So far this company has been AWOL. Placed an order Monday night, have yet to receive email confirmation. They will not answer their phones, and so far have not returned my 2 calls or 1 email. I will update if this gets better, but so far, no good.

7/16/03:
They finally returned my phone call. Said they had shipped the item. Still no response to my email and NO email confirmation of the order at all. They have charged my card.

7/18/03:
Received my order today in good condition, it was packed well. Also received an email response today to an email I sent on 7/16/03. Here is my overall impression of this company: They will communicate with you at the times of their choosing, in other words, don't expect to talk to someone when you call, and don't expect speedy responses to email. When you do receive communication, the tone tends to be mildy confrontational but polite. What I mean is that the email and phone message I received said something like "we sent an email confirmation after you placed your order", but I never received one.

What I find interesting about this type of communication (not very timely, mildly confrontational but always polite), is that they do not have to act this way toward a customer. I ordered from them because they had the items I was interested in at a good price, not because they were the only place around that had them. For me (and I suspect most people) all it would have taken to keep me happy would have been a small apology for the miscommunication rather than an attitude like I was wrong for not receiving it. Basically their communication with me always maintained a line sort of like we sent it, but I guess we have to send it again.

Anyway, this company delivered what they promised in a reasonable amount of time and it was packaged well. The shipping was a little pricey (nearly $15 for a battery charger w/batteries and a lens adapter via USPS Priority Mail), and I still never received an email confirmation of the order after I placed it. Ultimately, its up to you whether to shop here or not. I have definitely had FAR worse experiences with other online retailers.

"Telephoto adapter was shipped the next day Priority mail. Box was a little squished (Post Office supplied box), but plenty of packing and no affect on lense. Item arrived coast to coast in 2 days. It was the best price I could find and only $7 for shipping. I received an email confirmation but no tracking information. However, the website did not indicate there would be tracking information, so I can't fault that. I have no issues with the product I ordered. I would buy from here again."

This company was the first online site that I could find for Tiffen brand filters. There prices and slection were good shipping was $7.00 dollars.
