"This is my 4th PROBLEM FREE web order from this store. I've never had a single problem with them, and their products are always exactly as they are described on their website. People always seem to make a big deal when something goes wrong, but how many people don't write anything because everything went perfect as they expected? I will continue to buy from Bonton, and highly recommend to my friends and family."

"BUYER BEWARE. FUNKY RETURN POLICY. Usually when we place an order, we expect the item to fit..... because we know our size. Well I order three pairs of shoes from BonTon.com. Two pairs, which were aerosoles, which are supposed to be comfortable shoes, hurt my feet in a couple of areas. It wasn't until I went to look for an ARS label (which is a UPS label used to return items to a company and they deduct like $6.95 from the return) and realized there was none. THere is this little slip that you have to cut with scissors and tape down to the box. I did so. The box weighs very little. I went to the post office to mail the package and the price was $11.50. I could not believe my ears. I live in Pennsylvania and the return is to Ohio. I called BonTon to inquire about a prepaid label and was told they only do that if the error is on their end.

Anyway, this is to let you know that if there is a possibility of the item not fitting (clothing, shoes) DONT buy unless you want to pay a ton of money to return the items.

Deal with a company that has either a free shipping/free return policy.... or a company that deals with the ARS label. I returned a package back to HSN (which I handed to my UPS driver when he delivered a package to my door--- no extra trip to the post office) which was twice the weight of the package to be returned to BonTon.com, and because HSN uses the ARS label system, I only paid $6.95.

I believe BonTon sells quality stuff, but their return policy suck! Because of this policy, I will no longer shop at BonTon, and will unsubscribe to their email updates. Good Bye BonTon.com

"I purchased a discovery kids train set on Dec 29, 2012 for a great price. Received an email that the item had shipped. Called on Jan 12, 2013 to see if there was a tracking number. I was told the item was out of stock. No notification after order placed that item out of stock and/or order cancelled. Told they would refund my money. Have yet to receive refund"

"I saw a great deal on KitchenAide 3-pc. Bakeware Set on a deal site from Bonton for $14.97 shipped. It was dirt cheap. I jump on the order right away. I didn't even check reselleratings and two days later, I got shipping notification. Product arrived, everything was intact. I was pretty happy, but now looking at the other reviews...I must of gotten lucky. To be honest, if I check out the reselleratings on Bonton....I probably would of passed. The bake gods were smiling me on this one. "

"ordered 8 throws (2 colors) intended to be used as part of holiday gifts. ordered on 12/3. it takes 1 week to get shipping notice. only 3 have shipped. I follow up with cust svc via email (as i'm at work and didn't have time to chase this down). they say rest of ordered has been canceled due to out of stock and that I should have received cancellation notice (I didn't). I tell the rep the product is currently in stock and has been in stock since I placed my order based on checking their website and ask them to ship rest of order. they say they can't modify an order, although cancelling is evidently not modifying.

After more back and forth via email (they only provide stock cut and paste answers and put no effort into resolving anything) I finally call cust svc. This was pathetically hilarious. As they tell it, as a bonus to their customers when they go and fulfill an order if it's out of stock they 'cancel it rather than make you wait forever'. This guy admits though they are having issues and not sending cancellation notices. Of course they don't bother to let customers know. I tell them the product is in stock and has been all week. He states most likely when they went to pull product it was oos that moment. I ask, doesn't their order entry system communicate with it's inventory system, and doesn't it communicate with it's purchasing system so you know if product is on the way? He changes subject and tells me to reorder product. Obviously I prefer not to but given 3 throws at this point is useless without the rest I have no chance. I tell him price is no longer the same so he graciously gives me a coupon code to use. Of course when I buy using the code it isn't he same discount I had originally so I end up paying higher price.

Net is I finally get the product, of course, so late now that co-workers have all left for holiday so have gifts for them when they return rather than leave for holiday. I purchase items online all the time and not unsympathetic when it comes to issues in the process. the most frustrating aspect is purely the fact no attempt was made for any real assistance. Their ordering system is totally outdated which can't be a surprise for them, but to ensure they are insulated from it, they put the worst customer service in place so customers go away.

"I order two pillows on 11/24/12. Received one pillow on 11/28/2012. Still waiting on the second pillow (12/14/12). Customer service is unresponsive and lied. They told me on 12//11/12 that a form had been submitted for a credit. It had not. I have tried repeatedly to either get the product or my credit. It is impossible to deal with their customer service. They will not let you talk to a manager. They do not respond to concerns. They are patronizing and deceitful. I will never order from them again!!!!!!"

"On 11/26/12 I ordered a T-Fal Signature Cookware set as a Christmass gift. The ordered was delivered on 11/29/12 which was very fast plus free shipping. The problem was the box was smashed and torn and looked like it was a return. I contacted Bon Ton customer sevice via email but received no responce. How do you give a gift in what looks like its been sitting in your basement waiting to be re-gifted. It's now 12/3/12 and BonTon customer service replied and stated they are sorry and would forward up the line. How sad that they would even respond like that."

"I am STILL waiting for a return label for an item I did NOT purchase! It has been 48 hours ....this is ridiculous. No problem taking my money but when 1 of the items was not in stock they substituted "something similar". When you order stainless flatware who wants 1 pattern of "something similar"??????? I have made 3 phone calls and no one can give me to a Supervisor...Terrible customer service!"

"I ordered an outdoor wireless thermostat from BonTon. The thermostat I received was not the item I ordered but a much cheaper item I had no use for. After some emails, they sent a return shipping label for UPS and I returned the item. Weeks later, when I had not heard from them, I emailed and received an answer that they would 'investigate' the issue. After week or so, I emailed again asking for an update, again I received an apologetic answer that they would investigate. Another week or so later, still no update, I email again. This time I recieve no answer. Another week later I email again with no answer. I will no contact my credit card for re-embursing me, and will write reviews so others are warned. Don't buy at BonTon!"
