"WARNING--Gray zone scam site.
Read on: I have ordered watches twice over 15 years. Excellent price, excellent service. So why the warning? Because the company bluedial.com is defunct. It appears to have been bought by ebay as a part of a bait and switch scheme. You go to buy a watch, put in in your basket, then try to pay or pay by paypal and you are directed to ebay. Shame on you ebay.
BlueDial.com is a SCHILL company only there to redirect to a general ebay seach. And Bluedial is not the only one, try watchco.com--same thing, a schill site that was once active.
Don't waste your time at bluedial--they are defunct. Only a mailbox exists where it once was, and their phone number brings you to a company that tells you it is no longer a number for bluedial.com. Bluedial ceased business in January, 2014.
A good company now being used by ebay as a part of a redirect site. I cannot prove this but tell me who else would redirect to ebay?
To resellerratings: before you nix this response do your research. If you agree you have the responsibility to make this clear. If you remove my post I will write a complaint with BBB because you would enable this sort of gray-zone scam. Bait and switch is illegal in all states! (If you allow my review, please feel free to remove this portion) "
"They'll sell used/returned watches as new. Buyer Beware!
Bought a "Seiko" came tumbled within the box(I can forgive that, but seriously it isn't too hard to keep a watch secure). Scratches along the crown and the side of the watch case, bracelet was clean except for the clasp. Movement/Glass and face of the watch are good though.
The only reason they get any stars is that their shipping was free and super fast, but thats about it, if you're trying to buy a nice watch, look elsewhere."
"Blue dial is not a Seiko dealer yet sell Seiko watches. I had the bad luck to purchase one . It came damaged and in the wrong box with no instruction book. The 30 day money back lie come with a reshipping charge and restocking fee. Customer service is not part of this company's culture. I had one order refused another double billed and no satisfaction from them at all. "
"After having purchased 3 other watches from Blue Dial, I decided to take advantage of an email offer I received from them at the end of October 2011.
I found just what I was looking for (as well as another watch) which I would give as Christmas presents.
One was a Citizen Eco drive which meeded to be charged, the other a Bulova which required sizing. After nearly two weeks of attempting to charge the Citizen, we gave up. We visited a reputable Jeweler (that had done two other Blue Dial purchase resizings for us, of course, for a price)that is an authorized Citizen dealer and was told that it would cost $30 to send it back to Citizen for repair/exchange. They suggested that since the "Return Seal" was in place, we speak to Blue Dial. At the same time, we had the Jeweler attempt to resize the Bulova. A "non-sizable link" retainer barrel on one the pins was missing and the pin slide out when the Jeweler pulled it out of the box (in full view of us). She suggested that we send that one back to Blue Dial as well because she felt that the pin missing the retainer barrel was going to allow it to come apart and lose the watch.
On January 19th I contacted Blue Dial expressing my dissatisfaction over having to pay return Shipping Charges and getting much hassle about the "30 Day Return Policy". Obviously NO ONE should buy Christmas gifts early. I paid for two working watches at the price listed. I do not feel that I should have to pay more than that price for two working watches.
Tim, their "boss", was unyielding, condesending, and in no way helpful in trying to resolve this "simple matter". I will never purchase, nor recommend Blue Dial Watches in the future."
"My experience with Bluedial.com was excellent. The hardest part about ordering with them was selecting just 1 watch from their massive inventory. I had a couple of questions about the watch i settled on and called there customer service number, the rep. was extremely helpful, and answered all the questions about the watch and their return policy. I received the watch 2 days from my purchase date with the Free UPS 2nd day air, and was very satisfied with the quality. My future watch purchases will be with Bluedial.com :-)"
"Great selection of watches, almost too much. Customer service was helpful to narrow down my choice. Free 2nd day shipping was great. Will definitely shop there again."
"One of the BEST companies that I've ever dealt with... Their shipping is VERY fast and all of their products are 100% authentic and come in EXCELLENT brand new condition. I will definitely deal with them again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! A+++"
"I had purchased two watches from BlueDial.com previously. I paid for both purchases promptly. With this latest order, I placed the order only to receive an email canceling it (it said at my request) 30 minutes later. I did not cancel anything. I called their customer service number and was told by the rep that “it happens sometimes”, and with a very ‘oh well’ attitude he told me to just “try it again”. I then sent an email to their customer service and the reply from a rep named John was basically just as rude. It said that there must have been “customer service” issues with a previous order, but he could not tell me what they were. He said that ‘in any event’, they would not be accepting any more orders from me. I have since inquired further for an explanation, but have received no replies, even when I sent the email directly to Amit Kraidman, the president of the company (found at manta.com). The only thing I can even possibly guess would be that with my second order they could not answer a basic question about the dimensions of the watch, then the 2-day delivery turned into 5 days. So, when I got a customer survey from Bizrate regarding the transaction, I shared that information. Could it be that they saw the survey and black-listed me because I gave honest feedback on their lack of product knowledge and service issues? In any event, a complaint has been filed with the BBB, and I would advise anyone thinking to do business with this company to think twice."
"Bought a Seiko Sportura from a local outlet for $600. Retail was $800. Thought that was a good deal. Got home and found BlueDial's site online. The same watch was $340! Returned the first watch and ordered with BlueDial. Tax on the first watch was $28. Tax on the BlueDial Watch was $0. Shipping would have been free but I live in Hawaii so it was $17. Watch arrived in three days in flawless and pristine condition with all original paper work. Will I buy from Bluedial again? Definately!"
"I have purchased about 11 watches from Bluedial.com over the last 18 months with no issues what so ever. The merchandise ships when it is supposed to, it is new in the factory box, with papers and stamped warranry card. I would do business with them again."
"John was the customer service person I spoke with initially... then I spoke with his manager. Both were extremely rude. I was shipped a defective watch. I called immediately to let them know. I followed all of the problem solving tips. Still the watch (a solar powered citizen eco drive) would not hold a charge in the dark. I was told that I would have to ship the watch back and insure it... which would cost around $16. I was assured that this cost would be reimbursed unless there was nothing wrong with the watch. Next thing I find that the watch has been shipped back to me without any communication. I call and John tells me that the watch was completely functional so that my shipping costs will not be reimbursed and that they have shipped the same watch back to me. This place is the worst... not only did I get a defective watch... I had to pay an additional $16... and the watch stops keeping time in the dark. Probably a great place to get a good deal, but if everything isn't perfect don't expect them to help. I have contacted the better business bureau, my credit card company, and Paypal... and they have had many incidents like this. Paypal is considering going off line with this company... BAD NEWS!!!"
"Customer service is absolutely horrible. Watch received as Christmas gift does not work. It will cost me $14.50 to send it back. You cannot get a return authorization without agreeing to their terms and agreeing to have your credit card charged for the shipping. Customer service comment was "we need to see if the watch is defective or you just don't know what you are doing." The "gentlemen", John, was extremely rude and short and could have cared less. They refuse to replace if the seal is broken, but how can you know what the watch is like without getting it out of the box. We have bought many watches with this company - never had to deal with the customer service, which is what makes a company good or bad. We will never buy a watch with Bluedial again. Think twice before buying here."
"I ordered my watch on Friday and it is here today Monday. Tracking was provided and watch is just what I ordered and it has the full US warr on it not the short Warr of some Ebay sellers. Very happy with them."
"Good experience. Received email confirming order, checked the website to see the status of the order, and received tracking number once shipped. They shipped the item 3 business days after the order was placed / confirmed. When it shipped, it was shipped 2 day UPS as advertised. Watch is exactly what I ordered. It appears to be working fine."
"I have ordered an esq watch from blue dial for $200. when i ordered it i put in a watch sizing of 7" they took an extra week to size it when it says 2 day processing. after this when they shipped it 2 days later after they shipped it i had not received any package. to this day i have not received it. i have spoken with their horrible customer service and was told multiple times it isn't our fault you need to go through ups. i have waited until now due to the fact that the watch is not offered anywhere else on the internet and in macys is $350.00 but i rather pay $500 then to continue being disrespected on the phone by blue dials customer service. i highly suggest that you pay more than deal with this company."
