"Got OE rotors and brakes in 1/09 for an 04 Jaguar X Type. The brakes were great. Just had my car checked up today. They said I need to replace the front ones but the back ones are fine. It's been 5 years and no problems. "
"I ordered brakes for my Expidition back in June and was told delivery in 1 week. after just over a week my wife called them and got the run around, after talking to cust service was then connected to the "floor foreman" and told that there was a problem with the parts and had to be sent to heat treating. being the understanding person I am, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After many phone calls and excuses, and many months later, the wife tries to call both phone numbers, both disconnected, I try the web site is shut down. they got $410 dollars out of me and I am not happy!"
"The last order that I placed with Brake Planet was a fiasco. When I placed the order, they said that my parts (rotors and shoes for a '99 GMC) were in stock. Four days later when I asked why they hadn't shipped yet (by email) the reply said that they had problems with their phones and that my order had been delayed (not sure what the connection was). They said that my parts were in stock and that my order would ship out in 2-3 days -- so 6-7 days to ship an order that is in stock?! I waited another 7 days and contacted them again to see why my order had not shipped. I was given the same story and so I asked to please cancel my order. They said that they could not do that and that I would have to return the parts (and pay the shipping charges both ways) after they shipped them out -- but they still didn't know when they would ship them. At that point I asked again nicely to please cancel my order and they again told me that they could not do that. I then told them that I would file a complaint with my credit card company and ask to have my money refunded -- yes they charged me immediately after I placed my order but could not ship the product. I was afraid that they were going bankrupt and that I would have to file with the bankruptcy court to get my money back if I waited any longer, so I contacted my credit card company the same day and told them the story and requested a refund. The charge was reveresed on my credit card the following day and I never heard another word from Brake Planet again. Maybe they are still searching their warehouse (now 7+ weeks ago that I placed the order) looking for my parts? :-)"

I am so unhappy with the customer service department. I have been waiting 14 days and I got prior confirmation that the order had shipped, 12 days in found out that the order never had shipped. I was promised a 20% discound but am concerned after reading other unsatisfied customers if my order did in fact ship out or if I will actually get the inconvience discount promised. I too will go to BBB and perhaps the credit card company or a 7 on your side news channel?? I did have a previous order with them 18 months ago and other the shipment taking excedingly longer than promised 4 days to arrive.
I too am in the same State as Brakeplanet so I don't see how or why Brakeplanet would lie about the lead time. I also did get the run around with multiple calls to customer sat, and multiple email requests for a status update."
"I paid $103 for a pair of rotors. I spent $150 to put them on my car. They (one of them) are warped at the first test. I spent $100 to take them off. Spent another $20 to return for exchange (no return if you already put them on). Cheap China product. Poor quality. Spend more time and money. Dont buy from here."
"TERRIBLE customer service. They sent me the wrong parts and won't even return my 4 emails to their so called customer service department to work it out. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE RIP OFF ARTISTS. Reading other reviews it is pretty obvious that this is how they do business. I now will pursue them through my credit card company. "
"Horrible, Horrible, service. I ordered one of the Rotors and brake kits with unbridled enthusiasm as I do all the work on the vehicle myself (a 2000 mazda protege). Great, I thought. I get slotted rotors and good brakes for a decent price. About a week goes by, and I still have not received a tracking number or anything indicating that the order had been shipped. I give them a call, and they inform me that the brakes are back ordered and it would take an addional 2-10 days to receive them. I hit the roof by then, because as they slowly churn their brains over there, my current rotors and brakes are ever fading and warping. I need these parts ASAP. So, I ask for a refund for the brake pads, and ask them to ship the rotors. Well, rotors finally arrived a couple days ago (seeing how I live on Los Angeles, and they are in Santa Clarita (20-30 miles north of LA) they should not have taken so long to arrive. I wonder what they were doing this whole time??!!) Of course, for the last 3 weeks I have been trying to get a credit for those lousy pads they never sent. Of course, they keep giving me the run around as to why the check was never issued, or why the payment has not been posted, etc. What is a consumer to do when they get "boinked" in the nether region? A large company can take your lively hood harass you, go to collection agencies, etc. Us little folk, have to stay and wait and hope that what is rightfully ours (precious gasoline spending moolah) is given back. Why is the customers voice never heard. Its not about the money (its not a lot-40 bucks or so) its about trading goods for services. I gave them money for pads, I should get my pads or my money back, what gives them the right to take my money, and not either refund it to me, or give me the parts? Oh....what a world we live in!"
"I’m apparently in the minority here…. In June 2008 I received excellent service. I decided to take a chance base on their 1000’s of customers, low cost & lifetime warranty (which means I pay $10-45 shipping cost for returned items). Shipping was free and arrived within 7 business days. Plain rotors and semi-metalic pads shipped separately and arrived in excellent condition. Email notifications and Fed-X ground tracking numbers were sent promptly. RE: 2006 Dodge Dakota front pads & rotors.
After 2-3 months of commuting, I’ll edit / update this feedback on quality.

Have called numerous times, emailed, but no reply back. I did get through one, was put on hold and then disconnected. DO NOT trust them. I am turning it over to credit card folks to handle."
"We too placed an order with Brake Planet. Then shortly there after we received a form letter saying the brake part we ordered were temp out of stock but they would get them "one of their local trusted suppliers" but that could take an additional 2-10 days. If this was going to be a problem then simply call customer service. I returned the email and requested they cancel the order. They sent another email saying I must call to cancel. I have called customer service twice and have been told there is no one there who can cancel this order but they will call me back. This hasnt happened. After doing some research I see that this is a very common practice with Brake Planet. No brake parts delivered and refunds made to the charge card dont happen. Beware! Be very aware you are likely to be scammed as it appears we have been. We have contacted the BBB and our credit card company to start the dispute procedure. VERY SORRY WE GOT CONNED INTO DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE. You should be to. 5-12-08 They say they have cancelled this order by email but HAVE NOT refunded the charge to our credit card and will not answer our calls or emails. This appears to be consistant with other complaints. "
"Very disappointed, their customers service reps are trained to lie. They emailed confirmation with UPS tracking number that is not valid. You cannot track the order since the order was never shipped. After 2 weeks I called to check the status, they placed me on hold for more than 30 minutes. Then came back and said they are going to re-ship the item, since their employees fail to ship the items. They said in 5 days I should have the item and they would credit me 20% for the inconvenience. 2 weeks passed again and still waiting. I tried calling back and the reps said “ BreakPlanet, please hold” you never could get to them. They drive me sick. To much stress, it pays to shop elsewhere."

"Place an order on 4/10, just got it today on 4/20 in the same state! Will not inform you that it is out of stock and then send me some cheapo brand other then the sets I ordered. Also sent me the wrong application after I told them that I have drums in the rear not disc. Poor customer response and no answers. I now have to deal with my creditcard company for refund if any."
