"Do not order from this company!
The junk you get is from china and is pirated.
If they offer you to return, the cost to ship back to china is more than you paid to begin with."
""If I had known then..." Well, you fill in the rest. This company offered the first four seasons of "24" at a reasonable piice, so I placed an order. Only after the credit card had been charged did I learn:
This company coes not sell DVDs in the original packaging. "If you want fancy boxes, buy them somewhere else." "We sell content, not boxes." Uh-huh...
"im sorry our company does not cancell orders" [sic]
"Delivery may take up to 21 days." Yet it took 21 seconds to charge my card. Reputable dealers will usually not charge your card until the item is shipped. Again, this, as well as the firm's other unusual policies, is set forth in a "FAQ" which is made available AFTER the order is placed.
The credit card bill says "Dr Turk NY". Give Boxed TV Series and Dr. Turk a pass. I wish I had.
James E. Carroll
Update: The disks are labeled in Chinese. Initially they didn't play properly. THis may be the fault of my DVD player; at any rate, Dr Turk has offered replacements if it turns out the disks are bad.
Bottom line: slow, but so far they have done what they said they'd do.
