paid for it. So today is Saturday, its three weeks now and still no lawn mower. Every time there was an inquiry my husband was told "I don't know when it will be in,next week maybe"

Last Sunday (4/26/2020, today is 5/2) we went in and I bought him a gas powered, push weed wacker, over $400. We were sent to a drive through pick up where we were told we had to go to warehouse B to get it. Warehouse B said we had to go to the drive through to get it because it was assembled!! fortunately someone was pushing it over. Otherwise it was drive around the building and wait in line again.

After getting the weed eater home and off of the truck my husband decided it wouldn't work for him and took it back. No problem right? Huge problem! Whoever was at the customer service desk took his receipt and asked for the card used for paying for the item. Of course he didn't have the card, I do and I was at work. He did have the receipt. Now the Big issue with this is she refused to give him back his receipt! She wrote the last four digits of the card and would not give him the receipt. I never heard of this! now, keep in mind they also have the item. How do you prove you made the purchase? Any one can write a number on a piece of paper. Well we were in there again today for the rider mower that was there for service. While the husband was in that department I went to the service desk to get my card reimbursed. I am already all fired up over the service desk worker refusing to give him the receipt and was all set to to go to battle if they ripped us off. She should have said I am very sorry sir, please come back when you can get the card from your wife and we will take care of this I was at that desk nearly an hour before this got resolved.

After all of that he wants to check on the lawn mower again. We wait around another 20 minutes before someone comes around to help, this guy said he doesn't really know and the computer is down. Then he said it could be quite awhile before any lawn mowers come in. Seriously how long are we going to use the virus thing as an excuse for poor service????

We finally get a call late this afternoon from Shawn with the message that the lawn mower is in and they are waiting for it to get picked up!!! Seriously I am ready to loose my mind over that place.

Clearly I am all fired up over the receipt thing since it would have been real easy for them to claim no receipt no refund and they have the machine to boot, I am not very happy with the whole lawn mower fiasco either But I will say when it came to servicing the rider mower Jason in small engines was wonderful! He was very polite, attentive to what was wanted, wrote everything down properly and verified what he understood was correct, he let us know when the service was completed and was pleasant in setting the pickup time. Too bad they don't hire all employees like him and get rid of the poor quality.

I think in the future we just might have to try Fleet/Farm instead.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

"I had placed a simple order of 2 shirts and a sweatshirt. They sent the wrong shirt to me. The phone number listed for customer service is a waste of time. They know nothing and can do nothing. They will tell you someone from corporate will contact you within 48 hours by Email which no one did. When I called them to find out what was going on they told me corporate would contact me. I refused to accept that as an answer as no one had contacted me in the first place. After speaking to several people I was told that even though I paid for the item and they made mistake in sending out the wrong item, that I needed to return the item and when they had proof of return then and ONLY then would they send me out the correct shirt.
I returned the item along with a second shirt that came and now I receive confirmation of only 1 shirt received back and a credit. Again call the number on the bottom and all they will say is corporate will call you. This company is a nightmare. If they can't get a simple order right I can't imagine what they do with a large one.

Almost Taken!

"Went in for a wheel alignment for my Ford F-150 and was told I needed two control arms with ball joint ( one for each side) for the price of $ 347.99 each! Wow what a deal. I check the price for the control arms online and the cheapest was $99.00 to $150 for the highest. Took my truck to my mechanic and he check to see if I needed them and according to my mechanic, he told me that there was no play in the wheel so he took my truck to Firestone because my mechanic doesn't do alignments, and Firestone did a an analyst on my truck and I didn't need a alignment after all. WOW! It cost me $120 but a far cry from paying $952.97 for parts ,labor and wheel alignment. Whoa almost taken!"

Lack of help or service

"Farm and fleet is a great store in the wide variety of products it sells. The phone service is horrible. I call and always on hold or no one even answers in the each department. Very frustrating. Was on hold for 20 minutes to try and make an appointment with the tire service center... I gave up. If corporate reads this do something about it. You just earned a lost customer and further revenue."

New store in Holland, Michigan. It's tough to find good help. We all know that.

"Brand new opening week at the Farm and Fleet. Asked one of the employees where the gopher management products were. I'm in front of the mouse/pest management lane, but no luck. He advises, "no problem, follow me." I follow him absolutely all around the store in a complete circle, lane by lane. He asks another employee where the "gopher live traps" are. I advise him that no one live traps gophers, and I'm ok with sending them back to the seventh ring of hades. He continues leading all the way in a store circle.

We end up back where we started, where a second employee approaches him. Advises that he has a delivery. The leading employee leaves. To the back room. Just. Leaves. I'm standing there and I look at the second employee. "Is he coming back, or...?" The second employee advises, "no, he's got stuff to do." I say...."Uh, you were standing here the whole time....uh...what do I do?" He literally shrugs AND WALKS AWAY.... His departing words were, "well, with that guy, he sort of chases shiny objects." And I'm left standing there. Bizarre. So I bought two packs of Gopher Gasser from Lowes down the road. No biggie.

Now, I know that things are tough all over, but the retail market is brutal. Silly stuff like this will make or break your image. As far as I could tell, none of the employees seemed to know anything about animal husbandry, home improvement, farming, or really work that involved using your hands. It was just plain weird.

"I stopped in the shop without a scheduled appointment.
Jayson said they had time to look at it. The front tire had a squeal.
Paperwork was made up and the truck was in.
It was determined the roter had excessive rust built up.
Jayson took the time to grind it off as I waited.
What an awesome group of people and again thank you Jayson.

I was refused service and cussed at.

"I started looking for tires on July 6, my mom highly recommended that I go to Farm and Fleet so I called the nearest location, Oak Creek. Unfortunately my call(s) started at 9:54AM and I was hung up on. At 10:11AM I called back and was transferred a few times and then hung up on again after being placed on hold for 3 minutes... at 10:16AM I was transferred multiple times and placed on hold for 8 minutes before I gave up.
After that experience alone, I should’ve just decided to make my purchase somewhere else.
Unfortunately, I didn’t and called the Waukesha location. I spoke to a girl and let her know that I was hung up on a lot of times which she apologized for and said that they hear that a lot about that store...? Another red flag I overlooked. I asked if I would need an appointment, and she said it was just walk in service.
I went into the Waukesha location to purchase four new tires for my car. The girl highly recommended that I get an alignment as well for the warranty, it was $69.99 more but I agreed. I asked her if my interlock device would be a problem and let her know I would be able to start the car for the technicians. I just wanted clarification before making a $637 purchase. She said it would not be an issue.
I was hoping to have this all done Saturday when I went in to make the purchase, but the tires were not in-stock items that had to be ordered. She said they would be in Monday.
Totally understandable, she assured me I would receive a call when the tires were in and I could have them installed than that day. I planned accordingly for Monday.
I didn’t get receive a call Monday the 8th. I had to call at 12:07PM and was left on hold for 12 minutes.. finally, someone answered and took my name and number down and said someone would call me back because they’re very busy.
After not receiving call back I called at 2:15PM and got through to someone and he confirmed my tires were in and apologized for no one calling me back. He said that I wouldn’t be able to come in that afternoon because they were booked... That was unfortunate because the sales girl told me after I receive a call that the tires are in I could have them installed.
I rearranged my schedule again, Tuesday morning I walked in to get my tires changed finally!
The girl at the counter let me know it would be about three hours, I said that’s perfectly fine. It was a different associate than the one who had sold me the tires, so I asked if she would you like me to start the car now and where would be the best place to wait for when they need it started again. She was a bit confused and went back to ask the mechanic Dan. At this point I started voice recording on my phone just incase I wasn’t comprehending what the issue was because there seemed to be a huge disconnect in communication.
This is the part where I was not only publicly humiliated, but cussed at!
Dan came out and said he would not service my car because it had an interlock device.. I asked him why he was refusing me service when I had verified beforehand the circumstance for the car starting, and I asked where in any policy does it state that me having an interlock device ensues I am refused service that I paid for.
He replied “I am not showing you ****” and walked away from me…
I am still at a loss for words for being spoken to like that for absolutely no reason. I wasn’t even sure what to do at that point, but I figured the only logical next step would be to speak to a manager. The associate paged or called the manager Tom. I waited for 20 minutes in absolute disbelief of what just happened.
The summary of the conversation with Tom is that he said had no authority to give me any type of compensation for how I was treated, and these are words from his Regional Manager, Patrick, the only compensation would be to refund the installation fee that is $59.96.
Tom also told me that I was lying about how I was spoken to, and Dan did not swear at me because that is what the girls at the desk said. That is when I let him know I not only have a voice recording of Dan swearing at me at 8:39AM but showed him I was recording this conversation as well.
Not only was I verbally victimized by Dan for having a special circumstance with my vehicle which I made known at the time of purchase, but I was humiliated, and it was completely disregarded.
It’s not even compensation that I want, it’s a basic apology for being spoken to so barbarically.
I was not able to get the tires and alignment I paid and waited days for, but I was treated like I did something wrong. I am also confused on why there was even a discussion about his regional manager Patrick, when the store manager is Brian whom I didn’t even get to speak to.
Disappointed to say the least..

"They were supposed to ship out and be here by May 2nd, they didn't even get to the post office until May 1st. I really needed these for a test. I'm really disappointed that they weren't here on time.
So irritating because I haven't been able to find Brach's Jumbo Jelly beans ANYWHERE.

Blain's Car Battery - UPDATE - 5 STARS TO JOEL in JACKSON,. MI

"I want to update my previous review Of Blain's Farm & Fleet and my experience. Although, I still believe the battery I bought was defective (it happens), I experienced another episode of it being dead and then starting on the third attempt today, April 30th. I called customer service at the store and explained the entire situation and that I wanted to come in that same day and have a new battery installed under the replacement warranty. When I got to Blains, Joel was ready with a new battery already out on the counter so I could see the date of manufacture. Joel was extremely understanding and we talked about a couple of things, other than batteries, and then he went ahead and replaced the old batter with the new one.

As an aside, the new battery caused my car radio to lose it's code (it's a Honda C-V) and I had to re-set it. Because I'm stupid, I tried to reset the code in my garage without my reading glasses. After the 10th error message, the radio locked up forever. Since I have no tools, I drove back to Blains and Joel disconnected the battery for me so I could re-set the radio code.

Perfect customer service. I can understand products performing more poorly today than in the past because the quality that used to be there is gone for the most part and we have to live with that. But, good customer service doesn't cost anything and is very much appreciated. Joel, at Blain's Farm & Fleet in Jackson, Mi gets s HIGH FIVE and a double fist bump from a grumpy old man who really did appreciate the way everything was handled. THANKS, JOEL!
