"First, lets start off with some facts. Brown's Toyota in Glen Burnie is a small car dealership. They sell around 150-180 cars a month. The competition in the area is intense. For there are six Toyota dealerships within a 20 mile radius. Hence, a Toyota customer has a lot of choices. Brown's Toyota is not competitive when it comes to sales or car care services. New car inventory is relatively low compared to other dealerships. Plus, high turnover in the service department leads to abhorrent customer service. It is really hard to build a relationship with a service advisor when new ones are there every month. Plus, buy a new car to receive services on.
I choose to go to this dealership because it is relatively close to me. I understand that the service department is substandard and has trouble maintaining staff. I have also come to understand that the sales department struggles due to low inventory. This does not mean that the dealership as a whole doesn't try and do their best to appease customers. Unfortunately, their best is below average in my opinion.
This review will change nothing. More importantly, the same customers will be sitting in the customer lobby for four hours complaining today, tomorrow, and the next year. I just decided that it was worth the extra ten mile drive to receive better customer service somewhere else. This doesn't mean that I won't utilize services offered at Brown's Toyota. It just means that I will think twice before doing so. "
"My experience with ordering parts from Safford Brown Toyota was great, and that was because of Aubrey. The schematics Toyota provides online for the parts display are very detailed and somewhat confusing. After I placed my order successfully, Aubrey called me within 20 min. to clarify what I ordered, because she saw what I saw on the schematics. That extra level of detail and customer service allowed me to get the part I needed, fast. It was exactly what I needed and it fits & functions perfectly."
